Amber kisses her gently before her lover whispers her goodnight as she lies down on he bed. She smiles at Erika.
"You're so cute when you sleep," she whispers as she gets up off the bed. She strokes her cheek softly.
Erika turns slightly; her long brown hair gently spreads across her cheek. Amber can't help but giggle softly. She moves her and moves the strands of hair out of her face.
Seven months and still going strong.
She looks at her for a few precious moments before heading in to the kitchen. She searches for pen and paper by digging through cabinets and drawers.
"Here we go," she says to herself as she finds a sticky note and a black pen.
She sits down at the table and jots down some things, smiling as she writes. Glancing up at the clock on the wall, she notices it's almost midnight. She finishes the note then quietly leaves Erika's house.
Good night, baby.

"I'm breaking up with you."
"Amber?" her voice pleads.
"Don't beg for me, ho. I realized you're just a waste of time. What was I thinking? It's over," she simply states.
"You're talking shit, Amber. Don't pull such a sick joke on me," Erika chokes.
"You think I'm playing? I'm damn serious."
Tears fill her eyes and flow over her cheeks as her memory repeats her words over and over again in her head.
You're just a waste of time.
"Don't do this Amber. Please," she closes her eyes, more tears flowing.
Amber walks over and slaps her in the face, a gasp escaping form Erika's lips.
"Shush girl," and she walks away leaving Erika to cry in the dark alone.

She sits up in her bed, breathing heavily. Tears begin to fill in her eyes and she quickly wipes her eyes, choking.
"It was just a nightmare. Fuck," she hiccups sighing.
It felt so real.
She heads to the kitchen to grab her call, wanting to text Amber. She notices he note written in Amber's handwriting on the table. She lifts it up and reads it as she suddenly chokes up again.
Heyhey beautiful. I'm sorry I didn't stay long after you fell asleep; you're just so cute when you are asleep and totally oblivious to the world. Any who: if you need me, I'm right here. You've got the digits. I love you.
Erika smiles as she flips open her phone.
"Message as been sent." Oh Amber...

An hour later the two are sitting on Erika's bed once again. She explains what happened, while trying to keep it all together. She shakes in embarrassment and from non-existent events.
"-It just scared me," she ends softly.
"Erika, it's not going to happen. It won't baby," Amber replies as she brings a hand to her cheek.
"I just... I love you. If I lost you, everything would shatter. You just mean a whole damn lot to me," she sighs.
Amber looks at her and slowly pulls her in, making Erika whimper as their lips touch. She intertwines their fingers and squeezes Erika's hand.
"Amber..."
"I love you, too," she whispers as she holds her close.
Amber locks her arms around Erika and lays her chin on her right shoulder, whispering sweet things into her ear.
They sound like the sweetest lyrics of the best song.
"Baby, just hold me close.
