Drat! Again? Why did it always be her stuck here? A sigh escaped from Angel's lips, painting the window a frosty white. It sure was cold today. A slight shiver ran through the girl's body, a shaky breath echoing the shiver. Her fingers grasped the edges of her jacket, pulling it closer to her body. Maybe she should've asked for a ride from her mom or a friend today. Surely, their car would be much warmer than this rusty old bus. Frowning, she rested her head on the seat of the bus, her face facing the window. Oh, how she wanted a friend to be here. Angel always loved to rest her head on their shoulders, although some of them seemed to dislike it.
The vehicle came to a stop, and the girl gathered her things. She didn't bring much; only her bag full of things and her iPod. Music. Such a beautiful thing. Hopping off in a slightly childish manner, she emitted a sound of glee as her eyes met those of a dear friend. Tight hugs and kisses on the cheek were given to each and every companion in the group of four.
"How was your holiday, Angle?" a short-haired girl smiled.
"Great, and yours?" Angel disliked the nickname she had apparently be given, but she chose not to complain about it for now. Brushing some of her long-ish, almost-black hair out of the way, she continued.
"Damn siblings annoyed me like crazy," she shrugged, "But I guess I'm fine."
"Nice, Becky," there was a slight smirk on Angel's face, but it quickly faded into her usual smile as she turned her attention to one of the two other girls who seemed to be having their own little conversation, "Yours, Jen?"
"Uh, good, I guess." No smile from this young lady. Just an expression of slight confusion, "Oh, and I got things for all of you. I'll get them later."
"Really? Thank you so much! You didn't have to," Angel's delighted tone was kind of faked, but they wouldn't notice, would they? She offered Jennifer a quick hug, then faced the friend she had yet to talk to.
"Good," spoke the tall-ish and fair girl with medium-length raven hair, right has Angel started turning towards her, "Mwaha~, and psychic as ever."
Angel laughed. They had had a few laughs about being 'psychic' long before, when they were in elementary school, "Good times, good times. Glad you still remember them, Ashlyn."
Ashlyn's personality was absolute love. Of course, everyone had traits that were a little unsatisfactory, but Ashlyn was mostly good traits. Cute, kind, thoughtful, and a bunch of other things...not to mention her many talents. Sure, Ashlyn didn't do amazing-good in basketball, but she was very skilled in other sports. And why pick basketball to mention? That was one of Angel's favorite sports, which she played often during autumn.
A reunion. How nice. Although they had only missed eachother for a few weeks, it felt like decades since their last face-to-face conversation or touch. Touch...ha! That sounded kind of dirty. Angel mentally slapped her mind for thinking such thoughts. Perhaps it was because of some of the songs she'd been listening to...but certain types of thoughts appeared in her mind constantly. It was probably just a part of growing up. She'd have to ignore it for now.
