Thomas Francis wasn’t a pretty or even handsome man, not compared to the boy standing next to him… or at least he wasn’t anymore. At one point in time he’d been a fine business man, well educated, happily married to Elizabeth Frank with a daughter Joanna. But his life had fallen apart before the boy had come to him with the unique offer.

Three years ago Joanna was taken away by a car accident, his wife had been walking her to school when a car ran a red light and killed the little girl. It had been a get away car by some local villains and the Titans had done nothing to prevent it, they had been too busy looking for Raven. That little girl had run away from them for reasons unknown and Jump City had gone to hell because Robin was running the Titians ragged trying to find her.

No, Joanna was taken away instantly but Elizabeth had survived, recovered and ultimately committed suicide. Now, after three years he was going to be given the opportunity to avenge them by helping this boy. And he would take his chances as well, he’d seen what the boy could do to flesh and bone and it was something to behold. He would get Thomas’ revenge and he’d have his Elizabeth back, he would hear her whisper Tommy in his ear again.

He would make sure that the boy succeeded, no matter what. He remembered a fortune cookie that he got at Panda Express years ago when his daughter was four. When he was actually beginning to struggle with raising her like all parents, a baby had been easy to deal with but a toddler was more rambunctious and energetic with likes and dislikes.

“Your path maybe difficult, but will be rewarded.”

At first he’d thought that it was a load of bologna and that it had just been coincidence that had landed him with that particular cookie.

His romantic involvement with her was completely and utterly over, he’d made that clear the night that he’d shunned her for something that she couldn’t help for being a half-demon just like he was being a human. He’d made it clear that night and she made it obviously clear now. At first she’d just told him to back off but now… now she wouldn’t really look at him. Although he was glad that she was back he wanted things to return to what they had been: he wanted to be with her again.

Even after she’d rather forcefully reminded him that he couldn’t handle all of her in the past, why should now be any different? That didn’t change the fact that he wanted her like a crack addict wanted the drug no matter what, he was craving it and needed it as bad as junkies in rehabilitation needed their fix.

And like all people with true issues he was denying that he was the problem. No his problem had many physical manifestations but only one name: Jayrryan.

He took out all his frustration on the demon, whom he wasn’t sure if it was male or female to be honest, regardless of whether it had taken the shape of a man, woman, or animal. It was unnatural for Raven to be with something so… inhuman. He’d expressed this concern to both Bumblebee and Cyborg but they’d just laughed at him and reminded him that Raven was inhuman as well.

After trying to explain his position to Speedy, from who he got the same response he was in less then an accepting mood. He didn’t like the fact that the demon had taken his team as well as the Justice League and just about every other team of superheros by storm and they all trusted it regardless of what it was.

He hated it.

And that’s when he spotted Jayrryan for the first time in the better half of a week, it came and went as it wanted and pleased sometimes taking Raven with it and sometimes leaving her rather reluctantly behind. It was in a body that it frequently inhabited chatting casually with Terra outside her and Beast Boy’s room.

The two had fallen into a relationship and became fast friends, he suspected that Terra trusted the demon more then she trusted even Beast Boy. And that was saying something.

He let his gaze wander up the rather feminine body that it was inhabiting currently and cursed himself for the instant desire he felt for the demon. The form stood a head beneath him and was lithe and graceful, the body of an Olympic swimmer with the strength to rip buildings in half. Pure ebony hair fell to her waist in long, lazy curls and she ran nicely tanned fingers through them. Velvety blue eyes flashed with amusement at the story that Terra was telling, apparently it had begun downstairs and had followed the two upstairs and she hadn’t quite finished.

And he watched.

Her coloring wasn’t outside the norm, no it was rather normal human colors but the inhuman traits shone through as well. In the light from the window if it hit her hair just right he could see the deep blue matching her eyes within it. He could see fangs flashing as she spoke long and dangerous, not like Beast Boy’s, hers were developed to kill and as a tool to take kicking and screaming flesh.

She was wearing all black, it wasn’t a scene or just a demon thing it was actually to hide the slight pale blue tinge to her skin and make it look just pale. He’d seen it before, her skin was cast when she used her abilities like a captive star or moon was shining distantly through it. She wore oversized cargo pants held up by a black and silver studded belt they came low and showed the fine muscles in her stomach. The shirt she was wearing was low cut and tight so it showed off her modest breasts. They weren’t too big or too small but promised to fill his hands if he decided he wanted to cup them.

Down slightly muscled arms black fingerless gloves incased her hands, hiding more features such as the black star in the center of her palm, present regardless of which form she wore animal or not. Down her side she revealed the one thing that was completely inhuman and yet completely human looking, so much so that she didn’t have to hide it. It looked like an ordinary tattoo of an enormous blue petal rose with black stem and thorns done so that it looked like the thorns were piercing her skin and blood was welling out. What made it so abnormal was the fact that true demons healed in a blink of the eye most of the time and that the rose actually moved from time to time. It swayed and rocked, the thorns moving the more supposed fake blood drops coming form it.

In actuality the thorns had pierced her skin and it was reminder of a culture that he didn’t bother trying to understand even for Raven’s sake. It was a symbol of her suffering for her people, like demons suffered. She turned towards him and her entire eye flashed black which made all erotic thoughts vanish, she was an it again. A demon that he didn’t trust.

Before he could stop himself he said what had been bothering him about it’s relationship with Terra. “How can you trust something that never shows you it’s true face!” he hadn’t meant to yell but he had meant to use a gender neutral pronoun and not a feminine one and defiantly not masculine. Even when it was in a male form it was feminine.

“Jeez, Robin. I know you don’t like Jayr,” Robin growled she was using a nickname for it. “because she’s with Raven but what’s she done to you personally that wasn’t love someone you rejected and keep them from killing themselves.” Those words hurt but before he could roar at Terra and release all of his pinned up frustration on the earth mover it spoke.

“I would prefer if you would use the female pronoun when addressing me, Robin. And you have seen my trust face more or less in the past. It is the default that I must return to before I change shape and after and if I wish to change from one shape to another. The shape I return to when I sleep.” She gestured towards her body. “That or you can just use my name separate from that of my brothers. I haven’t done anything to you, Robin.” Jayrryan said slowly, her voice the husky and feminine in ways that he couldn’t put to words but held the icy undertone of someone who had killed and wasn’t affected by killing and would kill again and laugh about it. The icy undertones of someone who was raised in violence and had lived in violence, it was a physical whisper over his skin and made him shiver.

“You use false forms.” He tried to protest, trying to ignore the otherworldly energy beating at his skin and the human panicking side of his brain telling him to run before she killed him. Killed him and laughed about it and ate some of his insides while he watched before ripping the rest of it into pieces so small that they’d need to scrape what was left of him up.

“You and I both know that is not true. Every form that I take is mine and mine alone, no human, demon, alien, or otherwise will be born with the forms that I take. No animal or creature anywhere. They were unique to me as my mind is, not even my brother Ryanjayr has the same forms as I do.” She sighed and crossed her arms, her skin brightening just a tad. “However, if you are uncomfortable with me here now I will remove myself.”

She disappeared in a small puff of black smoke, gone from sight in less then a heart beat. He started to apologize to Terra who just shook her head and entered her and Beast Boy’s room slamming the door behind her. “Fucking demon.”

“I don’t know why he only hates you.” Raven said opening her door, knowing the Jayr was inside. She’d felt Jayr scrunch the fabric of space and reappear still in the tower, not too much guess where she was.

He is jealous that I have you and he does not. That is all.” She felt the brush of the elder demon’s mind in her own and shuddered, Jayr was reclining on her bed lazily, the husky tones in her voice were neutral and calm not like how they could get radiating a violence in just a few simple words.

“Jealous of you?” Raven said mockingly at first and felt her mate’s amusement in her head. The rich bubbling sensation of laughter in her mind was akin to the slight rumbling in Jayr’s chest. “Well, I can see why.” She shucked her shoes at the end of the bed and crawled onto it, sitting next to Jayr. “There is a lot to be jealous of.”

“Stroking me ego… what have you got in mind Raven?” the voice was still amused but had a stronger sense of pride within it. A slight smile curved her lips revealing the almost unnatural shade of white and the fangs.

I would be stroking more than your ego if you would allow me. Who else has the ability to switch between genders at will, it gives us a certain… creativeness in bed.” The demon speak made something deep within Jayr click and drew a small growl from her throat, Raven was teasing her. She knew full well that one other had the ability to change genders at will, her brother Ryanjayr. They were aesthetically named twins, the original name had been Jayrryan because it was Jayr who was born first and Ryan who was born second. Being twins they shared in most of the same power having shared a womb but the basis of their powers, their key power was radically different and shared by no demon anywhere not even with each other.

“Ah, but I’d do anything for you, my lady.” The extra emphasis on the words my lady made her shiver and take a deep breath. One of Jayr’s hands moved to the side of Raven’s face and caressed her cheek, it was a normal human gesture of affection but it was a demon gesture of someone who was dominant touching someone who was submissive. It riled both sides of Raven’s nature. “No one can please you better, I have and will continue to make sure of that.” There was a slight flare in Jayr’s power as anger lanced through her focused at Robin.

“Do not fret, Jayrryan. I will go to no other. That I can assure you.” Raven leaned down them and both out of her own need and concern for her friend kissed her. Their lips slanted together and for once she felt herself actually keeping control of a kiss on that she initiated or one that Jayr had started. It was… odd but not unwelcomed.

Jayr let Raven set the pace of the kiss, let Raven deepen the kiss and held her in the deep, slow, dark, seductive rhythm that their bodies unconsciously played. Dazed, Raven finally pulled back. “I wasn’t aware that you could be that gentle… Jayr. Or relinquish control so easily.” Normally she gave Raven one hell of a fight for it which normally ended in blood and bruises, for that reason all of her purple sheets and quickly become black.

“Nothing happens in a way that I don’t like between us, that’s why I never loose a bet I do exactly what I intended from the beginning. As for gentle… that I can show you. Would you rather I love you like you are half-human next time or half-demon.” Raven’s eyes dilated, yes there was a distinctive difference between the two. She’d experienced both and they were both more then enough activity and pleasure to stop a human’s heart and break their mind under the incredible force of ecstasy.
The roughness was exactly what she craved and included all the biting, drinking, nipping and general violence that her demon side craved. It was a dark and powerful orgasm that wracked her without stopping from moments after it started till it ended which could be five to seven hours later and then there was gentleness.

The gentleness was only slightly rough sex by human standards and had more nips and playful licks and suckles that were common between normal people but rare among them. The gentleness was something that she dreaded with good reason, sure it was gentle but it was just as long and taxing as the rougher orgasms. It was a slow elegant built to an inevitable peak but Jayr would withhold her pleasure for hours, driving her mindless turning begging into incoherent begging into whimpers of desperation into small noises that could be taken for pain or pleasure. She’d hold Raven in that state for hours until finally the roughness came and she returned the ability to climax to her and she’d gratefully fall into nothing.

A chuckle rumbled in Jayr’s chest, pulling Raven from her memories and the fantasies that would soon be memories as she felt the thoughts being plucked gently from her mind. Oh that was both good and bad. Back in her head, figuratively, she noticed that Jayr was now sitting up and she was cuddled in her lap, head pressed against the demon’s breast. “If you cannot make up your mind I will make it up for you.”

“Give me five minutes to think on it.” She said suddenly feeling lazy and lethargic. It was a sign that she needed to feed her demonic desires and luckily the person to do it was right at hand. Right after a cat nap.

When Raven awoke almost four hours later she didn’t find Jayrryan anywhere and a quick comprehensive physic scan told her that Jayrryan wasn’t anywhere inside the tower and seemed to be outside in the city, to be precise a local park. And she wasn’t alone. Raven had the feeling that hell had followed Jayrryan here and if the situation wasn’t handled carefully and quietly it would spell the end of Jump City and the rest of this plane of existence.
