“Dude.”
What was that? As I can recall, I hear nothing at all.
“DUDE, HEY!”
I jumped, startled by the loud shout from my companion, Isabella.
“W-what?” I replied with the voice Isabella always hated. The-Annoying-Cow-Voice. In fact I always hated her smile. The smile that didn’t make me smile back, but made me incredibly clueless. “Wait.” I thought, “That smile is familiar.” I always think of the nostalgic feeling of the smile, but never think what’s behind it. I always seem to end the thought with an “I don’t give a shit.” Obviously it’s because I have better things to do.
It was a cold and fresh night in my school. I couldn't hear nothing but silence. Absolute silence that was...too quiet, and too strange.
Isabella poked me in the forehead.
“Lucy, you’re not going to sit down like some stupid pig that just got sliced. Oh wait, that pig’s dead. You’re not going to end up dead, Lucy. But you are going to be sliced like hell.”
“What the hell are you talking about? Of course I wouldn-“
Before I could finish my sentence, I saw Isabella’s body fall. Her graceful body lay there on the ground, her smile still remaining. Strange, I’m not crying. I feel something’s missing… something’s not right. I look upon the killer’s face, and felt absolute grief.
“Oh.” I smiled. “So that’s how you’re going to play the game…”
