The group of girls made it back to the village quickly as they headed straight for the hospital. Temari was groaning loudly as Hinata and TenTen set her one of the beds.
“I’ll send for Tsunade, TenTen go get Shino, he maybe the only one that can help Temari now. Ino, Hinta watch her.” Sakura ordered without arguement as she looked at the others and then to Hinata who was leaning over Temari, holding her hand. Ino nodded knowingly as Sakura followed TenTen out. A nurse walked through their wake to control the area and stood behind Hinata.
“You’ll have to leave the rest to us now.” The nurse ordered softly, but Hinata just swung back with her fist and smashed the nurse in the face. The nurse stumbled back to the wall holding a gushing nose as she panted with surprise.
“Don’t tell me what to do!” Hinata yelled fiercely as she turned around, her eyes blazing.
“Hinata!” Ino snatched the Hyuuga girl back by the shoulder as Hinata slapped her hand away.
“I can help her Ino, please jus…!” Hinata’s eyes started tearing with fear and anger as she looked back to Temari groaning on the bed.
“You’re done here Hinata!” A stern voice ordered as it stood in the doorway with Sakura behind it.
“Tsunade-sama?!? that was fast.” Ino gawked as the tall, blonde woman walked into the room.
“I was already in the building, Sakura told me a bit of what happened, what’s her stat…?” Tsunade asked as Hinata started in.
“But Tsunde-sa…” Hinata began to protest lightly this time as Tsunade darted right behind the girl and laid a stiff chop to the back of Hinata’s neck. Ino quickly caught the girl and held her tight.
“Nurse, fresh water and two pints of AB+ blood, Ino please take Hinata into the next room she sounds a little tired.” Tsunade directed sternly as she pulled open Temari’s shirt. To her horror she found red bruises growing all over the sand girl’s body.
“Hurry Sakura.” Tsunade started running lifelines to Temari’s body as Sakura began on her pre-inspection list. Ino just stared at the red spots as Tsunade looked back and yelled at her.
“Now Ino! I’m going to need you and Sakura until Shino gets here.” They all started swiftly at the tasks at hand as they knew they needed to work quickly if they were going to save Temari’s life.
A couple of hours pasted as Shino and Tsunade walked out of the room. Sakura and Ino sat on a bench quietly as they both looked up, somberly. Shino left wordlessly as Tsunade turned to the girls.
“We’ve done all we can, Shino says she has a 20% chance of pulling through, it’s a slim chance but we've done everything we can for her.” Tsunade sighed as her hands meet her hips.
“An 80% chance of dying? She might as well be dead!” Ino raised her voice as Sakura’s gripped her arm.
“She’s lucky, goddamn lucky. If Shino was’in here she would have been dead an hour ago, Temari is infected by some kind of bug, he’s injected her with a counter-parasite, but it maybe too late for her.” Tsunade rubbed her face with exhaustion.
“But it’s just a bug bite, how bad can it be?” Sakura asked as she got to her feet as well.
“It’s more then just a bug bite, it was a forbidden jutus used in his clan and it's usually fatal.” Tsunade looked back at the room.
“All we can do is wait until morning, but don’t get your hopes up and…” Tsunade turned and headed down the hall. “…Keep a close eye on Hinata, there’s no telling what she’ll do at this point.” Tsunade looked to the two girls as they both nodded.
“Good, get some rest, I’ll be back tomorrow.” The tall blonde rounded the corner and out of sight. Sakura and Ino both looked at each other and then to the room Hinata was in.
The next morning Hinata awoke slowly as sunlight shown in through a crack in the curtains.
“Morning? How long have I been asleep?” Hinata asked herself quietly as she rolled over in bed.
“TEMARI!!!”
Hinata bolted upright and out of bed as she made haste to the door and opened it. The halls were strangely empty as she raced to the room Temari was in. Hinata sighted in relieve as Temari lay, breathing silently on her bed. The Hyuuga girl made her way across the room as she saw Ino and Sakura sleeping in the two chairs next to Temari’s bed.
“Thank god everyone is ok.” Hinata smiled as she stood next to Temari and gripped her hand. The door suddenly slammed shut as a dark laughter grew in it's wake. Hinata froze in place as she had heard the sinister laugh before.
“You really think that?” The voice asked as Hinata turned to the last person she thought she’d ever see again.
“Shina.”
The cloud-cloaked girl walked slyly to Hinata as the girl took up an attack stance.
“That won’t work and you fucking know it.” Shina continued to walk closer as Hinata attacked her. In two flashes Shina held Hinata in place with her arms pinned behind her back.
“This is for your friends punching me and breaking my favorite pair of glasses.” Shina sneered viciously as she bent Hinata’s left arm up until it snapped like a twig. The young Hyuuga screamed in unbelievable agony as she felt her arm go limp in the crazy girl’s firm grip.
“Ohhhh, did that hurt? I’m sorry, here let me even you out.” Shina cooed softly and then broke Hinata’s other arm. Hinata bit back on the pain this time as Shina let her go with a chuckle. Hinata hit the floor as she struggled to her knees.
“Hehehe, you didn’t even scream that time, good girl.” Shina teased meanly, fanning out her short hair. Hinata was on her knees next Temari’s bed as she looked back up at Shina, smirking down at her.
“P-Please do what you want to me, but leave my friends alone.” Begged Hinata as she tried not to focus on the pain in her broken arms.
“Listen to you. “Leave my friends alone” Ha, what bullshit, I have a good mind to kill every ninja in this shitty little village.” Shina mocked darkly as she pulled Hinata’s hair back.
“Please, just!” Hinata continued to plead as Shina slammed her head into the corner of Temari’s bed, causing her eyebrow to explode with blood.
“It’s too fucking late now, as you can see these two are already dead.” Shina pointed to Sakura and Ino.
“No, but why?” Hinata looked closer at the two girls as she tried to move closer to them. Hinata wiped the blood from her eye with her shoulder, as she noticed neither girl was breathing.
“Sakura, Ino wake up, please wake up!” Hinata demanded, inching closer.
“I wouldn’t get too close if I were you.” Shina grinned as she snapped her fingers. Sakura and Ino’s bodies erupted with bugs as their flesh, blood, and muscles were ripped apart and spread across the room.
“NOOOO!!!” Hinata fell back covered in blood and guts as Shina grabbed Hinata by the back of her neck. Hinata shook the girl off only for a second as the girl gripped her harder.
“Your legs aren’t fucking broken, on your feet now bitch!” Hinata staggered to her feet, with her arms broken she couldn’t stabilize herself very well.
“They were just the first, your girlfriend here she’s… oh look, she’s waking up.” Shina acted surprised as Temari moaned and blinked.
“Temari! Your alive!” Hinata flung herself at the blonde sand ninja as Temari made an uncomfortable sound.
“H-Hinata is that you?” Temari smiled crookedly as she looked down at the white-eyed girl crying into her chest.
“Is’in that cute? Sorry to break you love birds up, but I have some more suffering to put this little slut through.” Shina grabbed a handful of Hinata’s dark hair and pulled her to her feet.
“Y-You!” Temari gritted her teeth as Shina just smiled at her.
“Watch closely now, because this is going to hurt, a lot.” Shina held her other hand out over Temari’s chest.
“You fucking bitch I’m goin…” Temari snarled but suddenly froze in shock.
“Temari, what’s wrong?” Hinata asked in a panicky voice as Temari’s body started convulsing wildly.
“I’ll tell you, my little friends are eating your girlfriend here from the inside out, and believe me it’s very painfully and very fucking slowly.” Shina explained as she licked Hinata’s ear. Temari’s body thrashed as she threw the covers off her naked body. The blonde screamed bloody murder as different parts of her body began to bulge.
“TEMARI!!!” Hinata yelled in complete fear, as she couldn’t do anything but watch the vicious bugs eat their way through Temari’s soft skin.
“D-Don’t loouurrggg!” Temari tried to speak as bugs foamed from her mouth. Hinata turned away swiftly, but Shina forced her head forward to the young sand girl now covered in her flesh-eating bugs.
“Ahhhh, now was’in that fun? Let's try something else.” Shina asked crudely as she kicked the back of Hinata’s leg out, dropping her to her knees.
“Now my dear, you too must suffer.” Shina laughed, walking around to the front of Hinata as her fingertips grew long and sharp.
“Like your girlfriend there, you will meet the same end, only much more painful and much slower.” Shina got to her knees as she placed her fingers on Hinata’s chest and dug them into her breast. Hinata spat every curse she knew as she felt something enter her chest through Shina’s fingers.
“And here’s a little something for my twin brother.” Shina licked her lips and pressed them to Hinata’s in a loving gesture, then got to her feet.
“You can always end your life now and skip the horrible fate that awaits you.” Shina suggested and she threw a kunai into the floor in front of Hinata. Hinata sobbed loudly as she looked to the bloody messes that had once been her friends. Trembling she slowly pulled the kunai from the floor as Shina paused at the door and waited.
“Sakura, Ino, Temari…”
“…I’m sorry.”
Hinata apologized, as she aimed the kunai for her throat and rammed the sharp steel in it into her neck.
