Chapter 1

Summer has never been Raven's favorite time of the year. It was only a small comfort that she chose to wear a leotard for a costume. Thanks to lazy, hot Saturdays, where even the villians had to kick back, Raven was able to hang up her cape and melt in the heat in the privacy of her room. It wasn't complete privacy though, no such thing existed in the T tower. Lying on her bed, the breeze from a nearby fan hitting her face and neck, Raven growled when a knock came at her bedroom door. See? No privacy.

"Someone better have died," Raven called. The heat made her very irritated.

Not that she was exactly warm and fuzzy to begin with.

"No one has died that I am aware of," came the confused reply from behind the door.

"Starfire? What do you want?"

"Would girlfriend Raven like to partake in the eating of err.. Banana ice cream splinters?" Starfire said with some pause as she recalled the name of the dessert.

Sighing, Raven arose from her bed and tried to hide her annoyance. Granted, it was hard to be annoyed when Starfire said one of her interesting little mix up of words. Opening the door to the Tamaranean princess, Raven was greeted by the large, cheery smile of her girlfriend. In her hands were two large bowls of ice cream goodness mixed with promises of heat reprieve. Raven wasn't sure which sight she liked better.

"It's 'banana splits', Star," Raven corrected, with a small smile.

"Oh. Would you care to join me in the eating of 'banana splits'?" The smile on Starfire's face didn't falter once.

It was seriously hard to say 'no' to a scantily clad teen girl with ice cream in her hands on a hot summer day. If Starfire wasn't so... Starfire-ish, Raven would've thought this was a seduction attempt.

"Sure, come in," the shorter girl said, stepping out of the way as Starfire happily floated in.

The empath motioned for Starfire to take a seat on the bed and locked her bedroom door still determined to get some degree of privacy. Joining Starfire, Raven took an offered bowl from her girlfriend's hand. Hand free, Starfire quickly dug into her banana split, pausing only when she caught a 'frozen brain'. Smiling at the Tamaranean as the redhead scrunched up her face as the pain passed, Raven slowly began eating her ice cream. It was a very large bowl, way too large for her to finish as it had two bananas, at least eight big scoops of ice cream, and a mountain of nuts and fudge atop of it all. While she took her time eating, Raven couldn't help but observe Starfire and because she had memorized all of the redhead's features before, Raven was able to notice one peculiar thing.

"You're not sweating," Raven said in somewhat surprise.

Starfire paused mid-bite and tilted her head. "Why should I be sweating?"

"Because it's ninety-something degrees out and most of us are drenched in sweat."

"Is it hot? I do not feel different than any other day."

Frowning, Raven reached out and touched Starfire's leg, than her arm, and even the one unmessy cheek in disbelief. The redhead was cool to the touch, refreshingly so, while Raven was ready to rip off her leotard and hop in the shower. These Tamaraneans are made of some odd stuff, Raven mused as Starfire wiped her mouth on the back of her hand. Dark fingers reached out and touched a bead of sweat that rolled down the empath's neck.

"You are sweating," Starfire said with a look in her eyes Raven had never seen before.

"Well yeah, I told you it's hot today."

"You shivered when I touch you. Why?"

Raven hadn't thought the other girl had noticed her small shivers whenever her skin touched Starfire's. With a light blush, the empath set her bowl down on a nearby shelf, only realizing when she was done that Starfire had done the same with hers, which still contained a good portion of banana split goodness (far less than what Raven had left though). That was quite odd.

"What are you doing?" Raven asked and jumped when a cool hand touched her thigh.

"I would like to cool you off. If I am cool and you are hot then does not that mean I can cool you off?"

"How do you plan to...," Raven squeaked, horrified she had done so.

Fully blushng now, Raven tried to glare at the redhead for enticing such an embarrassing sound from her. However, the dark hand that had slipped high up her thigh now trailed slowly down the other and really, there was no way you could glare at that. Goosebumps crept up Raven's body as she looked down at the hand on her leg, instantly becoming fascinated, as she usually did when she noticed it, by the contrast of Starfire's skin against hers.

The empath's lips trembled, wanting to tell Starfire that she was overstepping Raven's comfort boundaries, but was unable to vocalize the words. Instead, she shifted so she was kneeling on the bed and leaned forward to capture Starfire's lips. The redhead's lips were sticky and cold from the ice cream, but even more delicious than usual because of it. Slowly, Raven kissed down to Starfire's chin, then up her jaw, licking at the bit of ice cream the redhead had missed when she wiped her face. Lips touched a dark neck, kissing and nipping softly, making the taller girl sigh and run her fingers through short violet hair with a smile.

When Raven looked up, Starfire captured her lips and leaned forward against her, pushing the shorter girl backwards slowly. Eventually, Raven was leaning back with her hands bracing her as her legs were trapped beneath her butt. This, she didn't realize, was what Starfire had wanted and the redhead took the opportunity to trail her tongue down Raven's throat, all the way to the start of the neck of the leotard. Letting her tongue dance in the hollow of Raven's neck, Starfire ran one hand down the empath's side, her other hand held Raven from going back anymore. The roaming hand slipped over Raven's hip and down on her thigh. Green eyes met violet ones as Starfire's hand slowly crept to the snaps of Raven's leotard, pausing several inches from them.

"May I...?"

While Starfire's actions were bold, her voice held the note of politeness and uncertainty of any girl her age. Raven knew she should stop this, but she made the mistake of looking down, seeing the dark hand once again upon her thigh. Now she wanted to see it move against her, so with a small nod, Raven gave her consent. The redhead's fingers undid the snaps, they both inhaled as Starfire's fingers brushed against skin never touched by another. Hesitant fingers brushed against soft lips, moist from sweat and slowly from arousal. Her skin now on fire from the heat and what was happening, Raven pulled off her leotard, feeling shy once she did it. However, Starfire's eyes took in her body with a look of gentle lust and approval, mouth finding heated skin and cooling it with tongue and lips.

Then Starfire made her final move, sliding a finger inside of Raven. Eyes wide, the empath looked down at the hand pressed against her nether lips as the finger slid out and back in. She spared a glance up at green eyes that smiled at her reassuringly before her eyes became glued to the dark hand between her thighs. Raven moaned as Starfire moved against her, but it wasn't the motions that were making her moan, not entirely. It was the way the redhead's hand looked as it thrust in and out of her. As well, the feel of Starfire's strong hand against her back made Raven buck and breath heavily as she squirmed, rocking against the intruding finger.

Another finger joined the first, Starfire tightening her grip on Raven's back as the teen inhaled sharply and held onto the taller teen for support. By accident, Starfire twisted her fingers inside Raven as she thrust. Gasping loudly, Raven saw stars and shuddered hard when the redhead twisted her fingers again to correct them. Coming with little more assistance than strong fingers digging into her back and twisting fingers in-between her thighs, Raven collapsed into Starfire's arms, trying to quickly regain control of her mind as to prevent anything bad from happening. Twirling her fingers inside Raven before extracting her hand, Starfire was surprised when Raven grabbed her hand back and brought it to pale lips.

"Raven...?"

Starfire forgot what she was going to say as Raven ran her tongue over one wet finger, then the next. When both digits were clean, Raven closed her mouth over the fingers, letting her mouth slide down as far as she could over them. The redhead could only stare as the empath bobbed her head up and down on the fingers for a moment before releasing them from her mouth. Somewhat blushing now as she realized what she had been doing, Raven lightly kissed Starfire's fingers, starting on one hand and switching to the other one, having found her own center of balance on her knees again. The kisses were chaste but still oddly sweet, making Starfire smile when Raven released her hands with a final kissed digit.

"You are still hot," Starfire said after a moment, allowing Raven to have time to wrangle in her thoughts.

"I think I know a way to cool off though," Raven said, standing - her knees slightly shaky.

"Oh?"

Holding out her hand, Raven smiled. "Care to join me for a shower?"

Smiling too, Starfire accepted the hand.
