After the long walk home Ari finally makes it back to the apartment. She noticed Anna sitting at the kitchen counter apparently asleep.
She walks over to Anna and touches her shoulder, Anna jumps awake and her eyes widen. She hugs Ari
“Your ok! I was worried about you!” exclaims Anna
Ari blinks and lightly pats Anna’s head “I’m sorry for worrying you”
Anna shakes her head “No I’m sorry Ari, for what happened …when you left I kicked everyone out…even Kae.”
Ari “ Really?”
Anna nods and holds Ari tighter, while Ari gently stokes her hair
“So is Kae angry with you?” Ari asks
Anna replies “I don’t know, she looked more hurt…”
Ari pulls Anna back to look at her “You should call her over and have a talk with her.”
Anna stares confused at Ari “You forgive her already?”
Ari smiles and nods “Everyone deserves a second chance, besides you love her right?”
Anna nods softly and looks down, Ari pats her shoulder “Then that is reason enough!”
Ari ruffles Annas hair “Call her, I’m gonna get some sleep.”
Anna smiles at the retreating Ari “Goodnight Ari”
Ari turns her head and smiles “Gnight Anna, and thanks for worrying about me.”
She then turns in to her room, exhausted from the day, and ready for some much needed rest.
The next morning she opens her eyes with a smile, thinking on the events that had happened in her dream the night before.
--previous night—
“So are you like an angel? Demon? Ghost? What?” Ari starts off asking the woman.
The woman rubs the back of her head “A spirit maybe? Or rather someone from another world? I don’t really know how to explain.”
Ari sighs in frustration “When am I going to get some real answers?”
The woman replies calmly “When you figure them out.”
Ari opens her mouth to reply but is cut off by the woman holding her hand up
“You will, don’t worry—but to give you a hint…think about past life. Go to a psychic called Aubin, she will tell you what you want to know.”
Ari leans forward and touches her hand “Why can’t you tell me?”
The woman looks apologetic and turns her hand to squeeze Ari’s
“I would love too, but I am not allowed to…I’m sorry.”
Ari looks at the glint of sadness flash across the woman’s eyes. She squeezes her hand reassuringly and gives her a smile. “Thank you, I will find this psychic and get some answers…”
The woman shows a small smile, but her eyes still showing a little sadness in them.
She reaches up and brushes a few strands of hair away from Ari’s face “You’re very beautiful Ari”
Ari blushes at her words, but also gets a familiar feeling, it spreading through her body…but she can’t quite understand it.
And the familiar fading feeling washes over her and she awakes in her bed.
