The Goddess of Hells Fire glanced to the side at the Knight beside her, a small blush tinted her face and she looked back at her drink, this was weird. The Angel didn’t normally ask Nikki to take her out when she was depressed it was usually Deis or Kaera. She looked back at the woman, her silver and gold helm gleamed in the star light, it covered half of her face keeping the girls eyes hidden. Dawns golden hair was tied back and her face was lowered. A sob escaped the girl, the goddess reached over and brushed a few tears away.
“Come on Dawn.. ”
Nikki pleaded softly as she wrapped an arm around the knight’s shoulders. The goddess got up, tugging the young guardian with her, Nikki smiled at her. It had been nearly three months since that idiot and she didn’t want her best friend to continue being so depressed. It tore her apart, she loved dawn.
“Will you dance with me?”
The Flame girl asked with a bit of shyness as she lifted off Dawns helm. Her breath caught in her throat as she gazed into the eyes that held the colors of the sunset, a deep slightly jagged scar caught her eye. It stretched down dawns right eye then across her nose and another one went from her left temple to under her left eye cutting across the end of the first one.
It just didn’t seem fair for a person so perfect to ever have had such a nasty wound, but then again… Dawn was a Knight Angel.
Dawn stared at the goddess. When she was told the wound would scar it was the first time she was glad her helm blocked the top half of her face. Since the scars had scared everyone that saw her when her helmet was off, including her former partner. He’d nearly broke down her door to get away while yelling something about her belonging with the monsters they fought. Nikki traced her scars lightly, why didn’t they scare her..? Then a smile broke out on the flame girls face.
“Your eyes are beautiful, did you know Dawn? They look like a sunset.”
Dawn blushed darkly, no one had actually ever looked at her eyes before they had always gawked at her scars. An old song came on the kitchen radio that made goddess smile again.
She knew this song. Dawn listened for a few minutes and smiled softly. They had danced to this once. Nikki stepped back and held out a hand, a blush stained her cheeks and the corners of her mouth pulled up into a goofy grin.
“Will you dance with me Dawn?”
She nodded and stepped closer, her arms hesitantly wrapped around the Hellfire Goddess’ neck. Nikki hooked her fingers in the belt loops on dawns pants and pulled her closer. The knight blushed and rested her forehead against Nikki’s collar bone as they started to sway and move to
the soft tune. When the music picked up, with a grin Nikki wrapped her arms around the blondes waist and spun them. Dawn glanced up quickly, sunset eyes locking with dark red ones. The flames within those eyes danced wildly. Nikki rested her forehead against her partners and shut her eyes, a smile spread across her face.
“Would it.. Be out of line if I asked if I could kiss you Dawn?”
The Knight blushed, and looked down at her feet. The goddess titled her chin up so she looked at her then leaned in gave her a soft kiss. The next thing they knew Dawn had her arms around Nikki’s neck again and the goddess was lifting her up, they had tumbled back into the grass. They were locked in a deep kiss neither wanted to end, but air was necessary.
Damn Air
They broke apart both trying to catch their breath, dawn rested her cheek against Nikki’s and laughed. Nikki twisted a bit and caught the girls lips in another kiss. Her flames sparked and engulfed them, Dawn broke the kiss and stared at Nikki.
“Well I am a fire elemental.. Passion is our thing.. Well when we’re not pissed that is.”
The Blonde smiled and twirled a piece of Nikki’s blue/purple hair around her finger and giggled as she cuddled against her, resting her head on Nikki’s chest. The goddess was really warm, the knight started to drift off to the sound of the flame goddess’ heartbeat. A small smile made its way across dawns face, she liked this sound it was nice.
“G’night Luv”
Nikki grinned and just watched the sky.
‘I guess it wasn’t so bad that she asked me to go with her!’
