He never guessed what would happen if he let Raven go, he would have never guessed what she’d gone through. After the madness on her sixteenth birthday he’d sort of forgotten that she was a half-demon. It was honestly easy to forget and he couldn’t have ever guessed that the fact that her father was Trigon, an inter-dimensional demon and a powerful one at that, would ever arise again later in life. That is until she turned eighteen and her already slightly abnormal libido went off the charts branching off into pain and bondage something that straight-laced Robin would never venture into.

The changed in her libido were also reflected in her mood, the mood swings were normal at first until he realized just what the repercussions of denying the demon side of her would entitle and encompass. The changes started subtly at first and then got worse and worse until she almost killed Dr. Light because she liked the way he bled. It was a perfectly acceptable demon answer but he’d forgotten that she wasn’t human again. He’d forgotten until he messed up and called her a monster, refused her in his bed when things got bad and the next day she was gone.

He didn’t know what happened to her while she was gone, for all he knew she was dead or hidden back in the dimensional realm of her home world. He couldn’t have known that she went seeking the other demons for solace and found a demon just for her. A demon with abilities that were similar to hers, a demon more powerful than Trigon teaching her to control the less then acceptable animal urges that she had. He certainly didn’t know what all her special training covered but the letter that he received, that the Titians received was hiding the depth of what this demon was teaching her.

Raven had disappeared to one of the lesser known realms for safety and human contact, there she met Jayrryan the female twin of Ryanjayr whom she’d heard of in the past. The demon was abnormally friendly, be considering that her twin brother was known to be a prick it was only natural that she would have the friendly disposition. It was a welcome change and the demon welcomed her into her realm with opened arms, happy to have another demon with powers similar to hers around claiming that all inter-dimensional demons needed to stick together.

Even here the urges went out of control, all the senses that Raven possessed went into overdrive around Jayrryan and even some she didn’t even know that she had. By a complete accident seeking a release of any kind she accidently killed a man with her… lust suddenly turned even more violent taking blood from the man as he screamed and fought her. At first she was broken until an ever sensitive Jayrryan caught onto her plight and taught her to control those impulsive thoughts without shutting the demon out completely.

It wasn’t in her nature for Jayrryan to reveal all the truths about herself but she had taken Raven in because of who her father was, because she possessed a strength that drew her demon out and to the surface. She would never tell Raven that she watched as the distraught teenager killed that man. She would never tell the near sexual high that she got from it, the views of the girl taking blood and the stabs of jealousy that it wasn’t her experiencing the ecstasy that the human took for granted. She would never tell because she saw how broken she was and listened to the confession.

She was amazed at how fast the affection grew for Raven, and also how little educated that the girl was on the true culture of demons. How little she knew about the delicacies of the demon body and mind and how much they strived to remain even a little civilized. Jayrryan displayed another ability that she would eventually master, the ability to change shape into anything that she pleased and began on with the lessons teaching her how to not so much control the demon’s instincts and reactions as channel them into something effective and useful.

Raven wasn’t expecting the first true test of her control. It had been so odd and almost instantaneous, one moment Raven had been meditating to calm the human side of her mind and the next she’d been pinned to the ground by a very demonic acting and looking Jayrryan. She hadn’t expected it to be so hard to focus during sex, she hadn’t expected to so suddenly loose control after two years of Jayrryan’s brutal but rewarding instruction and she hadn’t expected for her hard won control to be so easily shredded.

He hadn’t expected her to change so much, he didn’t know now painful it was for Raven to have been rejected by him until Jayrryan had explained after she’d been made an honorary Titan. He hadn’t expected for Jayrryan to be her lover and a decent person.
