1. Diffent ways of dealing with one's feelings: Makoto Kino
Makoto Kino was punching and kicking her punching bag hard, showing it no mercy. Finally after an especially hard kick it flew of the hook and dropped on the floor. But that wasn't enough for Makoto, oh no. She jumped on it and began to hit is as fast and as hard as she could without breaking it and ending up to pay for the damages. She kept going until she was too exhausted to continue anymore and simply lay limbly on it.
''Having fun?'' she heard Rei Hino asking.
Makoto looked up and saw Rei standing there. She growled a bit and stood up. It took all Rei's willpower not to step back from the sweaty and aggressive looking Makoto.
''How long have you been there?'' Makoto asked her in colorless tone.
''Well, when I came in you had knocked his lights off already.''
Makoto smiled a bit and took a sip of water from her bottle. Rei relaxed after seeing that Makoto hadn't lost her sanity.
''So what's up with you? It isn't like you to kick someone's ass like that.'' Rei asked casually.
''I'm a bit frustrated.'' was all that Makoto said.
''May I ask you why?'' Rei gulped against her will when she saw Makoto glaring at her.
''I would appreciate if you wouldn't.'' she murmured a bit annoyed.
''Sure thing. Just remember I'm always there if you need listener.'' Makoto's expression softened a bit by Rei's words
''Don't worry about me. It's nothing serious, I just need to think and sort my feelings out.''
Rei nodded smiling a bit and excused herself. Makoto sat on a bench near the exit and sighed heavily. It had been quite long ago when she had realised her feelings for a certain senshi of love. First she had been confused about what she felt and she thought it would be just some phase in her life which would go away in time. But it didn't. On the contrary the feelings had been just reinforcing.
She realised that it had only brought other issues with it. Questions about her sexual identity being just one of them. She didn't want to talk to any adult about it nor with her friends. Burdening others wasn't her way, so she kept everything bottled up to herself, like she had always done. But when you shake the bottle enough it wants to burst out even more.
She had actually decided to tell Minako Aino about her feelings. When Minako would turn her down, this whole silly thing would be over and she would return to her normal life and drool over boys who looked like her old sempai. As if. She knew it was stupid but she needed to tell Minako and work it out of her system before it became obsession to her, if it hadn't already. Especially when they had to work so closely together that kinds of emotions just couldn't be hidden for years.
But then her plan had backfired: Minako started to act weirdly. It felt like she was avoiding Makoto everytime she had the chance. They were never alone, everyone were always around. They never went anywhere together anymore. Makoto thought maybe Minako had found out her secret but that was impossible. Makoto simply didn't show her emotions to anyone and she hadn't told anyone about it. So she figured out that something else was bothering Minako. Makoto wanted to find out what exactly, so she could help Minako sort it out. When Minako was okay she could tell her stupid secret, then Minako could brake her heart, Makoto could weep and heal and continue living. It sounded like a waterproof plan.
Makoto decided this was the night when she would take the bull by its horns. She needed to get this over with as soon as possible. The aggression and fustration over the situation grew more and more each day and soon she wouldn't be able to control her emotions anymore and she would end up in a fight and find herself kicked out of the school or end up in prison in the worst scenario. Yes, this had to be done, tonight.
She sat a while and then decided to go to the steam sauna and relax a bit before she would meet Minako. It seemed like a quiet day and no one else were in the dojo. Makoto opened the door which led into the sauna and was petrified by what she saw there. There was a sweaty couple making out on a bench.
''I'm sorry. I didn't know someone was here.'' Makoto apologised blushing lightly and started to leave.
Then she realised the one laying on top of the other one was Rei. Rei was pinning the other person on the bench and the other person was Ami Mizuno. Makoto gasped.
''It's alright, were nearly done. Right Ami?''
''Yes.'' Ami said blushing and Makoto didn't know whether it was because of the heat or the fact that Makoto had saw them two or something else.
Ami and Rei excused themselves and left the bewildered Makoto standing there.

''Do you think it worked?'' Ami asked worriedly.
''If it did, it was worth of the embarassment. Right honey?'' Rei answered amused.
''Yes dear.'' Ami said and blushed.
Rei laughed a bit and said cheerfully ''Now phase two in the 'lets get Makoto out of the closet' -plan.''.
''Don't you think this is a bit silly? Since we haven't come of the closet either?'' Ami tried to reason one more time.
''Nonsense, honey. And besides we just came out of the closet.'', Rei stated and Ami looked shocked like she hadn't thought about that fact earlier, ''Now, back to phase two: showers.'' Rei continued smiling evilly.

Makoto was sitting in the steam sauna, thinking about what she had just seen. She had thought that their friends opinion about homosexuality was a bit prejudiced but now she had seen two of them practicing it in a public place. If Ami and Rei had found each others, could it mean she and Minako two had a chance? 'No! It can't be true, that won't happen! I'm so damn unlucky in these things. I'm just torturing myself, now back to the plan. End of story!' she thought.
Who could love a girl like her? It was a joke. It was a miracle she even had friends. She understood that by telling about her feelings she could ruin her friendship with Minako but she needed to do this and Minako didn't seem like a person who would desert her friends. Besides even if Minako would start to hate her, at least Rei and Ami wouldn't abandon her as a dyke or a pervert. Though she couldn't believe that Minako would think so either, she was just too sweet and kind for that kind of thing. Makoto started to smile while thinking Minako. It would propably be a bit awkward first, but time would heal all the wounds and their friendship.
Makoto closed her eyes and tried to relax but it was impossible. The anxiety was with her all the time not letting her forget how beautiful eyes Minako had and how her hair shone in the sunlight. She didn't want to lose Minako but she really needed to get the whole Minako business done for the sake of her own sanity. Makoto groaned and decided to go to shower and then home.
When she reached the showers she found a very nude couple making out on the floor while all the showers were on. Makoto sweatdropped and wasn't surprised it was once again Rei and Ami. She just wondered how Rei had persuaded the shy Ami to that kind of public show of emotions and..more.
''Don't let me bother.'' Makoto said and decided to go shower, she hadn't got all day to wait to get cleaned.
Rei and Ami were startled by Makoto's voice and broke their kiss but relaxed when noticing it was just Makoto.
''Ok.'' Rei said and continued working on Ami.
''Rei, wait! We can't when Mako-chan is here.'' Ami tried to protest.
''Don't let me bother.'' Makoto said a bit irritated.
''You heard her.'' Rei whispered huskily and pinned Ami on the floor.
''Rei-chan! It bothers me, please stop!'' Ami said more firmly.
''Oh fine! I guess we can wait until we get to my place.'' Rei said reluctantly.
''Thanks honey. I will make this up to you.'' Ami promised.
''You bet.'' Rei said smirking coyly.
Makoto closed her eyes and tried not to think two of her friends making love. She tried to concentrate on the hot water cascading over her exhausted body. Makoto sighed in relief when Rei and Ami stopped their ministrations and prepared to leave.
''Bye then, Mako-chan!'' Ami said and Rei just waved.
''Bye! See ya!'' Makoto answered and hoped they wouldn't start to do these kinds of things on regular basis in public places.
Once Makoto had showered she went to home and prepared to meet Minako. Once she had made the decision to tell Minako about her feelings and get it all over with, she started to feel a bit better. Sooner than she could have imagined, she found herself standing outside of Minako's house. Makoto took a deep breath and prepared herself for the challenge.
