Chapter 1

Title: Novashadow; Chapter 8

I went to school the next day in a very good mood. The report was due Friday, but you could turn it in whenever. It was Wednesday. (5 more days, counting today, then I get to see Sasami again!!! Whoo!) Okay, so this is what my report said:

“Any, Every, and Nothing”

“…And paper cuts from letters I rewrite explaining how to fall in love.”
~Automatic Loveletter; Parker.

I rewrote, rewrit, and had rewritten this report over, and over again. I even did give myself some paper cuts. Falling in love is as easy as it is hard. I thought about defining it, but that only made it harder! It can be any and everything to some people, but to others, it can mean nothing.
This is the subject song-writters sing about, and authors base their best works on. Everyone feels it- it may not be as in a lover context, but people still feel it none the less. The list I came up with is only a fraction of ways to fall in love and what it is. Different people have different ideas about what it is, which is why it is different for so many people. And the person who helped me with this, I think I’m going to come to love them very much.

Love is so very many different things, but at the same time, it’s nothing.

I got an B for that crap. It was, but that was only because by the time I got home and actually came up with that, it was after 12:00. I still planed to sing this song in front of the class and give them lyrics with picked apart definitions. The only thing that the teacher didn’t tell us- not that it would bother me- was that every time someone would sing, she would invite a different class over. “Alright, so, who’s going first?” The teacher was looking at me and Tereya. “huh?” I looked over at her. “We’ll talk it over between ourselves. It shouldn’t take that long.” The teacher nodded and walked away. “Wait- your done?”
“Duh. I already gave her my report, and I have enough copies of the more defined lyrics for both classes. You should go first, I don’t wanna show you up.” I glared at her, but got up none the less. “Urusai, your going first?” I nodded. The teacher passed out the lyrics. I was nervous, only because I didn’t know what Tereya was doing. “Alright, I invited Mrs.Kagaya’s class up here, which means you need to be polite because their a year younger than you all.” I sat on a desk while I waited for the class to come up. Once the class was in the room and settled down, the teacher told me that I still had to wait because one of her students was in the bathroom. I nodded, not leaving my post. I eyed the clock, waiting for this student to get here so I could start. The girl burst into the classroom. “I’m really sorry! I had a hard time finding the room! I- Urusai!” My face lit up. “Sa-sami!” I ran over and hugged her cuteness. She giggled. “Wow, now I feel really bad, making you wait.” I shook my head. “It’s fine. Sit-sit.” She nodded and took a seat in the front. I couldn’t help but notice that Tereya glared at her for some reason. I swear that girl perplexes me…
Either way, “Can I start now?” My teacher nodded. I was glad Sasami was in the front. It just made it all the more easier for me to put my heart into it.

When I got to the line that Sasami helped me with, she smiled. When I was done, they all clapped like they should of, then I went over to Sasami. She shot up out of her chair. Her tail was going back and fourth like crazy. >///< Oh, my go… I think I’m gonna rape her! “Urusai, that was great! I didn’t know you could sing!” I smiled, a bit embarrassed. “Thanks. Now lets listen to “queen Tereya’s” singing.” She giggled. Tereya was conversing with the teacher, then handed her a CD.
Instrumental? Great… She already had shown me up… AND in front of Sasami.
She introduced her song and herself for those who didn’t know her- which meant no one. “Hello, everyone! My name is Tereya and I’m going to be singing “Skip, Turn, Skip” by Kanon Wakashima. I hope you all enjoy it!” …Great… I hadn’t done any of that- the teacher had to remind me… Sasami made a face, then reached for my hand. She leaned in closer. “Don’t worry- I think she’s stuck up and TOO flashy and nice. Nice like teacher’s pet nice- or more, if you catch my drift.” I giggled. Thank god I wasn’t the only one who saw the bitchy side of her. Sasami’s “OMG I TOTALLY LOVE YOU!!!” points (or OMG.I.T.L.U) were at 115 now. Tereya sang her song and used her body a lot, saying she wasn’t afraid of her crowd. She didn’t even look nervous. In fact, she looked like she was enjoying it. The attention, the breif dancing, or pamamiming out some of the lyrics. One the “skip, turn, skip, turn”, she hopped on one foot, then put her hand out like all of a sudden her scenery changed and she was in a ballroom and not outside dancing in the rain in a puddle. It was amazing how I got all of that from just that brief movement. I was a bit envious…

When she was done, she sat down in her seat (surprisingly, next to me), and folded her hands and discretely glared at me (Not surprising). Sasami gripped my arm and said, decently loud, “I think you were better. She may have had more movement, but you had more heart in your song- which made it better.” I couldn’t help but smile at her. I could of sworn Tereya’s eyebrow twitched. Was Sasami… Really admitting her? Wooh-hoo! Her OMG.I.T.L.U. points went up again. I held on to Sasami’s arm and patted her head. She instantly closed her eyes and nuzzled my hand, begging me to pet her. I laughed a bit and petted her. She made these cute bunny noise, that kinda reminded me of a gunnie-pig. I had all I could do not to kiss her on her forehead. “Will you cut that out!” Sasami jumped at looked at Tereya, who to Sasami, probably looked like the devil’s incarnate because she almost let go of my arm she jumped so far. “It’s not becoming for a female student to do things like that in public. Get a hold of your self UsagiRita!” Sasami’s ear’s went down and she whimpered a bit. I scowled a bit at Tereya. “No what else isn’t becoming? You attitude! You really have to control your temper! If anything, you should be yelling at me, not her. I was petting HER, not the other way around. I think your just mad because no one wants to pet you because your so evil.” I herd some snickers. I watched he clearly mouth “Glass-Necklace”, and I shut my trap, letting go of Sasami’s arm. “Good.” She said and turned to the front. I miserably also shifted in my seat. The teachers were standing over us, glaring. “If you two are done-” Tereya calmly nodded before they could finish. “Tereya, you do have a point, but so does Urusai, BUT- this isn’t a debate class. It’s English. Get over it and shut your mouths or go the office.” Hmm, le’see… Office, or Evil bitch who can verbally rain down hell… Hmmm… Office, bitch, office, bitch…

“Now I want both classes to say what they liked, and NICELY, tell both girls what they could of done to make it better or a comment.” Tereya was complemented on her acting, and pretty singing, and song choice. Not very many people had anything bad to say about her- Except my beloved Sasami. “I think your acting, dancing, and instrumental was a cover up for the fact that you didn’t really feel for the song. You smiled and danced- which was nice, but when I closed my eyes to listen to just you, I didn’t really get anything. I think you should work on that- it’d make you a better singer.” YES! Me, I was just told I could have been a little less stiff, but my singing was really good. Someone said they didn’t even like the song, but the way I sang it made them not get bored or want to leave. I nodded. All this really meant nothing to me. Once me, nii-chan and Sori were ll together and going at it, I was AMAZING! I danced, I flirted with my audience, I was like a really singer. (And yeah, I could do a lot of that from the drum seat. ^^) That could be why I WAS so stiff though, because I usually was multi-tasking the drums and singing. Also having to interact with my audience was a bonus for me. As much as I love playing the drums, for live stuff, we really need another member… “-Sai! Urusai!” I jumped. “Huh- what?” I watched out of the corner of my eyes as Tereya rolled her eyes. “One of your kowhai’s are going to present what they’ve been doing. Can you at least pay attention?” I looked over and saw Sasami standing up, looking REALLY nervous. “Oh-! I’m really sorry!” I quickly turned my attention to Sasami. “Because of our singing in this class, we figured now would be as good a time as any to have another singer go for it.” Sasami looked like she was about to pass out. She had a violin case behind her. “U-Um… I know I’m really stiff, and I know that I stand in one place, and am kind of quiet but…” She shook her head. “This song doesn’t have any words and is from an anime called “Shugo Chara”. It’s called “Angel’s Cradle”, and everyone know’s how I’m going to do two- well, my sempai’s don’t, but- My violin song will also be from this anime. The violin song is called “Tsuki no Violinist” and I had to learn it by ear so…” She was so nervous… I gave her a reassuring smile. “Don’t be nervous- just go for it. You screw up- so what? What’s the worst that can happen? You notice your mistakes a lot more than your audience, Sasami.” She blushed and eyed the floor. “…Okay… I, guess I’ll start now…” She closed her eyes and inhaled.

It sounded like a lullaby for a baby… Accompanied by a violin, it sounded so good, I caught myself trying not to nod off. When she was done singing, she started playing the violin. I caught a peak at Tereya and instead of the devil, she was now medusa, try to kill Sasami with her eyes. I mumbled, just enough so she could hear, “No need to be jealous of your kohai, right Tereya?” She jumped a bit, snapping out of her evil-face-3 state. (One being a bitch, two being the devil, three being medusa.) I think she was mad because Sasami also could sing and play the violin. The song Sasami played wasn’t that long, but there was definitely emotion in it. Who ever wrote it was definitely feeling something at the time. Sasami played it so well, I saw a mouse start to whimper with welled up eyes. A ferret comforted her. The ferret was very cute… She was tall and had long, brown, naturally two different colored hair. I couldn’t help but notice how she nuzzled the mouse with purple hair and blue eyes. Like she kinda felt more for her than a friend… What the hell, you moron! Not everyone’s a secret lesbro like you! Get over you “Oh my god, she cute so I think I would date her” fetishes!!!

Geezus… Sasami finished with a very red dace and quickly returned to her seat before anyone could even get a clap in. “You did, great. I don’t know what your nervous about. The only reason you were stiff is because your used to playing and instrument while singing. I’m like that to. I do drums.” She looked at me with a tipped head. “You must like music, Urusai.” I nodded. “Live, breathe, and eat the stuff.” She giggled. “Sasami UsagiRita, please pay attention to someone other than Urusai. Your classmates are trying to give you their opinions.”
“Yeah, you don’t need to look like that’s your girlfriend or anything…” Tereya mumbled. Course not, slut. “No, but she’s doing a damn good job of pissing you off.” I whispered back. Before she could reply, I turned to Sasami. “Sasami, I’m going to kidnap you- would that be okay?” She nodded, pretending to listen to one of her classmates. I saw a hidden smile.

Before Sasami got to leave, I wanted to ask her about the ferret and the mouse. I grabbed her arm. “Sasami- real quick. What’s the relationship between the ferret and the mouse?” She tipped her head. “W-Why do you ask?” I let go of her arm, feeling a little dumb for not having an answer. “Just curious…” She paused for a minute, then mumbled, “I don’t think it’s my place to say…” Then left. So… Were they…? Huh… Guess my conscience is right… Not everyone is a secret yuri, but how can they be? Guys exist too, now.

It had been a long rest of the week, but now, the time has come for the weekend. A time of relaxation, poetry writing, painting the falling sakura trees- and who in the HELL was I fooling? HELL YEAH! I had my date with Sasami today! The second my alarm clock went off, I started singing, and I danced to my clock. I skipped down the stairs and got out some cereal. It was almost noon, yes, but sitting there waiting and having nothing to do but be antsy would be boring. I had three hours to get ready (And Sasami’s number!). I would call her at two to make sure everything was still a-okay. I took my time eating, but had song lyrics in my head the entire time. I’m usually like that when I’m extremely happy or when I just wake up. “Well, good afternoon, to you.” Nii-chan was in the snack cupboard. “Ohioh.” I replied. “…We need to go shopping…” He mumbled. “Am I doing that today, or…?” I shook my head. “I’ll do it tomorrow, because if you go, Sori will have any and almost everything lickable on your stomach.” He laughed and closed the cupboard. “Your just mad ‘cuse your lonely.” I raised an eyebrow. “Right. ‘Cuse lonely people have dates today.” He sat a crossed from me. “Oh really? A date? Or you being basically pulled by an invisible leash?” I chewed my cereal, pretending it was his head. “No. A real date. With the usagi girl you met.” He nodded. “She goes to our school you know. She’s a year younger than me.” He tipped back in his chair and put his hands behind his head. “And to think this is my last year in high-school. I won’t get to go down the hall and punch you every time I see you, now!” He made it sound like he was about to cry. Ha-ha. He was so funny. “Yeah, and I wont get to make you flinch in the hallway by treating your- how do I put this… BALLS!” His lip twitched. He got up and lifted up my cereal bowl and dumped it down my shirt- and I mean DOWN my shirt. He pulled it out and everything! Mind you, I had yet to change and sleep with no bra on. Yeah. Not fun. I shot up and ran to the fridge. “You forgot to throw away the milk you left on the counter for a week! I was hoping you’d drink it, but this is even better. He ran as fast has he could to his room. I ran out the back door- going for his window. I jumped and landed in the window sill. He was backing away from the door like he expect me to break it down. That’s right, sucker, just a little more over here… He stopped and sniffed a little, then a lot, the slowly turned around. I gave a battle cry and jumped.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Um, Sasami? Yeah, I might be a little late, today…” I sniffed my arm. “Ew! Make that a lot late.”
“Huh? What happened?” Her voice was even higher- if possible- over the phone. “Well… Me and my brother kind of got into a spoiled milk fight, along with some rotten potatoes…” I looked over at my wall and saw the same glob of smelly mush barley moving anywhere. Gravity’s such a big help, isn’t it? I sniffed it. “ugh…”
“Oh… If you want, I can come over and help- if you need it, I mean.” I thought about for no more than a second before nii-chan came in, covered in, what used to be, food. “Uru, you do remember what today is right?” I looked at him funny. “Should I?” He raised an eyebrow. “One word: gig.” My mouth almost hit the floor. “No way! That wasn’t today was it?” I jumped over my bed to the calendar. Yup. There it was, circled in red marker, R.T.,which stood for “Rock Talent-Show.” I almost crapped my pants. “Um, Sasami…”
“Do you have something else to do today? If you do that’s fine. We can go some other time, honest.” I felt really bad because she sounded kind of sad. I was also looking forward to it… “I’m sorry… There was this talent show thing, and me, my brother, and his, uh,” I looked at nii-chan and he nodded. “Boyfriend were going to be in it, and I thought that was next week… Sorry…” Silence on the other end for a bit. “Can I go?” Huh? “Come again?” She giggled. “Can-I-go?” My face probably lit up, because nii-chan snickered and left the room, taking his share of the stink with him. “S-sure!” She giggled again. “So, who would I be cheering for?” I wanted to sit on my bed, then I remembered the spoiled milk and rotten potatoes. “Dark Wonderland.”
“…What?” She probably thought the name was crap. “Shu-”
“I heard you, I heard you. I just didn’t think it would be so unique. Most wanna be bands have names like “Sicko”, or “Cut”, or something like that.” I raised an eyebrow, knowing she couldn’t see it, made it show in my voice. “Oh really? And where have you heard that?”
“A list of idea’s for a band name, courtesy of my cousin.” Ah. “So, who came up with it?” I started walking to the bathroom. “Me and, my brother’s boyfriend, Sori, er, Sora. Sorry, he cross-dresses. My brother said it had to at least be a little emo because we were a rock band.” I heard her “ah,” then she asked if she could come over. “Sure, but don’t get here to soon. My brother and I need to take showers…” She giggled. “Okay. I’ll come over in, say 4:00-ish?” I started stripping, putting her on speaker-phone. “Sure. Sounds good. See you in, about two hours. “I heard her enthusiastic, “Uh-huh!” Then the click of the other phone line.
Sweet. Sasami was going to see me perform- and not like the crap I gave our classes either.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sasami came over at four on the dot. I was blow-drying my hair, while Sori was applying eyeliner, Nii-chan, whining about how he didn’t like shirts and didn’t want to put it on. The radio was playing Chevelle. “Oh, stop being a baby!” I said coming back into the room. “Woah!” I whipped around and covered Sasami’s eyes. “Innocent, here!” There was a pause, then nii-chan’s rough voice saying, “Sorry.”
“Damn right you are- ops, sorry, Sasami…” She looked at me as I uncovered her eyes. Sori rolled her eyes. “So much for innocent, and Ty-kun, put your shirt on, or else.” Sasami looked at Sori, then me, then Sori again. “That’s a DUDE?!” All three of us looked at each other, then burst out laughing. “Yes, Sasami. That is.”
“Woah…” Was all that came out of her mouth along with lots of he breath. “Sori, when your done, can you get the parts of my hair I can’t usually get? I’ll put on my “over-dress-thingy” after.” Right now, I was just in a tight blood red thing that reminded me of an emo vampire tube, with crimson fishnets and shoes that had heels, but not those,” my toes are pointed, and my foot-sole it about the size of an ant”. No. My shoes were dressy-army boot looking things, and they were awesome! Nii-chan had on his tight, black emo pants, with the colored stitching, while Sori was all done, minus the make-up. She had on really ragged, intentionally, looking goth lolita that was very fluffy. Black and white were Sori’s colors, Nii-chan’s were black and turquoise, while mine were Black and crimson. “What was your name? Sasami?” She nodded, looking a little awkward. “Can you get Sai’s dress off of her bed. Trust me, it’s hard to miss.” She nodded, turned around to go get it, then turned back around. “Um, where-”
“Cooomme on.” Nii-chan said, getting up off of the tub. He lead her out, while Sori helped me finish blow-drying my hair, then brushed it out. When that was done, Sasami had finally come back. “What were you showing her? Your hentai collection?” Sasami’s face grew bright red and Nii-chan just glared. “Keep that up and I’ll let her borrow it.”
“Bite me.” Sori stopped, then got up and licked nii-chan’s cheek then whispered something only he could hear, and me, if I listened hard enough. “I’ll do lots more in lots of different places, and I won’t bite, as long as you stop fighting with Sai.” Nii-chan wrapped his arms around Sori’s waist and nuzzled her. “Go on.”
“Oh, please don’t Sori. I can hear you!” Sori looked at me, then pulled Nii-chan out of the room. Sasasmi tipped her head. “Don’t leave this room for a while. Please?” She looked at me confused, then nodded. I gave myself a part way over on the right side of my hair, then made it pretty far back, giving me the emo look. My hair covered my entire eye. I looked at Sasami, my one blue eye showing. My eyeliner made my eye stand out even more. She giggled and sat on the toilet. I grabbed my dress and put it on. It was messy looking like Sori’s, but had a very low v-cut, that’s what my emo vampire tube was for, on a corset, and seemed to come up and out, not that much out, at the ends. Sasami looked and gasped. “Urusai, you look…” I looked at her and smirked. “Emo, right?” She nodded. “Good, cuse that’s what were going for. Emo with weird colors.” She nodded. “Sori throws it off.” I nodded. “Well, Sori’s weird herself, what can I say?” I turned up the radio. “I love Chevelle.” I started singing along with the cd. “Your stabbing me though you, your stabbing you, through him, and betting most of, this WORLD!” She smirked. “Is that what your singing?” I shook my head. “No. Where singing song I wrote called “Novashadow”.” She tipped her head. “Nova…? Shadow?” I nodded. “Nova, giga, mega. They are all around the same type of meaning, but if you were to class them together, it’d be mega, giga, then nova. They all mean a lot or really big.” She nodded. “So, “Nova-shadow”, means really big shadow?” I poited a finger at her. “Exactly.” She watched me finish getting ready then stood up. “You all done?” I turned to her and nodded. “So, I know for boys, girls usually give them kisses for good luck, but…” I wanted to die. KISS ME DAMN IT!!! “Um… A kiss would be fine.” She looked at me. “Really?” I nodded. She smiled and bounced her two steps over to my side. “Lips or cheek?” Wait- what?! Dear, god, don’t tempt me! “Huh?” It came out shaky. “S-Sasami, you and I are both girls… Wouldn’t you find that awkward?” She had her hands behind her back and was close to me. “Would YOU?” Truthfully, no. Not in the slightest bit. I would LOVE to kiss Sasami. But… Fr some reason, I was hesitant… “Or, do you have a boyfriend, or something?” My eye(s) searched Sasami’s face. “S-Sasami… Are you… Do you…?” She shook her head. “No. But for some reason, I like you. I just want to make sure it’s only as a friend.”
“And if it’s no-” I felt her soft, pink lips. They reminded me of the time I buried my face in sugar powder.
Soft and sweet…

I kissed her back, for some reason, briefly thinking of Tereya. Stupid? Why would you do that? She’s the devil’s incarnate, remember? I wrapped my arms around her small waist. I hadn’t realized how much taller I was than her. She had to stand on her tip-toes to kiss me, yet alone if she was just standing. Even then I had to bend a bit. I felt her light grip on my shirt as she pulled away. “Good luck… Urusai…” I breathed. “…Y-Yeah…” She was so cute right now. Her face was red and she was looking up at me with her big blue eyes. “Um… If you win, I’ll give you another…” I visibly gulped. “O-Okay… I’d like that.” Her face lit up. “Y-Yeah?” I nodded. “uh.” She buried her face in my chest- not boobs, chest. “I… I know this sounds silly, but I was looking at our going out as a date… That’s so silly, right?” Silly? Um, what was I doing not to long ago? Oh, right. “OMG I’M GOING ON A DATE WITH SASAMI!!! HOLY SHIT I JUST CRAPPED MY PANTS!!!” Right. I wasn’t looking at it like a date at all. Nope. Nii-chan came in and Sasami let go before he saw. “So, uh… We all ready?” Sori came in behind him. “No. I need to fix something real quick.” I didn’t want to know. “Come on Sasami.” I pulled her out of the bathroom for Sori to fix, well, whatever Nii-chan messed up. We got into Sori’s car. We would of token our bikes, but Nii-chan, yeah, him, not me or Sori, is worried abot this hair getting screwed up. Don’t ask me why. He’s bi, remember? Meaning he’s a bit gay. I turned on Sori’s car and turned on the radio and heat. Sasami sat in the back with me. “Um… Urusai… You won’t tell that I did, or said that… Right?” I looked at her and grabbed for her hand. “ ‘Course not. Why would I? Don’t you think that will also get me in trouble too?” She looked at me, then blushed and nodded. She leaned on my shoulder. “So, did you happen to get anything out of that kiss?” She blushed. “U-Uhm…” I tipped my head. “Need another one?” Her face blushed, but she nodded none the less. I felt the soft, sweet lips of a rabbit that made me melt into a puddle. She lip locked with me until I heard foot steps. It felt good to kiss her. I had never dated anyone before, so this made me feel good. Plus, I really liked her. Yeah, I may of just been her curios gunny-pig, but I didn’t mind. She could be mine to, and if she got serious about me, I don’t think I’d mind.

The drive there was nice. I didn’t even think about Tereya or her necklace that binded us together. Nope.

Only a few hundred times. That’s all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once there, Sasami had to blend into the crowd while we went behind stage. For the show, we had to do two songs. One of our own, and one that already existed. It was to test how good we could be with the crowd. If our stuff was good and if we knew what kind of audience we were playing to. There were so many different types or rock, just as there were for different types of music. Like 80’s rock was still rock, certain types of metal, like Flyleaf, was more or less rock.
For something not our own, Nii-chan and I ended up with Ten Years, or Chevelle. I know weird right? I’m a girl, yet we get stuck with two guy bands at the end. I could do both guy or girl songs though. We ended up picking Chevelle because I kept thinking of this one song because I was fuming at Tereya. I forgot what it was called, but it went, “Your right, I get it. It all makes sense you’re the perfect person so right. So wrong. Lets all live in your imaginary life.” See what I thought of Tereya? But yeah. That’s the song we’re doing. Once we were on stage, we had to move the drum set up in the front and get rid of the chair. People started to murmur, but once we were settled, they shut up. The first part was what song you picked. Second was what you wrote. I inhaled, and briefly searched the crowned for Sasami, but saw someone else.
She was blonde and was a neko… Well, Nii-chan DID put flyers up on bultin-boards around the school, but why would she come? There’s no way… The mc announced us.
“This is “Dark Wonderland”.” When he said our name, I felt like our name kinda stupid. My paranoia kicking in. I could of sworn I heard the blonde neko laugh. “Their Drummer’s name is Urusai, the base player’s name is- is it Sori or Sora?” He looked over at Sori. “It’s both, but right now it’s Sori.” I heard a few whistles. “Um, their base player is Sori, and their guitarist is Ty.” Ty waved with two fingers to the crowd, which sent waves of whispers about who he waved to and how cute he was. “Alright. There doing a song by “Chevelle”. Enjoy.” The crowed whistled and clapped. I kept my eyes on the neko girl. She wasn’t exactly looking up at us, and she had a hat on. (Could tell she was a neko by her tail.) She looked up once we started and I almost choked on my saliva. Thank god I hadn’t started singing yet. Once I did, I put so much heart into it, I could of sworn I saw it on the walls. Once we were done, we went in the back to wait. Sori sat in a chair and breathed. “Ah! I was so nervous…” Nii-chan looked around nervously. “Okay, I know I went before we left, but that entire time I was on stage I had to piss.” I laughed. “Anyone else think our name sounded like a emo five-year-old came up with it?” Sori raised her hand. I sat down next to her. “I’ll be back. Have to piss like a race horse.” Nii-chan said, leaving the room. (He left so fast, I made the last part up ‘cuse I couldn’t hear it!) Sori leaned her head on my shoulder. “His butt is so cute…” I laughed. “By the way, Sori, please don’t ever do it with him anywhere but his room. I have been forever scared.” She shot up and looked at me. “I’m sorry!” I shook my head. “Besides being blind, I think I’m okay. Just don’t do it anywhere else but his room.” Sori’s face heated as she slumped in her chair. “I’m sorry, Sai. I didn’t mean to mortify you…” I stayed silent. Nii-chan came back and sat his fat butt on Sori. “Ah! Ty! T-ai…” I covered my ears. “Ew! Stop! And I wonder why I think I’m a lesbian!” Nii-chan laughed. “Right. Think. I saw your kiss-fest with the bunny in Sori’s car.
My face was red, “W-Wha-” He nodded. “Yup. Sure did.” I quickly got over it. “So? You guys have mortified me, made me stay away from lemon-pie for forever along with whip cream, AND made me not sit on the couch until it was bleached even times over!” Nii-chan laughed at me. “And I care because? Oh- by the way. You ate off of the table.” I shot up and ran to the sink. I heard Nii-chan laugh at me and Sori scold him. “Cut it out. Don’t you think you torture ‘Sai enough?” He looked as though he was seriously conserving it, then shook his head. “Nope.” I washed lunch down the drain. “From now on, I eat in my room.” Nii-chan nodded. “Sure. Just gives us one more place to do it.” I covered my ears. “Ew. Shut up, please!” A guy walked in. “Um, you. Dog.” He pointed in our direction. Nii-chan pointed at himself, but when the guy shook his head, he pointed to me. The guy nodded. “You have someone who wants to see you. There-”
“Not right now.” I kinda didn’t feel like Seeing Sasami right now. Not while Tereya was here. “It’s a girl right? Just tell her no.” The guy looked at me, then shrugged and walked away. Nii-chan raised an eyebrow. “Don’t want to see her?” I nodded. “Nah. I get to see her after and at school.” He nodded. “Yeah, guess that’s true. Although…” I tipped my head. “Nothing, Uru. Nothing…”
We went back on stage about a half an hour later. One too many bands, but about half of them had gotten booed off stage. Guess we were more or less in the clear. When we started, I didn’t have to sing right away, so I did a brief dance with my hips that made a lot of the [male] crowd whistle. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say I also spotted Tereya taking her finger’s out of her mouth for a whistle. I smiled. I was going to sing this to her. I could relate this to her. I didn’t mean to, but if I wanted to, I could…
“…I swear I’m on the inside of the shadows of wonderland- In the darker side of something confusing.” The crowed cheered, and I could clearly see Tereya whistle. I flashed her a smile, kind of hoping she saw it. We waited until the remaining bands played, then all had to stand on stage.
There were awards for things like, “most unique”, “most like metal rock”, etc. “And the winner of winner’s is… Dark Wonderland!” Nii-chan wrapped his arms around Sori and kissed her so hard, she almost fell over. Sasami ran up on stage and kissed my cheek repeatedly. I laughed nervously and scratched the back of my head. Tereya’s eyes were wide as she took a step backwards- like someone had just snacked her. Normally, I’d loved to be the one to do it, but for some reason, she seemed sweeter today… Then, she whipped around and fled as fast as she could. Had I done that…?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before we dropped Sasami off, I wanted to ask her something. “Um, Sami-chan?” She turned around, really happy with my nickname for her. “Yeah?”
“So, um… What exactly did you want to see me about earlier?” She tipped her head. “Huh? Earlier?” I nodded. “Yeah. A guy who worked there said you wanted to see me?” She shook her head. “No, Urusai. I was in my seat the entire time- except at the end. I didn’t move honest.” She slid out of the car and waved to me. I waved, not really paying her any mind. So, if she didn’t come see me, then…

It was Tereya… Tereya wanted to see me… Why?
Heh… Bet you I’d never get an answer after Sami’s performance…

And to think… Just when we were getting along, I screw it up… Why didn’t I listen to that little voice in the back of my head?

Why didn’t I listen to “Why Sasami? Don’t you like Tereya?”

“Didn’t you come close to spewing the words “I love you”, to her once?”

[End notes: yeah, so afer re-reading this, I found the sentence "silently shitting in my seat."
...WTF!? XD it was supposed to be "sitting"]

Chapter 2

Title: A sleepless Dream; Chapter 9

[Author's notes: I offically have Tereya's theme song.

Ouuto means out]

At school, the first thing I did was find Tereya. “Um, Tereya?” She whipped around to face me. “What, you over grown mongrel?” I flinched. Her insults weren’t as they usually were. Normally, they were more wittier than that… “Um, Saturday, did you, um…” she made a face. “Did I what?” She sounded like she was going to bite me. “Um… the concert…” She walked over to me and made her self so close, her breath reminded me of spring; faintly warm with a sweet smell. “You wanna know if I went to your stupid over-rated, child-like, noise-making, tip-of-the-dunghill show? Well, no. I didn’t.” I didn’t know what to say to that… exactly. At least her insults were up again. “Mutt,” I swallowed, expecting her to run to the nearest adult and tell that I busted her necklace. “Tell me, was that bunny more than just an acquaintance? Or was she just a friend who you just so happened to get kiss from? Or is UsagiRita like that to everyone?” I jumped away from her. “Don’t you dare talk about Sasami like that!” She moved closer. “Oh? Why not? Does it bother you? Mutt, just for reference, I’m going to personally ruin your life. Love,” She kissed my lips. “Tereya.” She then whipped around and walked out of the room.

What… WAS that? She was completely contradicting herself in every way possible. She was just making fun at me, then kissed me, and said she didn’t go, then basically said that she watched Sasami kiss me.

WHAT THE HELL?!

…Why did she kiss me anyway? Maybe she was mocking Sasami, but if that were the case, wouldn’t she of kissed my cheek? This girl confused the crap out of me, along with the rest of my inner contents.
Especially my heart…
For first period, I had my head-phones on. (Thank god for my hair or they’d be seen. One time, I even hid the plastic bulky ones, not the really big one’s but- well, some of you know what I’m talking about.) I sat there mouthing words, and felt like a moron when I got caught because the teacher called on me and I was writing and mouthing lyrics. I was listening to “Letter from a thief” by Chevelle. Before that I was listening to “Black ink Revenge” by Automatic Loveletter. The teacher confiscated my ipod and said he’d give it back at the end of the day. If he saw it again, he’d call my parents: The usual confiscating rules. I sighed and handed it over. “And I wonder why your stupid…” I head the cat behind me mumble. “Shut up, Tereya.” I mumbled back. Our teacher’s ears twitched. “Both of you, lunch in the guidance counselor office.” Tereya’s jaw dropped. “Your kidding right?” He shook his head. You’ve both been doing this for a while now, so I think you both should talk about whatever it is that’s making you both fight. Surely it can be resolved.” Right. Just tell everyone I’m gonna have to marry a girl, then get married, then we can live a happy life with an evil litter.
Sure. We can resolve that.
“Um, actually, we were just getting over it, er well… You know how in Fruits Basket, Yuki and Kyo are always fighting? Well, that’s kind of their way of bonding, and that’s kind of ours. So, were good, really!” He raised an eyebrow at me. “Right. Well you both can tell the guidance counselor at lunch.” Tereya raised her hand. “What if I already have my own personal psychiatrist?” Wouldn’t surprise me. “Then maybe you should see him or her too.” He turned around and went to the front of my room. Tereya scowled at him. I turned around to face her. “So do you really have your own? A psychiatrist, I mean.” She looked at me. “It allows me to vent and to actually pay attention in class, unlike some smelly animals.” Um, right? Who was the one saying that if she closed her eyes, I smelled good? I just nodded and turned back around. “What no reply?” I guess she was one of the people where if you ignored them, they got pissed. I wonder…

EXPERIMENT TIME!
Step one: ignore Tereya.
Step two: Follow step one thoroughly.
Step three: Follow step one until something interesting happens, or until she says something so out of bounds, you have to reply; Her usual insults don’t count!

I continued to ignore her. She scoffed at me. “Fine. It’s better not to have to listen to your annoying voice any way.” She continued to work.

At lunch, we went to the guidance counselor’s office after getting what we were going to eat. Before that I saw Sasami. “Sami-chan!” I called to her. “Huh? Oh! Urusai! Um, about the concert and stuff..” Uh-oh. “Um, I’m sorry, I didn’t know you, uh…” huh? What was she talking about? “Huh? Sami, what are you talking about?” She shook her head and ran off, calling over her shoulder, “It won’t happen again, I promise! Sorry!” Then disappeared down the hallway. Huh? Why did I have the biggest feeling in my gut Tereya said something to her?

I got my lunch and walked with Tereya to the office. She sat down and crossed her legs and started humming. It sounded like that new Flyleaf song… What was it… “Okay, so it’s Tereya and Urusai, right? Okay, what’s up?” I looked at her and she was daintily munching on a piece of her lunch while still humming. “Urusai, would you like to start?” I shook my head. “…Truthfully, I don’t know what the problem is…” She looked at Tereya, who was still doing the same thing as when I looked at her. “Tereya?” She looked up at the teacher and stopped humming. “Hm?” She sighed. “So neither of you two know why you’re fighting? It’s just because?” I nodded while Tereya chewed thoughtfully on her food. “Urusai, mom want’s you over this weekend because I have to baby-sit my two cousins and she would like it if there were at least two of us. The oldest, the one you’ve met, is doing something or other with her parents, so they want me to watch them.” The teacher looked back and fourth between us. “So, you two do stuff like that on a regular basis? Yet you still fight like that?” She looked at me a bit perplexed. All I could do was shrug. “How old are they?” We were talking, but we weren’t exactly talking to each other. Wait- crap. I would have to wait before I could execute the experiment.
One of us would look up and say something while the other looked somewhere else, then the other would reply as the one who had previously talked did something else besides look at the one talking. “One of them is eight, while the other one is about eight-month’s, so you can see why mom wants both of us there.” I munched on what was supposed to be food, but with school lunches, they could feed us bleached person, and flay it up and call it fish and no one would be able to tell you any different.

“I don’t want you killing my baby cousin, so you can watch the eight year old. He’s very hyper, so you should be fine.” I looked up at her. “What’s that supposed to mean?” The guidance counselor was just watching us now. “Nothing. You just always seem to be a bit rambunctious is all. I just thought maybe you two would wear each other out.” I tried not to yell at her about being the devil’s incarnate because a teacher was there. “…Right.”
“The only time I’ll need you to watch both of them is when I’m cooking something for us to eat.” Why did I get the feeling she meant only for her and she’d give me mushed up, moldy left-over’s from twenty days ago? I nodded, not really daring to do anything else. “I’ll try to get the baby to sleep before then, so you’d only have to keep the eight-year-old quiet. His name’s Keith while the baby’s name is Tana.”
“Wait, where will your parent’s be?” She bit into something else that was supposed to be food and made a face and set it back down. “Their also going out.” I nodded. I had wanted to ask her about Sasami, but the teacher was intently listening. She wasn’t even trying to be discrete. “Um… Tereya… About Sasami… I saw her a minute ago, and I was wondering if you talked to her…” She eyed the last bit of her lunch, probably wondering what it was supposed to be. “Wait, UsagiRita Sasami?” I nodded. “And if I did?”
“Well… Could you tell me what you said?” She looked at me and made a face that basically said the lunch was food fit for a god compared to me. “Yes.” I looked at her. “Oh…” Yes, as in, I can tell you, but won’t. The teacher leaned back a little.

“It seems to me like you guys have a master-servant relationship.” We both looked at her. “Let me guess,” I said. “I’m the servant?” She nodded. “If you were a boy, I could say more about the situation, but because your not, I’m a little confused. This normally doesn’t happen between girls unless blackmail is involved somehow,” Bingo. “Or, unless there is another reason. A more personal thing.” Bingo had a twin, did you know that? It’s name is “Bingo”. Tereya just shrugged. “And? I don’t see a problem. If you do, then YOUR going to have to do something about it. Not me.” It took a lot of guts for someone to say that to a teacher. I would of used a different word besides “guts”, but Tereya was quite famine. The teacher just eyed her. “Right.” Tereya started to hum again as she got up to trash her lunch. She had barely touched it. “They basically expect us to eat garbage. That stuff is so disgusting.” The guidance counselor made a bit of a sad face. “Well, they have to feed the entire student body, Tereya. They don’t have time to sit there and make it look pretty.” Tereya turned and opened her mouth to say something. “They could at least add a bit of salt. A little’s not gonna kill anyone.” Her open mouth turned to a smirk. “Exactly. Or some actual hot sauce too. That gross stuff that you put on taco’s doesn’t do well with chicken.” I nodded. “And did you ever notice the pepper on the peas? They can do that but not salt?” She walked over to me and took my lunch and trashed it, and I let her. I usually didn’t eat it anyway. “If their so stressed for time, make the school day longer around lunch. It wouldn’t kill anybody.” I nodded. “Classes would be a bit longer, but if you think about it in the long run, wouldn’t all that extra time go to our summer vacation?” She nodded furiously. “If their gonna make us go here, they should at least make meals decent. I bet even if I was by myself in there, I’d make better food. It wouldn’t taste like cardboard.” I put my hand up. “Hey, cardboard with some salt would be okay by me.” I caught her pursing her lips and trying not to laugh. She was very cute when we got along. “Well you both are good at agreeing on complaints.” Her smile faded the instant the teacher opened her mouth. It was like a glass had just shattered and revealed the real Tereya behind it, or the fake one. I wasn’t sure.

Tereya rolled her eyes. “I went to an all girls school once and the food was better there- mind you, it had no taste, but at least you knew what it was.” She looked at the clock. “I’m going before the bell rings.” I got up to follow her, but was stopped short. “Urusai.” The teacher grabbed my arm. I watched Tereya walk out of the office. “Can I talk really quickly to you?” I nodded. It better be quick. Short and sweet, extra sweet because talking with Tereya like that put me in a good mood. “She isn’t holding anything over your head is she? If she is, you know you can tell me.” I shook my head. “Nope. Nothing. I’m all good.” She eyed me. “Are you sure?” I nodded. “Yup. Can I go to class now?” She looked at me, then asked me one more thing. “Urusai, why exactly do you stay around her if you two don’t get along?”
“I… Well…” My mind drew a blank. “…Can I… Get back to you on that one?” She looked at me thoughtfully, then nodded. I walked out and surprisingly, Tereya was waiting for me. “So, what’d the old bat want to talk to you about.” She wasn’t insulting her. She WAS old and she WAS a bat. It was just like saying “What’d the baby turkey want to talk to you about?” Well, almost. (I think I’m still hungry because I have no idea why I said “Turkey” out of all the animal’s I could of picked from.) I shrugged. “Nothing much. Just wanted to know why I was around you all the time when we fight like crazy.” She eyed me and then nodded. “Your coming over this weekend and I don’t know when they’ll be back, so you should pack a bag and just go home with me. It’s be easier that way.” She stated it so matter-o’-factly that I wanted to argue. She said I “was”, not “will you” or anything along the lines of asking. Just “Your coming and that’s that”. I looked at her. “You like to cook don’t you?”

She looked at me with a weird face like I had just asked her to sniff my dead pets butt- after I dig it up. “Where’d that come from?” I shook my head. “You usually bring your own lunches, and when I was over at your house, you helped out with dinner, plus you said you’d make it this weekend. You like to cook don’t you?” I repeated. She looked at me then nodded. “Yeah. I probably make better stuff than you do.”
“I bet you do. I can’t even make toast right while my brother is training to be a chief. Go figure.” She was quiet for a minute, then said, in a very normal voice, not her usual, “I’m the hotter version of medusa” or “The daughter of the devil” or “Bitches rule, bitch!” voice. It was almost kind. “It’s not that hard. If you some how manage to get the eight year-old asleep when I make dinner, maybe I’ll show you how to make something.” I almost tripped over myself. “R-Really? You mean it?” She gave me a smirk. “IF you can get Keith to sleep. It’s not as easy as it sounds.” I had to force my feet to keep moving or I would of stopped right then and there in the hallway. Dear god, if I had to run around in circles with that kid to get him to sleep, so BE IT!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think I anticipated this about as much as I did with my almost-date with Sasami. I thought about tons of things to do with the kid that would tire him out. A lot of them were outside because the sun takes up quiet a bit of your energy. I prayed every day that week for it not to rain on that day. It could flood for all I cared as long as it was dry that day. Tereya seemed like her usual bitchy self all week. Like our one little agreement was about the size of a dust speck on her life.
Saturday was it’s usual half-day, and the only day of the week that we were allowed to wear regular clothes. Courtesy of the new student council prez. He was cool like that. As long as they still fit school regulations and such, it was cool. If not, you got suspended for not being a responsible student, or something like that. Either way, Tereya looked very cute today. I didn’t have any periods with her today, so I had to wait until the end of the day to see her.
She had her hair pulled back in a pony-tail that stuck out of a baseball cap. She let a small amount of her hair on the left side not go into the pony-tail and stay out of the hat, like bangs that were a bit longer than the rest. It looked really cute. She had long jean-shorts on that looked like they should of belonged to a boy and a white t-shirt with a blue collar that made her chest look good. She also had running sneakers and ankle socks on. I had on a pair of ripped jeans and a black shirt with skulls on it. The back around the shoulder blades read “The zombies want your skull, not your brain, so stop whining about being retarded after the zombie invasion” that went down to around the top of my lower back. It also had a picture of a little ripped up emo-voodoo looking doll in the corner with stuffing coming out of it’s head, like the zombies had went after it. There was even a small trail of stuffing that lead off of the shirt. It was awesome and I wanted it the second I saw it. I also had on a black leather band that snapped onto my wrist and black and white sneakers. Tereya saw me and just looked me up and down. “What are you wearing?”
“Um, clothes?” She gawffed. “Could of fooled me.” And started walking. “You look like a murder with that duffle bag.” I shrugged. “I like the shirt.” She looked back over her shoulder to look at me. “Um, I’m not just talking about the shirt. The jeans say that you were in a fight with the person you killed and the shirt say you did it, and the duffle bag says that your going to burry her.” I walked a bit faster to walk next to her. “Maybe you’re my next victim. It’s my revenge for your cruel treatment of me.” She rolled her eyes. “Right. Because I’d let you get close enough to me to kill me. If anything, I’d kill you.” I made my shoulder bump her’s to show that I was close enough to kill her. She stomped on my foot as hard as she could and kept walking. A notice escaped my lips that may as well of been a guy’s when his jewels get hit. After a while, I limped over to her. “Do that again and I wont be able to walk. You DO want me to occupy Keith right?” She made a face like she was going to say something back, then stopped. “Just keep walking, mutt.”
“Did I ever tell you I was a pureblood, not a mutt? Could of sworn I did…”
“Well, even if you did, I don’t care. I don’t even care now, mutt.” …Right. We walked all the way to her house, although it would have been easier to go to mine and get my bike. “You do this every day?” I was a dead-beat and I hadn’t even meet the kid yet! She nodded. “Keeps my in shape and not fat and blob-like.” I nodded as I put my hands on my knee to breath. “You gonna make it? I’d hate to have to watch three kids all by my self.”
“Thanks Tereya, but I’m fine.” She didn’t even take a second look at me as she turned to walk into the house. “Good. Let’s go mutt.” The second she opened the door, she got attacked by a little cat with silver ear. He hand light-brown curly hair and green eyes that looked like the color of a glow stick. “Tery!” He yelled, hugging her waist. She smiled and crouched down to him. “Hi, Keith. How’ve you been?” He gave her a big smile with some missing teeth. “She? I wast un!” He said, pointing to his mouth. I pretty sure he said “See? I lost one” talking about his teeth. “How’d you lose this one?” He smiled at her again. “I fell off the monkey bars when I was upside down.” Her face went pale and her smile dropped. I pretty sure that’s not what she meant by “how’d you lose this one”, but hey. I stood up. “Oh, yeah?” He looked at me. “Yeah. Tery, who’s that?” She looked at me, probably wanting me to introduce myself.
“I’m Urusai. Nice to meet you. I’ll be watching you with “Tery”.” She made a face at me, saying I wasn’t allowed to call her that. He looked at me while still clinging to Tereya. “Did you ever lose a tooth falling off of the money-bars?” I shook my head. “No. But I made myself go so high up on the swing I fell out and lost one.” I pulled my mouth back a little and pointed to my tooth next to my canine- the one closer to the front of my mouth. “It grew back, as you can see.” His eyes got big. “Did it hurt? My mouth bleed, did your’s?” He let go of Tereya and was now at my waist, looking up at me. “Funny thing,” I said, scratching my face a bit. “It got pushed up into my mouth, so I had to go to the doctors.” And it hurt like hell when they yanked it, too. I screamed the whole time and punched a nurse in the nose. They had to tie me down because I was “Endangering their well-fare”. That nurse probably took pleasure in watching me get my tooth ripped out. Either way, the kid’s eyes were saucers. “Did you lose any others like that?” A lot actually… Now that I thought about it, I’m pretty reckless. I nodded and back away, making him stay. “I lost one doing this.” I did a back-flip and landed on my feet. His eyes were huge and a smile slowly inched onto his face. “My brother was teaching me how to do it on cement, like the smart gut that he is. “Oh, you won’t get hurt. You’ll be fine”, Liar!” He laughed. Tereya rolled her eyes and went inside. “Keith are you thirsty?” She called to him. Can’t help but notice how I walked all the way here with her and she didn’t offer me to even come inside yet alone a drink. “Yea!” He called back. “What would you like?” She asked, hanging out of the window. “Mmmm…” He though, then looked at me. “Whatever Uri’s having!” Uri? I would of choked on my spit if I had any left. She looked at me and gave me a sarcastic smile. “And what would you like to drink, “Uri”?” I made a face. “Water’s fine.” She gave me another sarcastic smile, then disappeared into the kitchen.
I heard a gentle voice call from inside the house. “Keith? Are you outside with Tereya?” A woman carrying a baby on her hip came to the screen door. “Oh, hello. Are you a friend of Tereya’s?” I nodded, feeling like a dumb guy in front of a hot girl.
She had long, light-brown hair that went past her butt and curled up at the bottom. Her eyes were warm and green, with a little bit of bangs to hide them. She had a simple yellow sun dress on with a straw sun hat with a yellow band around it. (Like on the little women posters, for those of you who’ve seen them.) She looked like a really cute country girl. “Are you the one she said was going to help her watch Keith and Tana?” I looked at the baby in her arms which was Tana. She was blowing nose-bubbles and was swatting at the screen. She was long for a baby (yeah, long, not tall) and was in a pink one-sy. She had a little bit of curly, light brown hair on her head. Tana’s mom looked down at Tana probably because I was staring at her blow snot bubbles. “Oh, shoot! Carmelo! Tissue!” Oh, yeah, he was European. And very hot. I watched him skirt by to grab a tissue. He had blonde, short, curly hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white dress shirt and a thin tie with a pair of dress pants. He quickly came back and handed it to her. “Sorry.” She shook her head and planted a kiss on his cheek. “It’s fine. You don’t need to apologize.”
“A-dup!” Tana said. She started whining when her mom went to clean her nose, but other than that, she was fine. Tereya said excuse me and came out with two cups of water. “Here Keith.” He took the cup from her very carefully. “Don’t spill it okay?” He nodded. “Tereya is this your friend who’s going to help you watch Keith and Tana?” She looked at Tana’s mom and nodded, sipping the water. I was assuming I’d have to get my own. Tana and Keith’s dad waved us inside, then disappeared down the hallway. She gave me a warm smile, then said, “Yes, you should come in. Then we can all introduce ourselves properly.” I let Keith walk in front of me into the house. He was sipping water and was grabbing the back of Tereya’s shirt. “Keith, walk then drink your water. Your going to spill it or bump into someone.” Tereya scolded. She sounded like his mother. She walked into the living room and set the glass down and plopped her butt down on the couch. Tana and Keith’s mom was sitting next to Carmelo with Tana on her lap. “Aunt Anna, Urusai. Urusai, this is my aunt, Anna.” You didn’t say it “Ana”. You said her name “An-na” or “An-nah”. Anna smiled at me. I couldn’t help but eye the floor. She laughed a little at me. “Do I make you nervous?” I looked up at her. Sort of. “Um, kinda… I think you’re really pretty by the way…” She game me a smile made out of pure honey and I melted. It wasn’t like a “OMG I hope she’s a loli because I like her so much”. It was more like a “OMG please adopt me because your so awesomely pretty, even though you a cat and I’m a dog!”, type thing.
“This is my uncle Carmelo. Anna?” Anna turned to Carmelo and said something to him I didn’t understand. He nodded to me. “Carmelo doesn’t speak Japanese all that well, but he’s trying. He knows French and German though.” He looked a little awkward, sitting there. “Anna knows French, so she usually tells him what we say.” Anna was holding hands with Carmelo. Tana growled. “Ra! Ra!” I smiled at her. She started shouting at me and laughing. She smacked her mom’s leg. Anna smiled at me then waved me over. “Do you have any younger siblings?” I shook my head and sat on the other side of her. “No. Just an older brother.” Tana grabbed for my face. “Ah, no! Tana!” Carmelo said something to Tana in French. (I was assuming French, anyway.) Tana giggled and said “Di-da! Yiee! Mm-ga!” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Your so cute, Tana.” Anna smiled at me and relayed the message to Carmelo. “Thank you.” He said. I smiled. “Can I hold Tana?” Anna nodded and handed me the baby. Keith came and sat in-between me and Tereya. Tereya’s mom came in with lemonade for everyone, followed by Tereya’s dad. “Thank you.” Keith took his and giggled. I raised an eyebrow at me. He leaned towards me and whispered, “It looks like pee!” If I wasn’t so thirsty, I might of not drank it. I hurried up and drank it. “Well, it taste like lemons.” He looked at his drink and giggled. Tana tried to grab for the cup and yelled “A-dee-ee!” Anna smiled at Tana. “She likes to get into everything, so please keep an eye on her.” I nodded. “Tana crawls funny!” Keith said. “She uses on leg and drags the other!” I looked at the little girl and laughed. “Really?” He nodded, sipping his yellow drink. “Tana’s funny too. If someone’s yelling or talking loud, she’ll do it too!” Tana laughed as I bounced her on my knee. “We should do THAT with Tana before we go.” Tereya’s mom said. Tereya nodded. “Yeah. That’s always fun.” Keith slouched. “Your only saying that because you get her to laugh the most, making you win.” I looked at Anna. She smiled. “A contest, or so to say. You have to pick a song and dance with Tana to it. The more she laughs, or the louder she laughs, then you win.” Tereya’s mom shuffled off, and Tereya said she was getting the laptop.
She came back with it open and was using one hand to hold it, while the other was typing. “Okay, who’s first- besides last times winner? The winner’s always last.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was last- besides Tereya. Anna had danced for Tana and then swiped her up and bounced with her to a song. Keith bounced like a bounce house with her to a punky sounding song by a girl on the couch, then lifted her up in the air and brought her back down. Carmelo didn’t participate, while Tereya’s mom and dad trio-ed it up with her. I had no clue what song I wanted to dance with Tana to, so they made an exception and let Tereya go. At first, I though she typed on “Tana”, but taking a double take, I realized it was “Kana”. After that, she typed in “Picnic”. She picked up Tana and started a weird bouncy-march. “I’ve heard this! It’s by Kana. No clue what her last name is.” I said, making Tereya look at me like I was dumb. Her look read, “Well, duh, it’s by kana. You watched me type it in”. Was basically what she was saying. On the sneezy sounding part, Tereya pretended to sneeze, which got some laugh’s from Tana. Tereya sang in an extra high-voice, “I was waiting for ju a long time. Awa-tiz-mi, awa-tiz-mi, Awa-tiz-mi, awa-tiz-mi! Deko, deko-no, uso kuro wa,” I couldn’t help but smile a little. She would be a good mom. Even in front of me she was acting silly to make Tana laugh. Tereya’s mom leaned towards me. “She’s good with kids, right?” I nodded. I felt Keith cling to my arm while watching Tereya. “Tery’s gonna win, again…” He mumbled. I patted his head. “I’ll do my best. Ganbate, right?” He looked at me then nodded. “What song are you gonna do?” I shrugged. “I was thinking DenKaren.” He looked at me and nodded like he knew who I was talking about. When Tereya was done, Tana was still giggling, and started crying when she was handed to me. “Oh, Tana!” I cried. I sat her on my lap. “A no-no-no-no-no!” I clapped my hands on each no. “A no-no-no-no-no!” She stopped and looked at me like I was a little slow. I went to a music site and typed in “DenKaren, Vampire” I clicked it and I wa greeted with a fanfare of vampire sounding music. Now your probably have never heard vampire sounding music, but if you want to hear some, this takes the cake, the table it’s on, and then the room it’s in. I danced with Tana and whenever she would try to hit my face- she did that with everyone, then just put her hand down- I pretended to bite her.

“I think Uri won.” Keith said. They had been debating for about five minutes now about who won. “Um, don’t you all have to be somewhere?” I asked. They ignored me and continued their verbal skirmish. “No, I think Tereya got the most laugh’s.” Tereya’s dad said. Carmelo said something and Anna relayed it to us. “He still says Urusai got her to laugh the most. I’m still undecided.” Anna was the one who could break the tie, but she couldn’t tell, and Tana was getting so bored, she was falling asleep against Tereya’s chest. Tereya was rocking from side to side with her. “Mom! Uri made Tana laugh the most! Not Tereya AGAIN!” Tana fussed, and Tereya put her finger to her lips and glared at him. She continued rocking Tana. I sighed and got up. “Yo guys have to be somewhere. Go, or I’ll vote for Tereya.” Keith shook his head fast. “No, Uri! Mom could make it a tie, if you do that!” He hissed. “A tie it is then. Look, you guys are gonna be late. Go, go.” I grabbed Anna by her arm and pulled her off of the couch. I used my other hand to grab Tereya’s mom. “Go, go! *Ouuto!” I pushed them out the front door. Anna giggled at me a bit. I blushed and looked at the floor. I wasn’t used to being laughed at in a nice way. It was weird… “Alright.” Tereya’s mom said. They hurried up and got their final things ready, then left.

I sighed and sat on the kitchen counter. “Off the counter!” Tereya yelled at me so loud I jumped off. She glared at me, then went into the fridge. “Go entertain Keith. I got Tana.” I nodded and went to find Keith. He was outside with a soccer ball. He was bouncing it on his knee, then his forehead. I made seal noises and he jumped and dropped the ball. I gave him a smile, then stole his soccer ball. “Hey!” I shot him a smile and ran acrossed the field. “My goal’s over there, your’s is right, here! GOAL!” He pouted. “No fair!” I smiled and kicked him the soccer ball. He made a pouty face, then smiled back. “Fine! I’m the best soccer player at school. Watch, I’ll beat you!” I raised an eyebrow. “Well I’m so good at all sports, once I change, I play with the boys.” He gave me a look, but then started dribbling the soccer ball away from me. We went inside for a drink with a score of 29 to 32. I let him win the 32. Some of them though, he got on his own. He’s good at faking a shot, too. I would love to seriously play the kid when he’s older or something. “Water?” He shook his head. “Lemonade.” I nodded and poured him a glass. “Tana, please stop crying! You do this whenever mommy leaves!” I looked at Keith. “Tery has a hard time getting Tana to sleep.” I handed him the drink. We both chugged it down with one gulp. “Alright. It’s getting dark. Let’s have Tery start dinner.” He nodded. “I’m hungry!” I went into the living room. “Want me to hold her? It’s getting late and Keith just said he was hungry.” He nodded. She sighed. “I’m trying to get her to go to sleep and she keeps crying and pushing away her bottle.” I nodded and took her. “I got her. You go make dinner before the kid starts eating the couch.” She looked at me with wide eyes, then let out a faint smile as she got up to leave. Keith looked at me as I sat down with Tana. “Tery likes you.” I shushed Tana and held her hands to give her the bottle. Nii-chan had always said I’d push the bottle away even though I wanted it. Tana did the same thing. I smiled at her. “Oh, really?”
“Yeah. She usually doesn’t smile at dogs. She hates them actually.” I nodded. “I figured that much.” Keith watched as I gently traced my finger down her nose and she blinked, eventually taking longer to open them, then left them closed. “Go see if Tery needs help, okay? And tell her I got Tana to sleep.” He nodded and bounced off of the couch. I sighed and leaned back with Tana. She fused a little, but stayed a sleep. Tereya came back in. “There’s no way you-” She let her eyes get a little wide. “How…?” I smiled and put my finger to my lips. “When their tired, their fussy, so even if they want their bottle, they’ll push it away.” She stayed silent and just watched Tana sleep on me. Keith pulled the back of her shirt. “Tery. I’m hungry.”
“Let him do a lot. It’ll help ware him out.” She blinked, like she was getting out of a daze but nodded and walked away with Keith.

I was woken up to Tereya gently shaking my shoulder, only because she didn’t want to wake Tana. “Time to eat, mutt.” She said quietly. I shook my head to wake up and gently put Tana down in her play-pen. She didn’t wake up. I went into the kitchen to salad and Italian. Keith was already stuffing his face. Tereya sighed, agitated, and put her hands on her hips. “Didn’t I tell you to wait?” He slouched down in his chair. “Sorry… I was hungry…” I sat down. “Don’t be mad at him. He ran around for who knows how long outside, and then had to wait for the food. Lasagna takes a long time to make.” She sat down, too. “Whatever. He could of waited a few more seconds. Itadakimasu.” The food looked really good, although, I was probably gonna have a hard time telling her that.
“Itadakimasu.” I started with the salad, so I wouldn’t stuff my face with the lasagna. Keith didn’t have a problem with stuffing his face at all. I put Italian on my salad. Keith was done first, so he said he’d quietly watch TV in the living room, which left me and Tereya alone at the dinner table. It was awkward. “I-It’s good…” She looked up at me, then returned her gaze back to her meal. “…Better than that school crap.” A small smile appeared on her pink lips. I smiled too. “WAY better. And you can actually taste the cheese.” She nodded and bit the food on her fork. “I bet even your crap would be better than this.” Now that I think about it… “If Keith’s still sleeping in the morning, can you show me how to make pancakes or something? You kind of said you would…” I bit my fork with no food on it. Just hope you tired him out enough.” Oh, dear god, Keith stay asleep for the morning! I nodded.

When we were done, I did dishes and Tereya put the food away. We then went into the living room to check on Tana and Keith. They were both asleep.
I put a blanked over Keith. He had fallen asleep on the couch, so that meant I’d have to sleep in Tereya’s room. I followed her up the stairs and then sat on her bed while she went to the bathroom to change. I grabbed my duffle bag out of a corner of her room and changed really quickly, then sat on her bed again. I was in a tank top and sweat pants. She came back and asked me, “What are you doing?” I looked up at her. “Sitting on your bed. Where do you want me to sleep? The floor?” She glared at me as I slid to the floor. She sat on her bed, then buried her self under the covers. “Your gonna make my floor decemvirate.” I sighed and got up. “What am I supposed to sleep standing up?” I leaned against the wall. She glared at me. “No thank you, I don’t need an extra doorway.” I looked at the ceiling, and she gave me a “really, dumb-ass?” look. I sighed. “Okay, so where do you want me to sleep? On the living room floor?”
“And have my parents come back and see that? Know how bad that’d make me look? Nuh-uh.” I sighed and scratched the back of my head. “Well, where do you want me to sleep, then?” From her nose down was covered, but I could still tell she was blushing. She didn’t say anything, but turned over. Wait- she didn’t say I COULDN’T sleep in her bed, she just asked what was I do in it.

…So… Did she want me to…? I plopped down on her bed and wrapped my arms around her. “H-Hey! What are you-?”
“You didn’t say I couldn’t sleep in your bed with you.” I heard a little high-pitched gasp. “L-Look, just don’t go being a yuri or whatever…” I moved the blankets so I could get under them, then wrapped my arms around her. It was quiet for a minute, and I could feel her breathing heavy and her pulse race. “So, um… A-About UsagiRita…” I used my elbow to prop myself up. “Sasami? What about her?” She turned to me, which made her kind of burry her face in my chest a little. Her tight looking t-shirt and capree night-pants twisted around her stomach and hips and her shirt was a bit jacked up. “So, why’d she kiss you…?” I blushed at remembering our kiss-fest in the bathroom. Thank god Tereya hadn’t seen THAT or she’d literally kill me- wait, why? “I’ll tell you as long as you promise to tell me why you got so mad about it- Honestly, not those lame-o excuses.” She blushed, but nodded. She curled up into a ball, and her face was buried in my stomach. I blushed. “…Because… Because… She has no right to do that…”
“And you do? You kissed my lips, remember?” I heard her hic/gasp. “I-I just… Well, I… Your not answering my question, either!” She gripped my shirt and looked up at me. Her face was bright red. “Tereya, do you feel like you have the right?” She clenched my shirt and squeezed her eyes shut to yell at me. “B-baka! Answer MY question now!”
“Tereya,” I cupped her chin in my hand and kissed her. She did her hic/gasp thing again, but then oddly, kissed me back. “Your MINE. I basically own you because of what you did… UsagiRita doesn’t… I do.” My arms were around her back, and she was on top of me a bit. Her chest was pushing against me a bit and I wanted to die. “Now tell me why she kissed you, mutt.” I looked at her, then replied, “It was kind of a “congratulations” kiss… I didn’t know that she was going to do that in front of everyone, but… You went right? How come?” She buried her face in my collar bone. She pulled my shirt down a bit, then licked my chest on the left side (my left). “W-Wha…?”
“…Gomenasai… I hurt your heart didn’t I? By always being mean to you…” I blushed. “I went to see you. I like music a lot, but truthfully, I’m nervous in front of a crowd that big. The class was fine, but… I couldn’t of done that in front of a crowd that big… I wanted to see how good you were in front of a big crowd with actual music…” I waited, but she didn’t say anymore. “So what’d you think?” She looked up at me. “You said it was a “congrats” kiss right?” huh? I nodded. She kissed me. She did it for so long I had time to mentally freak out, then count for how long she did it for. Over 7 seconds. “…Yo-You were great…” She then got off and turned over to go to bed.

“…Tereya…?”
“Hm?”
“Do you dislike me?” She turned back around and buried her face in the area above my chest. “No… But I don’t exactly like you either…”

…That’s perfectly fine by me.

One of THE best ways to wake up is with the person you think you have a crush on in your arms.
I have never been happier than to be woken up as early as I was. EVER. Tana had cried for a dipper change and a fresh bottle around seven in the morning. Tereya and I got up like tired parents. She had fell asleep laying on me, and I had my arms around her waist. She jumped at Tana yelling at the top of her lungs. She stumbled out of the bed, taking the blankets with her. I had just sighed and turned over taking the covers back. I was half asleep, so I didn’t remember what she had promised me. When I did, I figured Kieth was already awake, so I stayed in bed until Tery called for me. I groaned and stumbled out of her bed, taking the covers with me to the doorway. I went downstairs and saw Kieth with a pillow over his head, but he was still sleeping. “How can he sleep through that?” My darling Tereya was finishing up wiping Tana. “They share a room.” I nodded and went to her crib and got her bottle. “Four formula and two baby rice, right?” She nodded, looking very tired. I had the urge to just kiss her cheek, then go make Tana’s bottle, but I decided against it. I let the water run as I got out the baby rice and formula. I yawned really big, like a dog would, showing all of me teeth, then shook my head to wake up. By the time I got back, Tereya was shushing Tana and slightly bouncing her on torso. Tana ignored her and hollered. I sat down and my Tery handed me Tana. “Shhhh. Tana, baby. It’s okay. Hush.” I gave her the bottle and started humming “Hush” by, oh my god-ness, Automatic Loveletter. Tana hushed as soon as she had the bottle in her mouth.
Tereya sighed and sat next to me, moving Kieth’s feet. She laid her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. I wanted to put my head on her’s, but I didn’t want her to move. “You tired still?” She nodded and sat up and stretched. “Yeah, but I’ll officially wake up in a minute. I can’t go back to sleep now.” She got up and stretched again, making her chest push out. “Alright. Is Kieth still sleeping?” I looked over at him and moved the pillow. He was passed out like a drunk person with a hangover. He was asleep in a puddle of drool, and more was still coming, and he was half off of the couch. I smiled and put the pillow back. “Yup. Passed out.” She nodded, pushing him back on the couch. “Put Tana in her play-pen and I’ll show you how to make pancakes.” My face lit up and my heart flew out of my chest. I quietly put Tana down. I propped up her bottle on her blanket so she wasn’t sucking air, then went into the kitchen. Tereya was getting out ingredients. “Okay, mutt.” She sounded like a drill sargent now.
“Put on a apron so you don’t get dirty, but before that, wash your hands.” I nodded and did as she said. “Okay. Measure as much as it says to on the back of the box, then put in into the big bowl.” She handed me a measuring cup. I measured it out, the put in a bowl. “Now add a little water. We want it to be thick and not liquidated.” I turned on the faucet. “Warm or cold?”
“Doesn’t matter. I use warm though- not burning hot.” I nodded and used warm water. I stirred it and it seemed very dry. “Add a little more water.” I did as she told me to. My Tery was lounging on the counter, giving me instructions like a drill sargent, looking like a sea siren. (Beautiful, but able to kill.) She let her leg swing as she watched me. “Okay that’s good. Now get the vanilla and sugar. If you want a certain fruit in them, get it out of the fridge.” Vanilla and sugar? Okay. She’s the cook here. I looked through the fridge after getting the vanilla and sugar. I saw lots of raspberries. I felt her hair tickle my neck. “…I like raspberries is all…” Her breathe was warm. “Do you want them in the pancakes?” She put her chin in my shoulder. “I don’t know. Never tried it.” She said, her chin making her head bounce as she talked. I grabbed for them. “First time for everything.” As I went to go stand, I felt her chest push against my back. She jumped. “S-Sorry…” She shook her head. “Whatever. J-Just dash the vanilla and sprinkle the sugar in there using your hand.” She glanced away, blushing. I did as she said, then washed my hands again. I gently grabbed a handful of raspberries and put them in the bowl. “Mix it without crushing them. If helps if you do this.” She took the spoon and kind of flipped the bottom of the contents to the top. “Do that. It won’t crush them. We should of used frozen raspberries because then they we wouldn’t have to worry about mush…”
Stiring it, I got pancake mix on my fingers with a bit of raspberries. I offered it to her. “Want some?” I joked. But, apparently, she wasn’t. She took my hand and licked my fingers. My face was as red as the fruit I had used. “T-Tery, I was kidding…” She ignored me, probably because she’d be more embarrassed than I am. She moved her tongue off my fingers. “Don’t call me Tery. Kieth’s a kid, so he has leeway. You don’t.” She stuck her pink, tiny tongue out and continued to lick my fingers. She had a little on her mouth and I had the strong urge to lick it. Instead I used my free hand to wipe it and lick my thumb. “C-Cut that out!” I kind of smirked/smiled at her. “At least I used my finger and not my tongue.” Her face turned to fire and she whipped around. “W-Wash your damn hands, mutt!” I smiled. As awkward as this was, I was enjoying it. I washed my hands and then asked her what to do next. “Get out a pan and spray it with butter or use actual butter, then turn on the stove top.” I nodded.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her eyebrow twitched. “How in the HELL do you manage to burn them?! I was right HERE!” I looked sheepish. “How pathetic are you?”
“…I’m so pathetic I burn water.” She stopped looking like she was gonna kill me, then started giggling. “I bet you do, as highly impossible as that is. Well,” She took on of the darkened pancakes and bit it. “Their just a little burnt. Not inedible or anything. I hate to waste all that food, so I’ll eat them.” I swear I’ve seen this somewhere befo- Junjou Romanitca! With Shinoubu and that other guy! He couldn’t cook for jack, yet his boyfriend still ate the cabbage stir fry crap!
…I love that anime. “Hello? Are you even listening?” I jumped. “H-Huh?” She sighed. “I said go get Kieth while I set the table.” I nodded and went into the living room. I sat next to the boy.
“Kieth? Kieth, come on get up lazy. Food- er, well, things you can eat, I guess, are ready.” I shook him a bit. “Did Tery burn something again?” I looked at him. “What do you mean? I did.” He rubbed his eyes. “Oh. Tery sometimes burns things. She says that she has to try hard, but she says it’s okay because if you don’t try hard, you can’t say you meant it when you did it.” I looked at him rant about my Tereya. She made it seem like it just came so naturally to her, but in truth, she had to work for it too. What was that example again… “It’s harder to try hard and get a zero than it is to try hard and get a hundred”?
Huh… Either way… “Alrighty, then. Why don’t you - quietly- tell me if my cooking taste anything like Tery’s.” He nodded and groggily got up. “ ‘S Tana sleeping again?” I nodded. “I think so. Why?”
“She woke me up.” I looked at him. “…She did? I thought you were still sleeping.” He shook his head. “If I pretend to be asleep, I can actually go back to sleep.” I nodded. “A-ha. Well, either way, time to eat.” He nodded and got up and grabbed the back of my shirt. “Uri, what exactly did you burn?” I looked back at him. “Why?”
“ ‘Cuse it smells like it does when I burn toast…”
…Great. My pancakes smell like burnt toast. I sighed and finished leading him into the kitchen. “Okay, all set up. What’s Tana doing?” I stopped short then walked back into the living room. I peaked over her play-pen. She was awake, but quiet. I went back into the kitchen to give the boss a report. “She’s awake, but just laying there with her bottle.” She nodded. “It’s okay if you don’t want to eat it, Kieth. I’ll make you something else if you don’t.” He nodded, still half-asleep, and rubbed his eyes, then yawned. “Uri made it right? I’ll eat it.” I wanted to hug him. He looked at me and gave me a tired, cheesy smile. Tereya gave him a plate and put down several syrups. They were decent size, and in a wooden thing-y. It looked like it was made to specifically hold syrup containers, like at breakfast places. “Carmel, strawberry, or regular?” He thought for a minute, then pointed to the dark red liquid. “Strawberry it is then.” She easily took out the glass container and poured the thick, red liquid over his slightly brown things that were supposed to be pancakes. “Whip cream?” She asked when she was done putting the container back. He nodded. “You?” She turned to me. I shook my head. “I’m fine. Thanks though.” She nodded and gave me an odd look like had just refused gold so she could have it. Not like she was complaining or anything, just that maybe I was a bit out of it to say no. I grabbed the syrup carefully, and poured it over my “pancakes”. I reached for the fork, when Tereya gently tapped my hand, like I was a kid who didn’t know any better. “You wait ‘til everyone has their food and until plates are completely made.” I quietly sighed and sat back in my seat. She sprayed whip cream onto Kieth’s “pancakes”. I put my head down on the table. I was tired and impatient. Tereya tapped my head with a large spoon. “Up.” She commanded. I did the trick for her. She put this odd looking concoction onto our plates. “Um… I don’t wanna seem rude, but what in the he-e-eeck is that?” I was going to say “hell” She sighed. “Cottage cheese, whip cream, and fruit. It’s good, trust me.” My ears perked up. “Can I taste test it?” She sighed like she was agitated. “Came here.” She walked off into the dining room. “Kieth, you can eat now if you want to.” Crap. I was going to get lectured…
She turned around and I saw she still had the bowl with her. I thought she set it down on the table… “Here.” She had a big lot of it in between her fingers. I sniffed, just in case my nose was bleeding. I went to go reach out to hold her hands so I could, but she pulled it back. “On your knees, mutt.”
…Oh, great. Lesse, how desperate was I? Oh, wait! Look at that, I’m already on my knees! She gave me a smirk, but out her hand out. “You would be a good servant- IF that’s what our relationship was. But that wanna be psychiatrist of a teacher was wrong. You owe me. That’s it.” I licked in between her fingers. “You do this of your own accord.” She crouched down to get on my eye level. “Mutt?” She said sweetly, like that was actually my name. “Haaa?” I asked, my tongue still out, licking her fingers. Was almost gone… She pulled her hand away. “Your face is red.” She snickered at me. She put her fingers back into the bowl and put it out to me again. “More?” I didn’t hesitate. I felt so awkward… So… “You feeling turned on?” I almost gagged. She giggled almost hysterically, like a child when they’re rich and finally get what they want after whining for days. “Aww, you are aren’t you?” She leaned in closer to me. She was at my ear. “Why don’t you get a congrats kiss from UsagiRita?” She got up and walked away, making me feel like a dumb ass. She looked over her shoulder and licked her fingers at me. “Come on, mutt.” She smirked at me, then left for the kitchen.
….What the HELL was her problem?! I whipped my wet eyes. I thought we cleared that up! If Kieth wasn’t here, I swear to god…! I got up and and stormed out of the house. “Uri, are yo-” I slammed the door behind me. It’s never good to show someone you don’t like when they upset you. They’ll keep doing it, and doing it, and… and… “AAHHHHHH!!!” I screamed. “IIII HAAAATE YOOOUUUU!!!” I gasped for air, then screamed again. “AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!” I fell over and sniffed, gasping for air. I can’t stand her… I hate her… You know what? Fine. If she wants me to get a kiss from Sami-chan, fine. I will. She wants to be a bitch and Medusa, and the devils incarnate, fine. She can do that. Don’t expect me to be talking to her for a while.
Experiment time, execute.
I whipped my eyes on my arm, and sniffed. I came back into the house, my throat sore. Kieth looked kind of scared, while Tereya was just eating nonchalantly. “You made Tana cry.” I didn’t say anything to her, but I walked into the living room to go get Tana. I picked her up. “Shhh.” I bounced her. I walked with her up to Tereya’s room. I changed difficulty: balancing her on my hip and getting dressed. Once that was done and over with, I trashed my stuff, looking for my ipod, then shoved it all back into my duffel bag after finding it. I sat back and just breathed with Tana in my lap. I had my ipod playing In This Moment, “Beautiful Tragedy”. I fiddled with my dark purple shirt, then made a rip in my jeans larger. “…Tomato paste…” I smirked. Nii-chan would always act like a moron to cheer me up when I was little.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Waaa! You’re so stupid!” Nii-chan had crouched down near me. “Hey, don’t call him that.” The boy had glared at me. My knee was bruised and bloodied, while his face was swollen. “Look, Uru,” I had flailed as he tried to calm me down. I was feeling the exact same way I was then, than I am now. “Stupid hyena! You think everythings so funny! Is it funny NOW?!” He had smirked at me. “Yup. Your gonna have to get stitches.” I had flinched at the thought. “You… I’m gonna kill you!” I had lunged for him, but Nii-chan had yanked me back by my hips. “Uru, calm down!” The hyena had laughed at me in an annoying hysterical way. “I just have to wait until my tooth grows back in. You have to get stitches, you have to get stitches!” He had sang. I had clawed at my brother to get at him. “Lemme at him! I’m going to make sure he needs so many stitches, he’ll look like a STITCHED mummy!” Let’s just say I wasn’t the sharpest crayon in the box. (But I was around one of the brightest.) “Uru, stop it, or I’m telling dad!” I had growled. “I don’t care!” I had started barking and foaming. I had felt Nii-chan smack my cheek. My swelled up eyes from crying started watering with more tears. He had jacked me up by my arm and hauled me off to the school nurse.
“Oh, my what happened?” The nurse had asked. The only thing I could even vaguely remember about her was that she had bright, neon, tasteless nail polish and lipstick on and brown eyes. She had said I would need some stitches, but only about two or three. “Nooooo!” I had cried. “I don’t want any!” Nii-chan had patted my head to calm me down. “The tomato needs it’s tomato paste.” I thought Nii-chan usually talked a lot of junk, but this junk was something I would always remember. “Wa?”
“Just think of it like tomato paste.” I had tipped my head. “Tomato paste?” Nii-chan had nodded. “Yeah. Think of people as tomatoes. Their all strong looking, but truthfully, they bruise easily, don’t they? Tomato paste comes from a bright, red, energetic tomato. The tomato needs it, but it’s okay if it shows sometimes. Did you know it can show itself in here?” He had ran his finger over my nose. “What?! I don’t want to bleed out of my nose!” He had laughed at me. “No, no. You turn red out of anger or embarrassment.” I had nodded like I knew what he was talking about, but now, I get it. Plus the fact that like paste, it helps to fix things, like cuts. It’s like those weird things in blood that make you stop bleeding out of a cut or such would have been hard for him to describe to me then. Over the years, I’ve learned that the tomato juice can leak out of your mouth and heart, but that weird tomato paste will be there to fix it right up. It was a very stupid analogy, but it had worked for me. “Hey Uru, did you know? Things always have a happy ending. If it’s not happy, then it’s not the end yet.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I smirked and danced with Tana, singing loudly and obnoxiously. “Do you like waffles? Yeah we like waffles! Do you like pancakes? Yeah we like pancakes! Do you like French toast? Yeah we like French toast!” Tana giggled hysterically, even though I couldn’t hear her over the blare in my headphones. “Toooo-mimosa-ttttooo- Paaaassstttee!” I sang loudly and in random octaves. I took my headphones out, sweating from dancing it all out, and smiling from feeling better. “Alright, Tana. Me is hungry. Lessa go!” I went back downstairs and put Tana in her play-pen. I marched back into the kitchen and plopped down into the weely chair. Kieth looked at me a little odd. “Um… Uri are you okay now?” I gave him a big smile and a thumbs up. “Tomato Paste!” He looked at me like I was crazy, then started giggling, then it escalated into hysterical laughter. Tereya looked at me like we were insane. I got up and walked over to her.
“Listen, Tery. I don’t know what your problem is, but it’s not gonna bother me. You’re the one who started it, so it’s only a little confusing, and things I find confusing, I IGNORE.” I gave her a big smile, then ate my gross, soggy pancakes and crap that she said would be good.
For some reason, my food tasted better.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anna and Carmello came back with Tereya’s parents not soon after I was done eating. “*Okaidinasai!” I said, greeting them. Anna gave me a smile. Carmello nodded awkwardly. I gave him a smile. He looked a little shocked, but gave me a brief smile back. “*Tadaima!” Tereya’s mom said. “Did you enjoy yourselves?” Teeya’s dad took off his coat and threw it on the couch. “Yup.” I smiled. “That’s good. Kieth and Tana were great Anna.” I said, turning to her. “That’s good.” I nodded. “Well, your in a good mood.” Tereya’s dad said. I nodded. “Hai! If I get really mad, it’s weird, but I actually feel really good afterward.” He nodded and went into the kitchen for some water. “People hole up inside them a lot more anger and aggression than you think they would- along with other emotions too, obviously.” I slammed my hand down on the table.
“I’m writing a new song called “Hole”!” He looked at me with the water in his hand, then laughed out loud at me. “Alright then. Get to work. There’s paper in the printer, or it you want lines, in my room on the bookshelf, there’s tons of notebooks. Look for one with a blank one. In the drawer there’s a pen. Let me see it when your done.” I nodded. “*Yoshi!” I felt totally motivated as I headed for Terey’a parent’s room. “Hey, Urusai!” Tereya yelled at me when I went into her parents room. I ignored her like I said I would. Telling someone I would, especial the person I was making the promise to or about, made me keep the promise. She’s either going to have to explain, or STOP completely. I ripped out a piece of paper, then walked out of the room after putting the notebook back. “Hey! Don’t ignore me!” I walked out and into the kitchen. “Hey!” I looked up at her from the drawer and just smiled. I sat at the table. “Cut it out, already!”
“Cut what out, Tereya?” Her mom asked. She faltered. “*N-Nondemonai…” I smiled. “I think she’s just a little antsy after watching Kieth and Tana. She should be fine, *nee?” Tereya’s mom looked at me, then Tereya, but nodded and left. Princess didn’t like to not be payed attention to. Tereya leaned down towards my ear and I could almost feel the seething anger coming off of her. She was now also a sake charmer- wait, no. That’s still under the category of Medusa. I was tempted to call her that to her face, but a certain broken necklace prevented that.
“You better cut out whatever it is that you’re doing. Your being more that abnormal, because that’s what you normally are. So cut it out, mutt.” I had the shrinking feeling, that she wanted to say WAAAAYY more than that, but was afraid of being over heard.
After all, the walls have ears.

Hole
A deep, vast, bottomless pit inside of us.
Cast off the seething venom of anger into the pit.
Throw in the jealously of things we think we don’t have into the hole.
~Tell me which feeling is your favorite? Loathing? Vanity? Deceit? Which are you best at? Faking them, or really getting into your role?
Add the melancholy of lost things into the hole.
In depth for the illusions of abusive happiness, throw it into the pit.
~Tell me which feeling is your favorite? Anguish? Dejection? Falsify? Which are you best at? Faking them, or really getting into your role?
Eventually, the pit will over flow, so find somewhere else to blurry your feelings, so,
The only thing you should cast off into the pit is the mask that you wear.
That mask of anger, sorrow, jealousy, deceit, or fake feeling, should never be worn, yet…
Masks are made to be worn, so why throw them away?

Chapter 4

Title: Make up, Baloons, and a Caramel Apple; Chapter 11

[Author's notes: yandare - a person who outwardly seems to be cold and/or cruel, but is truthfully a softy.
Aho - in area’s like Tokyo, it is a major insult along the lines of “retard”, but in areas like Osaka, “aho”’s along the lines of “baka”, and “baka” is along the lines of “retard”.
saa - now]

“Oh, girls! Come ‘ere for a sec!” Tereya’s dad yelled from the other room. We both made it to the doorway at the same time, and both stopped. Tereya glared at me, then continued walking. Ignore the Medusa-wanna-be, Uru. Just ignore her… Then I followed suit. Tereya plopped her self down in the recliner, and myself on the couch. “Well, you both knew that we couldn’t pay you and all, so, luckily, we got a free circus ticket!” Tereya rolled her eyes behind her dad’s back. “Goodie! Will there be clowns their and cotton candy?” She asked sarcastically, obviously know both would be there.
Her dad not taking the hint of sarcasm, just nodded. “Well, buying them for all of us would cost way too much, so we just took the free one and bought another for Urusai, seeing as she helped out!” Tereya huffed under her breath, “dammit! I knew I should of done this by myself…” Her dad ignored her.
Wish my dad did that! I accidentally said “fuck” after slamming my hand in the door really hard one time, and I was miserable. (My video-games and music got confiscated for a month.) Either way, he continued.
“Now I’m trusting you both to be mature, and responsible,” Tereya looked up from her nails and at me, giving me a sarcastic smile. “and on your best behavior.” I looked back at her, giving her the same smile. “Now, it’s next week, so let’s set up what’s happening when.”
We discussed some stuff. Boring stuff about fun stuff. Tery’s dad would come pick me up at nine am, and then drop us off with 25 buck’s a piece for rides and stuff. We’d bring lunch as not to blow money, which Tereya would make and bring. Her dad would then pick us up at nine-thirty pm and drop me off at home, spare cash to be handed over.
That was next Sunday’s schedule. From nine am to nine-thirty pm was up to us, although the show was at twelve. After that discussion, Tereya attempted to kick me out several times, but I continuously ignored her. I should get a thumbs up. (I’m scared to say pat on the back, because Tereya attempted to smack my back several times with one of those, “So, buddy, HOW ya DOIN’?” Hard smack on the back on each capital word. She never actually said that though…
Only one thing to do now; ignore Tereya the best I could until Sunday, hope on Sunday she doesn’t poison my lunch, and wait until Sunday. Ha-ha…ha….. Mmnn….
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OH MY FUNKING GOD-ES-NESS!!! I’m still alive! And I haven’t said ONE word to Tereya all week! She didn’t threaten me with the “you busted my necklace” thing either to get me to talk! I’m still A-li-ha-ha-ive!!! WHOO!
I was planning on eating a big breakfast just in case Tereya tried to poison me. Just in case. I had on a plain white shirt and black skinny jeans with a black snap-bracelet. My hair was in a high ponytail with some pieces down in the front. Simple and cute. Wonder what Tereya’s wearing… “Uru? HEELLLOOOOO???”
“H-Hai!” Nii-chan rolled his eyes. “Now for the third time, bagel, cereal, or eggs and toast?”
“All of it!” I said with a smile. He looked at me like I was an imposer. “Nani?” I asked. He shook his head. “Tereya isn’t a boy and got you prego right? You sure want to eat a lot, even for you, considering how much I make and all, and you know that.” I nodded. (two bowls of cereal, and entire carton of eggs and five pieces of toast, and three overly-creamchesed bagels.) “No, and yes. I don’t feel like being poisoned is all.” He kept giving me the “YOU IMPOSTOR!” look, while I sat at the table. I finished eating right when Tereya rang the doorbell. I jumped up and walked over to the door. (It’s weird I know, our front door in the kitchen, with a porch and everything.)
Tereya had on another shirt that made her chest look good that was dark blue and with a pair of ripped jeans. She had her teal phone on a strap with some logo around her neck, too. Her hair was half up and half down. I also noticed the studs in her ears. She had more than one hole in each ear. “Let’s go, mutt.” Was the first thing out of her mouth before I even got the door all the way open. “Uh, right! Bye Nii-chan!” I called because he had finished before me, retreating to the living room. “Bye, Uru!” He called. I shut the door and followed Tereya to her dad’s car. I had this nagging feeling Sori would be over today while I was gone…
She sat in the front of the car, and I the back, obviously.
Tereya was bouncing her foot, which was over her leg, to whatever she had playing in her ipod. Her dad had some weird sounding stuff playing. Not in a good weird (for me anyway) either.
We got out of the car once we got there, and Tereya tried to pretend to forget my lunch. “Tereya.” Tereya spun around like a grade-schooler. “Yes father?” He handed her my lunch. “Either take both, or you’ll have share yours- and I’ll ask if you did. If not, you get no dinner, so I suggest you take it.” She made a face, then took it. “Fine- only because mom’s making something really good tonight.” She took it and ran off. “Hey, Urusai.” He grabbed air near me. I turned back around. “Yes?” He waved me over with his finger and I came over. “Don’t let her boss you around okay? I know she may seem like a big egoistic jerk sometimes, but trust me on this, my kid’s a total *Yandere.” I nodded. “Yeah, I’ve seen it. But then she’s even more of a jerk afterwords.” He nodded. “It’s only to cover up the fact that she was nice. Don’t let her fool you or get to you, okay?” I nodded, hearing Tereya yell at me to hurry up and stop plotitng with her father against her. He gave me a “see?” smile, then let me go.
I ran over to her.
“ ‘Bout dang time. It was gonna be our turn soon.” I nodded. “Sor-” crap. Wasn’t gonna talk to her. She eyed me funny, then started to hum “Mugen no Hikari”, her headphones still in. When it was our turns, she took them out. She gave then the two tickets and our hands got stamped. The guy looked bored, but then he probably saw Tereya’s boobs, cuz he perked up when it was our turn. “Would you like a map?” He offered. She shrugged and held her hand out, her face looking the other way. The way he held the map, I could tell he was going to pretend to hit her chest, so I grabbed it instead. Tereya looked at me, realizing I had snatched it. She glared at me, rolled her eyes, then started walking. The guy at the counter glared at me, but I just growled at him, his big mouse ears twitching. He tried to hold his own but had accidentally took a step back, which was all I needed to leave, because simply, I had won.
BACK OFF MY TERY BETCH!!!
Fin! Yay! I won! I walked past the rotators, and found Tereya filling out a lost child ticket. I raised an eyebrow. I looked over her shoulder.
I felt my eyebrow twitch. “What the HELL are you doing?!” She just briefly looked at me, then went back t the ticket. “In case you get lost. My phone numbers on here for them to contact if you get lost, and your, what? 12?” I wanted to bite her. “Sixteen.” She looked at her boobs and poked them, then looked at my chest which was flatter than her’s, and giggled. “You shut up! You have like, what? 80 years on me?” Her ear twitched. “No. You have years on me. I’m fourteen. Fifteen soon, so nnn!” on the “nnn” she had stuck her tongue out at me.
AWWW! Shit! Thank the gods my birthday had already passed, or we’d be two years apart! Still, for being fourteen, she had big ass boobs. I kind of wanted to come up behind her and grab her while she was filling out the rest of that stupid form… “Nee?” She turned around to me, my mind still being on her boobs, noticed that they bounced. “N-Nani?” I could tell my face was red, and I knew I needed to move my eyes or I’d get smacked…
Crap. Too late. Her eyes followed mine down to her chest. She smirked and walked closer to me, which made me back up. She grabbed the collar of my shirt, and got close enough to push her chest against mine. I froze. She was a little shorter than me, now that she was this close… I could feel her breath on my lips…
God I wanted to attack her- and not in the “make you bleed” way- wait, that way can make you bleed too… EITHER WAY! You get the point. I wanted to to naughty things to her right here and now on that damn table with the lost child forms in front of everyone.
REALLY bad.
I caught myself groping in the middle of the night to thoughts of her. I felt awful afterwords for some reason…
OFF TOPIC! Back on track…
She pushed her chest really hard against mine. If I was a guy, I’d be harder than a diamond, and seeing as I was a girl, I just bit my lip as not to moan in public. “You jealous? You want these? Or were you being a disgusting dog again and thinking like trash would about my body?” I opened my mouth as to lie (seeing as those were my thoughts) but she cut me off. “Show me a good time today and maybe I’ll reward you. How’s that? I mean, I’ve been thinking since you stopped talking to me all week. Maybe I’ve been doing this wrong. Instead of threatening you, I could reward you in small ways. You’d be more likely to listen that way. So, how’s that?”
Is it okay to go in a public bathroom and masturbate really loudly? No? Didn’t think so. “Your just screwing with me again, aren’t you?” She tipped her head. “I don’t know, am I?” I pushed her off with force, but not roughly. “If I’m in a good mood, and that works out well for you, you’ll just say it’s because I want whatever the hell you think I want from you!” She shrugged and held out the lost child ticket. “Here. Don’t get lost or it’ll put a damper in my mood, which won’t be good for you.” I snatched it, and as soon as she turned around, I trashed it.
Ruin YOUR mood, Tereya? Really? Well, I just might because now I’m pissed.
I
Don’t
Get
Her!
I followed her, not in a “willing to face the devil’s incarnation” mood anymore. “Hey, mutt, what do you want to do first? I never can pick. Rides, attempt the games for prizes, walk around the food court to decide on what we want later, animals… Can’t pick.” I was too pissed for anything. MAYBE I could tolerate rides. So, “Rides.” She clasped her hands together and turned to me, and I swear her eyes were sparkling. “They have a new one I want to go on! I forgot about it!” She dragged me all the way to the ride she want to go on, paper Urusai in the wind. “Um, Tereya, don’t we have to buy tickets first?” She stopped, turned around on one foot, then ran the other way. “Excuse me, how many can we buy with 25?” The lady leaned into the mic to reply.”25 tickets.” She turned to me. “Give me a dollar.” …Hn? “What? No! Why should I?” She crossed her arms. “unless you want one less ride than me, feel free. If not, cough it up.” I handed her a five. She gave me
My four back, along with my 13 tickets. “Okay. Let’s not waste ‘em all now, okay?” Wow, she was really excited. I’d be okay with it if she hadn’t ruined my mood. She hauled me off to this big looking ride that, uh-oh…
Right now, I’m praying I don’t vomit…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I ran to the nearest trash can and hurled. Tereya was giggling hysterically at me. “That’s why I didn’t eat much. Yo looked like a green balloon ready to pop!” She laughed at me, not in a evil way, but in a annoying grade schooler way. She calmed her self down and walked over to me. “You okay?” She started rubbing my back. I just looked at her. She giggled again and moved my hair. “Here. I don’t want it in your hair- ‘cuse then I’d have to smell not only you the entire time, but your vomit.” I glared at her as I gagged again. She gave me a gentle smile. “It’s okay.” I glared at her again. “Who are you and what have you done with my Tereya?”

…SHIT!!! I said “my”- hn? She was giggling at me… “Today I hid her in a deep dark place, and replaced her with me. Is that okay, mutt?” I just eyed her. “Lesse go!” She said, smacking my back so hard I almost fell over the trashcan.
Yup. She was still in there. I started to follow her. Truthfully, I would of loved to be more into this, but the part of me that would have been mildly skeptical, if I was in a good mood, was now blaring sirens and car-crash noises. “Hey, mutt! Look! I want one! Aren’t they cute?” I walked over to see what she was looking at. It was this weird looking stuffed, um, animal(?) with big blue eyes. “Um, that thing?” She looked at me. “Please? You have the cash!” I looked at it, then at her. “First off, why?” She looked at it and shrugged. “I like it’s eyes. Their big and blue…” She looked at me, a little more monotone. “Onegai?” She asked still looking at me. I felt like I was missing something here. Either way, I rolled my eyes and sat down, slapping a one on the table. There was a guy with his girlfriend a seat away and a little kid with a mom who was already stressed. A guy sat down last minute and grabbed a gun that squirted water. “Alright, is that all, all of em? All right, and go!” The guy with the microphone yelled. “Come on mutt!” Tereya yelled at me, jumping on my shoulders, making me miss. “Hey, do you want me to win or not!” I was tempted to squirt her. Because of that little set back, I lost, and the guy who sat down last minute won. He looked at Teerya. “Which one?” Her face lit up. “That one!” The guy was either a leopard or a cheetah or something, but either way, the guy was WAYYY older than my Tereya. He looked around his mid-twenty's. What was his plan for the day? To go out and hit on high school girls?
The guy pointed to what Tereya pointed to, then handed her her prize. Now she’s gonna make me carry it around all day, along with our lunches… “I’m Tereya. What your name?”

..Oh, HELL no! “He’s to old to be keeping our company, so we’re leaving.” I said grabbing her arm and attempting to haul her off. I say attempting because she stepped on me so hard I had to let go. “Oh yeah? And how old do you think I am?” I looked up from my foot and eyed him, wondering where I should hit or kick him. “Older than us.” Tereya rolled her eyes. She yanked my arm. “Mutt!” She hissed at me. “Sorry, one second, okay?” She asked him, her voice sounding so sweet it would of made me sick. “Look, you don’t know how to con people do you?” She asked me, bit of a ways from the guy now. I just looked at her a bit dumbly. She sighed heavily. “Look, were gonna blow more money that we have, using this guy, okay? More food, more rides, games, and other stuff, okay?” I looked back at the guy. Now I felt kind of bad for him. “So all I’m asking you- no, telling you to do is to quietly glare as I make him blow money on my cuteness, okay?”
Some part of me was screaming jealousy, while another was feeling pity on the poor guy, and another was laughing at him for being so dumb. She started walking back. “Tereya?” She stopped and walked back over to me. “Yes?” I eyed her chest and looked back up at her. “You know it’s ‘cuse of your chest right? The guy at the entrance was going to pretend to hit them, so that’s why…” She looked at me and sighed.
Not admitted. Just like a mother would to her kid that had eaten a snack that was intended for them, but not at that moment, and they had denied eating it, but it was all over their face and hands. “C’mere.” I raised an eyebrow. “Hm?” She waved me over again, now getting a little tensy bit agitated. I walked over cautiously. “Close your eyes.” I shook my head. “Nuh-uh.” She just gave me that “mom” look. She sighed. “Fine.” She kicked the ShHhIiTtt out of my shin. I hopped up and down on it for a minute as she walked away. “I was gonna close my eyes for THAT?!” I called. She turned around to me. “Nope.” Then blew me a kiss. Wait- did that mean- stop it Urusai. Not everyone is a yuri or out to get you. Get over yourself… Gawd!
“…So your name’s Taeru? It’s nice! And you’re a…?” He smiled at Tereya. “Leopard.” She gave him a big smile. “Cool. I’ve never meet a leopard before.” I glared at him- even thought which was what she wanted me to do, it was genuine.
He just looked at me, and then back to Tereya. “What her name?”

…Are you f’in’ kidding me?! I’m right here! I dare him to buy a drink without a top. I DARE him! “That’s ummm… crap! Haha-ha! I forgot!”
…Way to put a damper in my self-esteem, Tereya. He looked at me. I didn’t say anything. “Well?” He asked. “Well what?” I asked. “What’s your name?”
“Now THAT’S how you get someone’s name. You ASK them instead of STARING at them!” He eyed me a bit, then leaned down to Tereya. “Is she on her monthly or something?” He whispered to her. I swear I was going to fucking bite him. Tereya shrugged. “She’s usually like this when she’s not being my lap dog.” She giggled.

…That’s it. “I’m leaving!” I yelled, throwing my hands up in the air. I turned on my heel and started speed walking away from them. “Hey! Where do you think you’re going?” Tereya asked me. “Away from you two!” I yelled, not looking back at her and getting out my ipod. “Wait!” I heard her run up to me and grab my arm. “Let go of-”
“…Urusai…” I just stopped and looked at her. This was her was of being manipulative I just know it. I leaned down and whispered to her, “Then you better ditch him sooner than later.” She looked up at me and rolled her eyes. “What are you a dumb ass? Wait, yeah… Point being, I was going to drop him before the show. It’d be weird if he was staring at me the whole time. Let’s go, aho.”
One ax? $35
Duffie bag? $20
Plastic gloves? $7
Jail time? 10-34 years on account of first case murder (and possibly rape, but they don’t know that)
Peace of mind? Priceless
I put in my headphones and skimmed for something good to vent my pissed-off-ness with. I found “delete…enter” by Miku (Hagane) Hatsune.
A Vocaloid. Hagane’s stuff was good, while regular Miku just bothered me. She was so annoying!
Anyway, Tereya was now convincing the guy to buy us some more ride tickets, lying and saying we only had 25 for the day for both of us. It’s funny how fluent her lies sounded. He bought us both ten more tickets, and Tereya an extra five. (So in total, I had 22, and Tereya had 27 tickets) She then dragged us both to the food court and eyed what they had there. I checked the time. It was around ten-thirty. I would have to put up with this for another hour and a half.
Dear, nii-chan, mom, and dad,
I’m sorry you have to read this suicide note, but you can blame it all on Tereya. I entrust my music and video games to nii-chan, and everything else to mom and dad.
Remember, it was all TEREYA’s fault.
Yup. That sounds about right. Now, where can I find a pen and piece of paper? “Hello? Earth to space cadet?” I looked at Tereya who was in my face. “You can’t hear me over those headphones can you?”
“I can. I just chose not to.” She scowled at me then took out my headphones. “Look mutt, I’m getting tired of your attitude. I’ll call my father right now and tell him if you don’t cut it out.”
“What happened to no threats?”
“That was only if you were being a good lap dog, got it you dumb ass mutt?” I smiled. “there we go.” She looked shocked and confused. “H-Huh?” I put the headphones back in and changed the song. “I get worried when you don’t act like yourself.” For my sake anyways… >.> “I feel like your plotting something, so I like it better when your upfront with me about what you want. And if you really want me to listen, I suggest just doing what you usually do, because the “rewards” you talk about, make me a bit scared and not want to listen.” She just looked at me. “Wait right here, then when I come back start running, mutt.” I nodded. She went over to Taeru, got our lunches and her prize, whispered something in his ear, then started backing away slowly. She then turned and started sprinting. I realized he had his eyes closed and was counting.
Nice. Cliche, but nice. I turned and ran, taking the stuffed thing from Tereya to make it easier for her to run.
It was funny, because I had “Romeo and Cinderella” by the Kagamine twins playing, which sings about running away from a Romeo and Juliet type scenario, and longing for each other. (physically and emotionally.)
I heard Tereya laugh as she kept running. “I told him to count to one hundred, and if he trusted me to still be there and kept his eyes closed the whole time, I’d give him something! Ha-haha!” I laughed at that one too. Wow men are dumb. I looked and saw a maze house not to far. I gently pulled on her arm towards it. She slapped two tickets down as I continued running inside. “Can we leave our stuff here for a minute?” I asked the girl running the counter. She nodded as we dropped our stuff down.
We did a bit of zig-zaging and grabbing each other to go a different way, and whenever that happened, there was no, “No, I’m going this way” or “This way, mutt!” It was just “oh, switching ways I guess”. We didn’t actually say that, but you get the idea.
The maze was dark, and the walls were some deep shade of either black or red, and looked like they were covered in cloth. We reached a dead end, but I just ran to it and slammed my back against it, Tereya running into me intentionally. She giggled a bit as we tried to catch our breath. She buried her face in my neck as she breathed. “Hey. Do you think it’s weird for me to be nice sometimes? That it’s THAT out of my character?” I looked down at her. “No. It’s fine.” I moved some of her hair out of her face. She just looked at me. “Nee?” She waved me closer. I leaned down towards her. “Hn?” I felt her kiss my cheek, then whisper, “I’m having fun.” I let my head fall back and hit the wall with a loud thud, then slid to the floor with her. We sat there for a minute, doing nothing but catching our breath. “Good… That’s good…”
I didn’t freak out over the kiss because I knew something mean was going to come after it. It may not be in the same day, but it was coming. But still… It did feel nice… I cupped her chin and then put my forehead on her’s and closed my eyes. “Hey, can I ask you something?” I opened my eyes. “Sure. What?”
“Um… You can’t get mad, okay?” I pulled away a bit and nodded. “Well, we never actually talked about it, really, and I totally freaked out on you and probably made you feel like shit and all…” I tipped my head. “Hn?”
“Just-” She sighed. “Just promise you won’t get upset or anything?” I nodded. It was weird for her to ask me things like that. I wonder… “It’s about UsagiRita…” I sighed. Here we go again. “it’s just… well… I WAS there.. And all… You show thing… and my mind went on over load because you wouldn’t let me see you and I thought worse case scenario with UsagiRita, then she kissed you in front of everyone like you were her’s and… and…” I cut her off and kissed her. Even when it was this dark, I could see her face was red. “Your starting to hyperventilate. Calm down. Your stuck with me until you tell on me, okay?” She just stared at me. Were her eyes a bit welled up? I couldn’t tell. She burred her face in my shirt. “Nee? You know I’m selfish and greedy and things that are mine, I want them all to myself… right?” I nodded. “Yeah.”
“Well, I just get mad when I see something of mine being messed with by anyone else… Especially…” There was a bit of a pause. “Things I like a lot…” I hugged her. “And you have issues being honest, don’t you?” I felt her pinch me. “Ow!” She looked up at me and smiled. “Nee, if you were to describe me, what would you say?”
“Well, depends on who I’m telling, 'cuse anything good I might say, I’m afraid you might beat me up!” She giggled a bit. “Fine. Describe me to me.” I looked at her. “Cute, bitchy, a total Yandere character, a bit awkward at times, quiet about how she’s feeling, aggressive, warm, and taste like Eden apple.” She giggled. “So I’m a hot and cold character?” I shrugged. “I guess. How would you describe me?” She looked at me, then just kissed me- on the lips. My face heated. “Like a kiss.” I raised an eyebrow. “Huh?” She kissed me again. I swear if she doesn’t stop I’m going to pass out.
R.I.P. Urusai at age sixteen.
“Sometimes you can be gentle and submissive, other times you can be messy, or rough. You good at expressing how you feel when you don’t know how to say it, but you’re the type of person where what there feeling is all over their face most of the time.” She gently kissed me again. “The stuff you like to do usually needs more than one person,” She kissed me again, “And for some reason I like your straightforwardness too…” I felt her warm tongue slip into my mouth. I heard myself moan.
How could I not? This hot and sexy, cute thing was sitting on my lap sticking her tongue in my mouth. I gently nipped at her. “Nnhh…” She pulled away and stared at me. “…Do you think I’m weird?” I looked at her, licking a part of my lip where saliva was. “No. Why?” The “no” sounded a bit like a question. “Well… Remember when I said to pretend that one day in the office? Well, if anything, your more masculine than me, so do you think I’m weird for taking some initiative?” I shook my head. “No. People don’t know what your thinking, especially guys, so I think it’s good that you do.” She just nodded. “…I’m also sorry for being a bitch to you… I’m probably gonna do it tomorrow too…” I hugged her and stoked her hair. “It’s alright. You have your reasons. Besides,” I kissed her gently for a second. “It’s nice every now and then to have a treat like this.” Her face was red.
We sat there for a minute, then got up. “Alright. Let’s get out of here.” I felt her grab my hand and start walking. “Once we get out of here, you better let go.” I just rolled my eyes, not in a “omg your so annoying” way, but in a “up, she’s back again” way.
I know it’s odd, but I really did prefer her like that- for now anyway. If she could ever be nice and let it stay that way or even if she went back to being mean without adding a layer of extra evil, that’d be fine, too.
We FINALLY found our way out, and guess who was outside of the maze? Yup. Taeru. That annoying leopard. I saw Tereya tense up a bit. “And this is exactly why you don’t do bad stuff Tery. You’ll mess with the wrong person and this is what happens.” I whispered to her. “Lucky I got you here then, huh?”

…I know she is not going to make me take care of it, ‘cuse if she does, I’m so embarrassing her. “Well?” He asked. “Tery, I think he wants his prize.” I giggle whispered to her. She glared at me. “Fine, you give it to him.” She hiss-whispered back. I sighed and looked at him. “Alright Leopard boy. I promise the prize that she promised you will be good, you just have to go after alright?” He just looked at me with a raised eyebrow. I made a “wait” motion to Tereya as I walked over to Taeru. I motioned him to come closer. “You’re a guy. You like yuri right?” He just eyed me, but nodded. “Good!” I said, then danced back over to Tereya. “Nee, Tery?” She opened her mouth to protest me calling her that, but I cut her short with my tongue. Her face heated like the sun as she pushed away. “W-Wha…?” Taeu cut in. “Alright. I’m good. Bu-bye.” And with that I got him to leave.
Oh, Yeah! Uh-huh! That’s twice today I wo- Tereya kicked me. “Ow! What the-?”
“You deserved that!”
“Okay, could you do it after my mental victory dance?” She glared at me. “Victory of what?”
“Of keeping two guys off of you in one day…?” She kind of got scary again, so it ended up being a question. She sighed. “Next time, your not allowed to do that. Or that anytime in public for that matter!” I nodded as I rubbed my leg. “Alright let’s go on a few rides before the show starts.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had nothing in my stomach, but wanted to hurl. When I was little, I went on that thing where you sit in the chair and spin in the air, I screamed to get off 'cuse I felt it coming and everyone found it funny ('cuse they didn’t know why I was screaming like a banchi)- ‘till I puked on everyone.
“Ugh… Tereya, I’m gonna be sick…” I stood over another trashcan, dizzy from the last ride. Tereya had this big grin on her face that said she was enjoying my torment. “Great. Just don’t hurl on me. Now come on! The shows about to start!” She yanked my arm as hard as she could and hauled me off the the tents. I was grateful to be sitting, then Tereya made me buy us cotton candy and candy apples while I was still out of it. “But weren’t we supposed to NOT blow this money on food?” She rolled her eyes. “How do you expect me not to? We’re also buying fried dough later too- and lots of it!” My grandfather had once said, lose twenty pounds walking around, and gain thirty by eating all the crap they had here. Ah, well. I started munching on my cotton candy, and Tereya on her candy apple.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The show was interesting, and the lion tamer was hot. “Alright now we need two volunteers!” Tereya quickly shoved her candy apple in the plastic case, and raised my hand. “She’ll do it!” She yelled. “Do you two know watch other?” We both looked at each other and kind of shrugged. He waved us both down.
Tereya shrugged again and hauled me down on stage. “Now I’d like you to get one object out of this box that is the exact opposite of this person.” Tereya dove for the box and found a frilly, pink, princess hat. “Oh, Hell no I’m not wearing that.” The audience laughed at me. Tereya just gave me a look, like “betch, your gonna have to and you know it!” I had a hard time, seeing as Tereya was so bi-polar about herself. Then I found something. Make-up. I could make her look funny. She’s never really funny. She’s either sweet or evil. They I found a crazy looking out fit. That would be better. “Have you decided?” I nodded. Tereya made a face at what I picked. “You’ll blend right in.” I said to her. I could tell she was going to beat me later. “Alright. Now, I ask of you to put on the outfits. If you’d like, there’s a changing room in the hall there and I could do a little magic in the mean time.” Tereya yanked my arm. From what I could see of her face, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say she was smiling, but because I did, it was a smirk.
She shoved me into the room and her self after. “Now don’t get all hot and heavy over my underwear and bra.”
I turned and stuck my nose in the air. “Che…” But even so… My eyes couldn’t help wander…
They were pink and lacy… Nnnn… I discreetly shook my head and started stripping. I just had dark blue girl boxers on with a matching bra. I heard Tereya whistle. “Wh-What?” I asked.
She shook her head. “Nondemonai. It’s just odd to see a street dog can find a matching set.” Talking about my bra and underwear. “Well I think it’s odd that neko’s can’t ware any NORMAL stuff. It’s either lacy, sexy, or both.” Tereya approached me. Her bottoms were kind of on because it was a jumper. Were her underwear that low before? Kami-sama I think I’m drooling… She ran her fingers up my chest. “It’s also funny how you always look. Seeing as you said that, what are they this time?” I felt her push up against me. I have the urge to bleat like a sheep…
“Lacy, and you’re attempting the other one.” She tipped her head. “Oh? How so?” Push… Nnnn… “By…because… um, shouldn’t we hurry up?” I gently pushed her away by her shoulders. She looked at me for a second then laughed.

“I never thought I’d see the day you actually were in a rush to put on a dress! Ha-ha!” I felt my face heat as I messed with it. After a bit of fumbling, I got it on, but I couldn’t get the zipper. “I’m done, so you should hurry up.” She sat down on what looked like an oil drum. “I’m trying to get the zipper, so shut up!” She giggled at me and walked over. “I was gonna let you go out there with it backwards but-“
“It’s backwards?” She nodded. “Agh!” I stripped of it and put it back on- the right way this time. Just when I was about to zip it, Tereya wrapped he arms around me and placed her hand on the zipper, which was near my chest. “Now I’ll help you.” She said into my ear.
“I-I I can get it now…” She smirked at me. “Probably, demo…”
“But wha- Nnn!” She just bit my ear! Not like when we were fighting, but in a, “I wanna do you here and now” bite!
Holy shit!

I’m now 100% okay if I die. I felt Tereya zip the zipper, the entire time her hands on my chest and her soft lips on my ear. I wonder if she could feel my heart racing or my breath quickening… “There. Now let’s go.” She turned around and walked out, her hair wiping me in the face. I followed her out, my knees naturally bending inward because of the dress. We walked back into the stadium and heard a few snickers. I knew I looked ridiculous.

The dress was completely, and utterly pink with one of those retarded, pointed princess hats. Tereya had on a (left) half stripped and half (right) polka dotted jumper. The bas color was white. She also had a funky looking clip on earring that came with the outfit.
“Alright! Now! How is this not like you, uh, princess?” I could tell the magician wanted to laugh at me. I wanted to yell, “Uh, HELLO!!! Tomboy! Thinks she IS a boy! How ‘bout we do a comedy routine were I chance you and try to put YOU in a dress!” But sadly, in stead I said, “I’m a tomboy.” He nodded with an “mm-hm.” He then turned to Tereya and put the mic to her face. “And you?” She shrugged. “Don’t know. Asked her.” He turned to me. I think he was trying to see if he could shove the entire mc into my nose because it was waaaay to close. I pushed it away a bit then answered. “She pretty, but she’s evil! Evil is never funny!” Some people laughed at me. Tereya rolled her eyes. “Apparently you aren’t a stalker or you’d know I’m funny.” It looked like I had just heard up close what someone’s nose breaking sounded like. She rolled her eyes. “You want funny?” She bent into the box and grabbed the make up. “Any ideas?” I pointed to myself, a bit worried. She rolled her eyes, then shot her eyes over to the magician. My eyes grew wide, then my mind started whirring.
I thought, and kept thinking, but the only thing I could get was… “A five-year-olds mess.” She gave me a grin. “Go get out stuff real quick, ‘cuse we’re about to get kicked out.” No one could hear that except me. “Um, girls, could we start now? Hey! Where are you going?” I ran up to the stands and had all of out stuff in our hands. “Could you tell me, what was the point of this exactly? Dressing us up like doufuses?” I yelled to him, then tipping my head. “Wha…? Well, you see, as a magician, I was going to make you act the opposite of your usual selves…” I gaffed at him. No one ever really believed that crap anyway. “Oh, they were probably already pre-selected” or “it’s all part of the act, no point in raising my hand or anything”.
Tereya snatched the mic. “Alright everybody. We’re gonna show you that this isn’t part of an act or pre-selection or anything. They really do pick right out of the audience- and this time, that wasn’t the best idea. By the way, blame that idiot for not calling my funny.” I made a face at her. “*Saa,” She turned to the magician, and beccause he stepped back, I can only imagine the face she gave him. “Wh-What are you- wait, hold on!”
“Yeah! Wait!” I yelled, coming down the stairs. She sighed and turned to me. “What?” I looked at the magician. “What’re the magic words?”
“Um, for the trick, or…?” I nodded. “Flim-flam, shamalama bam…?” I smirked. Funny ryhm already thought of. “Okay. You can go now.” The magician backed away and ran. I ran after him. “Oh, what? You’re running from a girl in a princess costume? Really?” I slightly turned to the audience. “Do I really look scary?” They laughed, some probally thinking it’s seriously still part of the act. I ran him right into Tereya, who was picking up some of our things that I dropped and slapping them right back into my arms, all the while, still ready with the make-up.

I ran him right into Tereya, and they both fell, but Tereya recovered faster. She straddled him (Oh, god, I wish she’d do that to me…) and started going at it with the make-up. She giggled the entire time and fought his hands away. I danced around like an idiot singing in a crappy way, “Flim-flam, shamalama bam! Here’s the crappy magician man! He can’t do a show right, and can’t even fight off a girl with ALL of his might!” while soing a can-can. I had people howling, and they got even louder when Tereya was done. I burst out laughing.
He looked rediculous! It actually HELPED that he struggled. Oh, yeah. It was *ZETAINI a two year olds mess.

Tereya grabbed my arm and ran out with me. “Am I funny now?” I nodded, still running. I ripped the hat off of my head and tossed it behind me. We ran to the nearest bathroom, stripped, ran back out, tossed the clothes, and ran far away from the stadium, hoping we wouldn’t get kicked out. (Or atb least I did…)
We ended up near the rides, and Tereya grabbed my arm and pulled my onto on, having me toss our things. “Tickets!” Tereya tossed the guy our tickets. “Take what you need out of there and we’ll get ‘em later with the est of our stuff, Okay?” We sat down right as the safety things went down above our heads. She was still giggling, and I was out of breathe.
I let me head rest against the back of the seat and just breathed. Tereya grabbed my hand. “You alright? Don’t want the thing that holds all my stuff to get tired.” I rolled my eyes and squeezed her hand for a sec. “Fine. I’m in a better mood now.” She tipped her head. “You were in a bad mood?” I shruged and looked away as the ride started up. I felt her eyes still on me, then she looked away. Just before it started, I heard her mumble, “This entire time I didn’t even consider you not being honset with your feelings around me… It always just seemed like you threw youself out there, so it seems odd to me that you were faking to be okay, even if only for a minute…” I looked over at her as the ride started to tip us upside down. She looked a bit… sullen. Why? Not over me surely. But…

I realized I still had her hand. I intertwined my fingers with her’s, which made her look over at me. I opened my mouth, stuck out my tounge,
And screamed in her face shaking my head back and fourth, then laughed. “We’re on a ride, scream for gods sake! Don’t look like you wanna cry! Come one! I’m not good with that kind of thing! And besides..”
She looked at me funny. “And what?” She yelled over everyones screaming. I looked at her and then ride-screamed. Sje rolled her eyes, then squeezed them shut and screamed too.
In doing so, I felt her hand clutch mine.

…And besides… I don’t like seeing you sad…

“Aha! Ahh… This house smells like dog!” Tereya said, plopping down on my coutch. Sure enough, we got kicked out- only after we blew almost all of our tickets and I got her some more prizes. (A cick working at one of the prize games had a walkie and knew we were supposed to be out of here for that. She quietly called some lovely, brawly men on steroids to escort us out.)
I had nii-chan come pick us up. Her dad would of probally had a coniption, so we fugured we would just go back aoundthe time he was coming to pick us up, or just say it was fine and my brother could drive us.
“If you don’t like it, get out!” I playfully yelled at her, plopping down next to her. She sighed, but she still had a smile on her face. She had fun, even if she didn’t say it. Nii-chan sat down on the coutch acrossed from us with Sora. He sat on his lap and said something to Nii-chan I could make out, but Nii-chan’s reply was “No.”, simply and kindly. “Sorry. You guys probally had plans, huh?” I said. Sora looked at me abit funny and shook his head. “Not really. We were just gonna watch a movie or something. Nothing big. I mean, Ty picked me up in my pajamas! I freaked out! Haha!” I smiled. Sora could be so cute sometimes.
It was quiet for a moment, then Tereya said, “It must be nice…” I looked at her. “What?” She nudged her chin to my brother and Sora. They were just staring at each other and cuddling. I looked back at her. Her eyes were full of loning. She really did want that…

“Um, should we eat now?” I asked her. She snapped out of her tranceand nodded. “Y-Yeah. Um, where’s you kitchen?” She asked standing up. I got up and looked through our things for our probally beat up lunches. “You can eat in here.” I found them and turned back to her. “What if I make a mess?” I handedher lunch to her saying, “And that’s why you won’t.” Her face became tinted with pink as she took it and sat back down. “Y-You sure?” I nodded and sat next to her then turned on the tv. “You guys want the remote, or…?” Nii-chan shook his head. “No. Sora said we were going to watch a movie, but does it really look like we’d pay any attemtion to the movie?”
“I guess not.” He nodded to me, then looked back at Sora. I offered Tereya the remote. “Why don’t you just put in the move they weer going to watch and we’ll watch that. It’s better than channel surfing, then only finding one episode of a thing you like, then goning back to channel surfing.” I shrugged and got up and dug through our movie collection. “It’s under the table, Uru.”
“I guess I should go over to the tabl ethen huh?” Nii-chan nodded, with a, “well, duh, dipshit” look on his face. I grabbed the movie and popped it in, working the from the tv set. “Oh, wow! Our lunches are dead.” I looked over at Tereya’s lunch in her lap. “Wasn’t that bacon already dead?” She laughed a bit. “You know what I mean.” I smiled at her. “Yeah, but sometimes it’s funny to be stupid.” She looked at me. “SOMETIMES.” I smiled and then redirected my attention to the dvd player. “Ty darling, it’s cold.” Sora said. Nii-chan got up with Sora in his arms and went blanket hunting. “Oh! While your hunting for the legendary big one, do you think you could get me the legendary fluffy two set one that buttons down in my top drawer?” Nii-chan nodded. “Will I need a mechete or an m45?” I shook my head. “Bazooka.” He nodded with an, “ah” motion, then went to go get me my pajamas. Tereya looked at me funny. “What? He’s blanket hunting, so I figured he could get me my pajamas. Like Sora said, it’s cold!”
“Well what happens when we have to go back?”
“We got bored and called my brother because we didn’t want to bother your dad. Good enough?” She shrugged. “So what are we watching?” I tossed her the movie case. “Ah. Is it one of those movies where everyone dies except the two people who every thins should be together, even though it’s a slasher flick?” I shrugged. “Probally. Never seen it. But isn’t it funny now a days how they can incorperate romance into to horror films?” She nodded. “One time, I spacifically huntewd down movies like that and made a list. I’m still working on it, but right now I have over 130 movies on the list.” I whistled. “Wow. Well now you have over 131.” She laughed slightly, then said, “Baka.” I smiled lightly and sat back down. “Alright! Time to eat my twice dead over bacon!” I said, putting my fists into the air, then using them to eat. We got about fifteen minutes into the movie before Nii-chan and Sora finally came back. “Took you long enough. God!” I said, snatching my pajamas from Nii-chan. He hand one hand over his mouth and was blushing and avoiding eye contact, while Sora was holding the blanket with both hands, but for everythin else he was doing the same. I made a face like someone just told me our basement had just flooded with shit for the 8th time. (Never actually happened though.) “Oh, please tell me it wasn’t in my bed…” Sora quickly shook his head. “N-No… We were screwing around with the blanket and-“
“DON’T wanna hear this!” I yelled, coverign up my ears. Tereya some how ended up lounging on my coutch and had her face in her hand and said, “I do.” Sora blushed. “You don’t have to tell me everything, but I was just wondering what exactly happened.” I gave her a face. “Tereya! Noooo~~~!” She smirked. “What? I wanna know. It is a problem that I’m a fujoshi?”
“N-No, but… That’s my brother, so it’s gross to hear that!”
“Then cover your ears!”
“What do you think I did!” She got up, covered my ears, and looked at Sora, who bashfully mouthed, “blowjob…” I screamed and ran upstairs yelling, “Ew, Ew, Ew, Ew!” I heard Tereya laughing hysterically. I shuddered. I burried myself under my blankets and whimpered. “Ewww….. Nnn-hhnnn…” I felt someone rap on my head. “knock, knock.” I looked out from under the covers at Tereya. She smiled at me a bit. “Here. Your pajamas.” I took them from her and started to change under the covers. “Huh. Dja-v.” She said as she pulled the covers down. My top was off, and my pj bottoms were on. I looked up at her and blushed at bit. “Sorry…” She leaned in close to me and let her forehead rest on mine. “I had fun… Thank you…” My face was hot. “It wouldn’t of been if I had to carry all that stuff, or if I didn’t get that much money! Man! Do you know how many things you got me! Ha!” She said, looking back at me smugly. I grabbed her face and pulled her close to me. “Stop that.” I said. Her face changed color. “S-Stop what?” She tried to laugh it off. “That. Whenever your being nice, you try to cover it up. You did that when I spent the night at your house, too. Please stop it…” I said, shaking my head. I looked at the bed sheets and asked, “Is it that hard… For you to Open up to someone…? …For you to open up to me…?” I stayed like that for a minute, then looked up at her.

I wonder what’s going through her head right now. Her eyes were wide, and her face was red, and she looked like she was about to cry. She opened her mouth, and her answer… Wasn’t what I expected.
“Yes…” Her voice shook. I looked at her directly, and a bit shocked, and she looked away. “Why?” She bit her soft pink bottom lip and still avoided eye contact. I cupped her chin in my hand and made her look at me. “…It’s easier… For you to just boss me around and cover it up isn’t it? I’ll let you do that for now, but I’m letting you know now, it’s not always going to be like that. One day I’ll get you to open up to me and spill all of your secrets to me. And I mean that.” Then before she could say anything, I quickly kissed her.

Today, she tasted like the caramel apple she had a very long time ago…

Chapter 5

Title: Happy Endings Only Happen In Fairy-Tales; Chapter 12

[Author's notes: Alright! It has been edited! lol wnjoy the correct spelling! lol]

I stare up at my white ceiling. It was late. REALLY late. Or in that case, should I say early? I had my headphones in, playing music. "Incomplete, hysterical, typical reaction. I can't get over, over, over you..." I mouthed. I was tired, but I got woken up by a certain couple in the other room. It didn't matter if I banged on my wall- which was also Nii-chan’s- or his door, or yelled at them, nothing worked.
Then, my mind started to wander... She'd probably be pissed if she knew I was thinking things like that about her... But I couldn't help it. Thought's of her usually occupied my mind now... Her hands were really soft when I help then on that ride... If that's just her hands then...
...
...
... "Nnn..." God I'm such a pervert... And her lips... God when I got like this I just have the urge to devour her, although I'd never really do it, 'cuse she'd kill me. The thoughts were enough though...
Her lips always taste like fruit. I bet you a million she'd taste good else were... And there so soft too... Kissing elsewhere... "Ah!" I clamped my hand over my mouth and waited a minute. I tried to catch my breathe. I think it's 'cuse I was tired and was forced to listen to "that" and she was on my mind when I fell asleep. The song changed and my headphones sang a line that fit me pretty damn well right now. "When everyone is sleeping, are you sleeping, wishing I was there?" Hell yes...
"Nhhh... Ah!" I bit my lip and mumbled her name. "Tereya..." My pulse was racing like crazy, and my chest felt tighter than hell. My fingers were sticky and wet. I got up and went to the bathroom. I washed my hands and the inside of my thighs. I went back to my room, changed my girl briefs, then went back to bed. (Still had to keep the headphones in though.) I fell asleep thinking about her in cute pink lingerie in a sexy pose with her finger in her mouth. As much as people hate to admit it, our fantasy's are really dirty...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"...You took more than I'd ever offer you." I sang. My headphones were in and I was driving to school on my bike and it was getting colder out, meaning we'd be using the car and not our bikes. I was more tired than a sloth- and they slept almost the entire day everyday and barely moved when they were awake. "Ugh..." I parked my bike in the parking lot and went up the stairs. In the cafeteria, Tereya was sitting with lots of people around her- mainly cats. Male cats. Hot, sexy, male cats. Who were flirting with her. As much as I wanted to walk over there and do... SOMETHING what exactly would I do? Point: Nothing. I sighed and went to go grab myself some breakfast. My pulse decided to speed up once I walked by her, Nice. Real smooth internally. I grabbed the breakfast pizza and a juice. I opened it to sip and- which wasn't smart.
One of the cats decided to trip me and make everything go ever where. "Haha! Aww! Poor puppy. You need a paw?" One of them said. I simply looked at Tereya discreetly, then got up. She was laughing, then, it kind of faded away once I looked at her. "Look you pissy kitty, before you go tripping the pit-bull, make sure it's on it's leash or it's gonna whoop your ass."
"Ohh, so scared." I had the serious urge to beat this cats ass. I grabbed him up by his shirt. "I'm not fucking kidding. Say one more smart mouthed thing and you'll lose a few teeth, I'll make sure of it." The neko opened his mouth, but before he could say anything, I felt small delicate arms wrap around me. "Please! Urusai, please!" My face heated. "Sasami." She had her face buried in my back. "Please! Don't fight! I'd be sad if you got suspended or kicked out, so please..." She looked up at me with big pleading eyes. My pulse raced. She was so ridiculously cute I...
I let go of the jack-asses shirt. "Aww! Cute! You get bossed around by people younger AND meeker than you! How adowabwe!"
"You sound like a fucking idiot." I said. I WAS gonna leave it at that but... "Yeah. I fucked you so hard last night so you would know. Then I went and treated Tereya like a princess." He said, kissing her hand.
"Who would want to do that with someone who everyone knows has AIDS?" I said. The guys "ooo"ed like the retards that they were, "Alright you bitch," He said standing up. "Josh, please sit back down." Tereya said. "That's you name? Well here, JOSH. This is a poem I just made up for you:
Jacking by himself
Orgasm wanting
Sucking on men
Neanderthal."
Sasami's eyes were wider than alien saucers. I felt my breath get cut short as he punched me in my ribs. He yelled something I couldn't make out because my ears were ringing. My blood was hot. I growled like a wolf.
I'm telling you now, when wolves growl, it's not the same as when a dog does it. It’s full of blood lust and it's an "I'm gonna rip you apart limb from limb and eat even your bones" growl. Inu's just tend to scare people. ookami's make people run like hell.
I felt Sasami back up. I WAS a purebred, but I was a breed that was closer to the wolves than regular dogs.
"H-Hey, mutt, calm down." Tereya said. I could tell she was getting scared too. "Don't worry, she's probably getting scared," I jacked Josh up again, only this time, lifted him off of the ground. "You ever talk about that neko over there liked she'd EVER sleep with you, and I swear to god- no, not just god, I swear to her, I will make you regret it. I'll let your mind wander with what I'm going to do." I dropped him flat on his ass and stormed off. I ended up going right to the nurse. At first, I headed out to the front door, then the pain stated to kick in. I had used the wall to hold me up.
Dear god, don't let anything be swollen. I don't want to die like that kid off of "*Jigoku Shojo".
"Ita..."
"Urusai?" I jumped to turn around, and winced. "You okay?" Sasami ran up to me. "Don't move. Come on. Let's go to the nurse."
"You okay? What happened?" The nurse asked. "Got punched. Josh. Neko." The nurse sighed. "I'll tell an administrator." She got up and pressed the office button. "Office."
"Um, yes. We need someone to go get Josh Fenedenza, he punched a student in her torso area." The nurse kept on talking for a minute, but Sasami started talking to me instead.
"Here. Take off your shirt and I'll have a look at it." I took off my shirt. She tenderly touched where he hit me. "Tiiisss!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I shook my head and gripped the side of the chair. "'T's fine... Kind of hurts to breathe though..." She got up and walked over to the bandage cupboard. "These ones right?" She asked the nurse. "Yup. I'll be right back. I have to go to the office to report that. There's also some medicine you should put on it. It's in a clear container and it's green and thick looking. It may burn, but it'll work, okay?" Sasami nodded. I heard her fiddling around in a cupboard and came back. "Where exactly...?" The nurse asked, using her hand to motion a full circle on the side of her torso. "Right side, on my ribs." She nodded then left.
"Got it." Sasami said. Her arms looked full, but only because she was so tiny.
"Here. Do you think you should lift your bra a bit. I nodded. "Just a bit. Only 'cuse it hurts there." Sasami started applying the medicine to where it was swelling. I gasped and clenched down on my teeth. "I'm sorry! Here! Uh," Sasami got up and ran around before she found cotton balls. "Here!" I reluctantly opened my mouth and bit down on them. Usami started rubbing more medicine onto my side. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
The nurses door opened and Tereya walked in and saw Sasami mending me up. "I was wrong to be worried, because apparently you're fine." She said and stormed out. "Tereya!" I said, spitting out the cotton.
I went to go stand up, but my side hurt too much. I ended up having to sit back down. Sasami got up and ran after Tereya for me. After a minute or two, she came back with her. Tereya was glaring at her and me. "Please? See? It's swollen, so she's not okay."
"Point? She's taken a worse beating." She hissed. Yeah, in my heart.
Jeezus... Just when things are going good, SOMETHING has to happen to interrupt it!
"She doesn't have to stay Sami-chan." Sasami looked at me with wide eyes. "Yes, but... but..."
"But what, UsagiRita?" Sasami whipped around and got into Tereya's face. "BUT it's partially your fault she's hurt!" Tereya flinched, and even took a slight step back. "H-How's that my fault she's an idiot." Sasami was now glaring at her. "You know what, you don't deserve someone like her. She's way to good for a... for a BITCH like YOU!"
...
...
...
I think Tereya stopped breathing. Under any other circumstances, I'd gladly give her mouth to mouth but...
"...So what exactly are you then? You clingy little brat." Sasami visibly flinched. She was quiet for a moment, then said, "...I'm better to her than you are. Forget it. You can leave if you want to. Not like you have a heart to care enough if she's hurt or not."
Eesh! Sparks- no wait, raw flames emanated from both of them. "Uh, guys?"
Sami-chan quickly let her malice drop and she turned her attention to me without a second of hesitation, Tereya on the other hand...
Whelp, I have a feeling we won't be watching another movie together again soon. "I'm sorry. We're not supposed to fight around an injured person."
I thought it was a sick person... Ah, well. That's part of the reason why Sasami was so cute. "It's a sick person you idiot air-head." Sasami ignored her. "Here. I'll finish putting this on where you got hurt. I think it's getting worse."
"Wow you really are dumb. If it's getting worse, you call an ambulance. Her ribs could be busted or the cartilage might start to swell. Don't you take health? God..." Tereya started to walk out of the room and wiped out her phone. Sasami looked at me in a sad manner. "...I'm sorry... I should of-"
"It's fine. If I wasn't scared of her hitting me in me in my ribs, then I wouldn't of let her." Sasami just stared at me.
"...That's exactly why she's no good for you, and your to good for her. You don't want trouble, but she only causes it." I patted her head. "It's okay. She's trying in her own way. She has a problem opening up is all." Sasami stared at me again, then quickly and gently kissed me. "...It hurts... How nice you are to her... And how she treats you..." I stroked her hair. "It's okay Sami-chan." She shook her head. "No! It's not! Sh...She..." Her eyes were welled up. I gently hugged her. "Oh, please don't cry... Please..."
"Okay, two year old in a bigger body. Move so I can help her outside. Get dressed, mutt." Sasami wrapped her arms around my neck and glared at Tereya. "I'll do it. I'LL be gentler."
"Well in order to get your mutt house broken, you need to order them around and have them understand your the boss. If they don't listen, then they sleep outside." Tereya pushed Sasami away from me and started attacking me with my shirt. "Ow-! Tereya!"
"SHUT UP!" I flinched. "...Just shut up..." Her bangs covered her eyes and she seemed to be putting in on gentler. "Be gentle!" Sasami said to Tereya. "I could be rougher, how's that?" Sasami shut up after that.
It was quiet for a moment.
"Why don't you go see if the ambulance is here yet." Tereya said breaking the silence.
"And leave you alone with Urusai? No way." Tereya glared at her. "Oh my god! Stop it!" I yelled the best I could at both of them. I made my voice gentler and turned to Sasami. "Sami-chan, please? I can fend for myself, I promise. I'm a big girl. Please? It'd make it easier for me." I felt bad because I knew I was playing her like a harp. (Not that I can really play one, but you get the point.) She looked a bit sad, but none the less nodded and left to go check. Then I turned to Tereya. "And you, can you make up your mind? Either your in here, or your out of here. You don't have to fight with Sami-chan either. I'd much prefer if you'd just glare at her or something. She's sensitive."
"Oh, and I'm not?" She looked up at me and her eyes were welled up and threatening her to overflow. I opened my mouth like a fish out of water. I didn't know what to say.
"Tsh. "Please, Sami-chan, don't cry!" What do I get? A goddamn fish motion. I'm outta here then. Happy? I picked." I grabbed her wrist. "Wait, I'm sorry... I'm just not used to seeing you cry-"
"I am not crying you damn, forsaken mutt!" Even as she said that, her voice cracked. She didn't turn around to face me, either. "I'm not..." I heard her hiccup. I stood up and wrapped my arms around her: One on her hip, one right under her chest.
"Okay, you not." She shook her head, then put her hands over mine. "...A...And what would you do if I did cry? Not now, but... You know..." I slightly tightened my grip on her. "It depends on if you'd let me..."
"Say I would, what would you do...?" I nuzzled her neck. "I'd hold you, wipe away your tears, and if you wanted, let you cry some more. It's not good to hold it all in, so I'd let you, but I'd catch ever last one." It was quiet for a second, then she said, "...Well you're missing some..." Then her shoulders started to shake. She turned around and I sat down with her. I stroked her hair. "It's okay..."
She forcefully kissed me. The sharp intake of breathe that I took in hurt. She pulled away, but stayed in my face. "Your mine, you got that?" Her tears were gone, but her eyes were still red. I could do nothing but breathe in agony and confusion. After she got the fact that I wasn't replying, she said, "I'll stop by either at your house or the hospital to apologize more formally."
"A-Apologize...?" Like the first time we kicked each other's asses?
...
I fully understand the term love hurts.
I fully understand why women stay with men that hit them.
When you could have something so sweet, yet you stay with the one that hurts you...
You feel as though you know them
That's why, in fairy-tales, it's so perfect.
Prince saves the damsel in distress, they live happily ever after. She's happy, he's happy. They get married right away, everything’s all good...
In real life, you have to get to know the person, you have to date, he has to be polite, you have to be lady like, if your family's evil, he's not really gonna wanna go meet them, yet alone truthfully stay with you...
But in those worlds, there's no such thing as a girl crushing on another girl, or a boy kissing another and THEM living happily ever after, yet alone existing in stories like that...
That's why...
That's why...
I'd much rather go through the ordeal... It's proof that you really care for the person... Proof that you truthfully love them.
So I'll deal. Whether it's her yelling at me, or whispering to me.
Whether it's her hitting me, or hugging me.
I'll go though it, because getting hit by a with a ton of bricks over a crush isn't that bad.
Getting hit with love by a 18 wheeler is VERY different. Especially when she's driving it.
As much as I truthfully love fairy tales, their [truthfully] nothing but bullshit.
Chapter 6
Title: Dance On The Stage Of Memories; Chapter 13
[Author's notes: Okay, Editing all done! Enjoy! lol]
Well, I was admitted into the hospital with two fractured ribs and really bad swelling. (I guess it's a good thing Tereya did that then, huh?)
Nii-chan called mom and dad and told them, they scolded me over the phone, and their glad I'm okay, and blah, blah, blah. Sasami cried for a bit, then her parents had to come pick her up.
Tereya... Well she just helped me into the ambulance then went to class. But the entire time she had the, "Your mine, bitch" look on her face.
It truthfully wierded me out. Well, now I was in recuperation.
NOT
FUN
Boring-as-hell-in-a-bland-room is what they should call it. I couldn't have any electronics or it might mess up the machines. Meaning: No ipod, no laptop, no DS, no PSP, no radio, no nothing. I was never much of a reader, which is what they suggested, and as much as I loved to sleep, I much preferred it in my own bed on my own time.
I
WAS
BORED
I sighed as I stared at the ceiling. "...So bored..."
"Well maybe this'll cheer you up. You have a visitor." The nurse said, poking her head into my room. It was probably Sasami. The cutie came to see me everyday. She always made me perk up. I sat up as quickly as I could, ignoring the pain.
"Expecting someone else?" A blonde neko said.
"T-Tereya?" She slipped in and shut the door behind her. "I got a look at who visit's you. It's mainly UsagiRita and your brother. Highly doubt you get excited over your brother, so you must of thought I was UsagiRita, right?" I bit my bottom lip. She laughed slightly and shook her head. She plopped down in a chair and just stared at me.
It was awkward because I didn't know what to say.
"...So my mom wanted to know where my necklace was to get it shined up."
I almost died. "Wha-"
"But I told her I lost it, and I'd look for it. She wanted to kill me." I leaned back into the bed and sighed. "Your in for it. Your parents are coming back soon too right?" I nodded. "Well your just fucked, aren't 'cha?" I looked at the white, plastic strip on my wrist. Tereya got up and grabbed my wrist. "I'm up here. Look at me, not your plastic medi-bracelet." W-why was she this close to me? Her breathe reminded me of tropical fruit this time.
"If you want a kiss you should beg, mutt."
"Well your mean as ever. Although I don't think I can get on my knees in my position." She gawffed at me. "So you would." I half-heartedly attempted to nip her. I could hear my teeth click together. "I never said I'd beg. Getting on my knees is something entirely different." She somehow was on top of me now, almost strattling me, her hand still holding my wrist. "Well aren't you the mutt that's been rolling around in dirt?"
"Now I know I've told you I'm not a mutt." She licked the side of my face, then got off. "Well, when your feeling better, you can beg for that kiss and NOT attempt something else. I'll be leaving now. I lied and said I was my mother. Don't need them finding that out." My turn to grab her wrist. "What? Now I'm gonna really smell like dog." I looked at her, then let her wrist go. She stared at me. "Nani?" I shook my head. "Your just really pretty is all." She looked at me funny, then left.
I could of sworn I heard her mumble, "You too, baka..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was disadmitted - don't know if that's a real word, but it is in my dictionary. Along with shweet, and other crap. Either way! I was disadmitted from the hospital, and nothing really interesting happened in the mean while. It had gotten colder out and there was frost on the grass in the mornings now. Today was one of the days I had to go pick Tereya up.
The faint traces of snow crunched beneath my feet. October was over, meaning so was Halloween. I hadn’t dressed up for the past three years. Even if I had, I wouldn’t of know what to go as.
I heard Tereya clear her throat and tap her foot. Attention maybe? Or at least I hope I wasn't late this time...
I pursed my lips to suppress a giggle. Tereya looked so CUTE! She had one of those joker hats on, only it was all pastel blue and had white pom-poms where there would be bells. It matched her button down coat that reached her knees and mittens too.
"I guess I was right to tell you to come at an earlier time, because this makes you on time, because your always late." I gave her a sheepish look. "Sorry. I still haven't gotten how long exactly it would take me to get from your house to mine. Forgive me?" She rolled he eyes and walked down her stairs and started walking past me. "What's up with your trench coat, by the way?" I looked at my black leather coat and gloves. "What's wrong with it?" She rolled her eyes. "You look like the undead. At least get it in a different color."
"But in the winter time it's good to wear dark colors, and black does something like attract the sun and make you hot so..." I stopped my rambling, seeing as she wasn't paying attention.
"You know how we're having that mix of a Halloween and winter dance next week right? The masquerade one?" I looked at her. "N-No..." She sighed and sipped her silver, lidded cup.
(Where'd that come from? Ah well. She probably had it before but I was too busy staring at her to notice.) Either way...
"Well, they did it like that so people could dress up and not look like sluts. Point is, I want a date." I almost choked- and I can't even say on spit because my mouth was dry. "W-With who?"
"Some hot guy. I've been busy, so I can't get one for myself, so you're gonna do it for me." I walked for a second and listened to the thin snow crunch. "...So, what do you want him to be like?" She shrugged. "How would you want a guy? You wouldn't want an ass who wouldn't pay attention to you or flirt with other girls, nor try to get in your pants the entire time." I nodded. "So, I want somebody who's going to pay attention to me, he's gotta be hot like I already said, act like a gentleman- the entire time, and will pick me up and take me home." I nodded, acknowledging her, but my mind was else where. I heard her, but wasn't comprehending.

...A date...

I was finding someone for MY Tereya.

Oh, god... If I had a week stomach, I think I'd vomit. "...Okay..."
"Don't forget it's next week, Saturday." I nodded again and continued to walk, numb-
and not from the cold.
"Oh! Almost forgot. You can't go."
"What?!" Why in the hell does this feel like Cinderella?
"Why not?"
" 'Cuse I said so."
I scowled at her. "And if you don't go and set me up with an ass, I swear I'll tell what you did to my necklace, AFTER I kick your ass."

So, Monday, no date for Tereya.

Tuesday, no date for Tereya.

Wednesday, Sami-chan asked me. I had to say no, which sucked because she was so cute and nervous. Her face blushed the entire time.

Thursday, I got sick.
I was standing over the sink- if you could call it standing. I was so dizzy, I looked like KOS-MOS from Xensoaga when her health was low. I had a cold water running for a washcloth. Nii-san came out of his room dressed for school. "Hey Uru." He said, going to the fridge.
"Hi..." He looked up at me, eyes wide, expression reading something like, "did that cat just get raped by a fire truck? What the fuck? How...?" "Uh, woah. You sound like a straight guy." I looked over at him. "You do to, miss." He closed the fridge after retrieving a drink straight out of the juice container. "Funny. You alright?" I shook me head. "No. I feel like crap." He walked over and patted my head.
"Stay home then. Get out of your uniform and go rest- you need it."
I shook my head, which made me dizzy. "I can't. I have to find a date for Tereya. I was getting no sleep and stressing over a it, which is probably why I got sick. You know, for the masquerade thing-y?"
He nodded. "Oh, yeah. You going? I usually go to stuff like that with Sora."
"O-oh. No..." He raised an eyebrow. "Why? You like stuff like that, right?" I couldn't tell him that Tereya said I couldn't, because then I'd have to explain why I listened to her like she ruled with an iron fist. So, when you can't tell the truth, what do you do?

You lie.

"W-well, I don't have an outfit or a date, and I'm busy looking for one for Tereya, so..." He sat down at the table and put his jaw on the table. He popped his jaw several times at random. He did that when he was thinking.
Weird right?
At least it's better than people who are so engrossed in their thought's that they pick their noses...
Engrossed... Funny word...
Anyway, I sat down acrossed from him and put the washcloth to my forehead. After a minute or two, Nii-chan took the washcloth from me and said, "Well, you better stay sick then."
"...Wait, what? Why?" He gave me a cocky smile. "Well, do you hear yourself? You sound like a guy. You could be Tereya's date. Problem solved. You both have dates. She won't know it's you because you'll have a mask on." True, but... "Well, I don't have an outfit. Or a mask." He ruffled my hair. "I could make you one and Sori can make you an outfit."
Oh, no. No, no, no, no!
"Y-yeah, but, uh-"
"Or do you not wanna be a prince?" I stopped my protesting.

A prince... someone who could protect his princess and keep her safe, someone who would do anything for her...
...Someone who still needs to keep his promise.
I sighed. "Fine. I'll sketch what I want Sori to do out on the front porch."
"Alright. Just don't give yourself hypothermia. Oh, and don't let Tereya hear you. If she calls, come get me and I'll get it. And if your going as a guy, get a GUY name."
"Okay, grandma." He rolled his eyes and went upstairs to get his bag.
A guy name?
"A guy name like what?" I yelled the best I could from the front door.
"I don't know! You think of something! It'll be YOUR guy name!" He yelled back.
Ugh... Fine.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I was done I called Sori- er, Sora and He said he'd be right over. Yeah, that's right. Sora's skipping school to make me an outfit; what's that say about him?
Nii-san was at school, and I was still waiting for Sora.
The outfit I drew was a two piece set; pants and a long sleeved button-down shirt.
It was all white except for gold coloring here and there, like on the buttons, collar, rim of the pants, and shoulder tassels. "I know I'm asking for a lot in like, two three days, but-" Sora rolled his eyes.
"Look, If I can make a Dark Mousy cosplay, along with a Risa and Riku cosplay from D.N.Angel in a bit more than two and a half days, I'm pretty sure I can make yours, so problem, okay? Don't stress it. Cloth making is one of my specialties."
I smiled. Sora was such a good person. "Thanks, Sora." He nodded. "What's it for- if you don't mind me asking."
"Oh. The, uh, masquerade thing-y. Nii-san wanted me to go." Sora nodded, eying over my sketch. "I'm debating whether I want to go in a dress or not. So..." Sora glanced at me, then back at my sketch. "Wh-what?" Sora smirked. "Is your date a cutey?" I felt my face go bright red. "W-wha...?"
Sora giggled. "I'm just asking." He said, playful smile on her face. "Is she cute or not?"
"H-how'd you know it was a girl?" Sora rolled his eyes. "Well, let's see, your outfit is a boy's, your sick and sound like a boy, and I highly doubt that you'd be going with a boy like that, tomboy or not, Uru-chan."
!
Wait! "...You guys... you guys always just use the first part of my name." Sora blinked. "Yeah, so?" I smiled.
"I'm Sai, hajimemaste."
Sora smiled back. "Nice to meet you, Sai. Well I'm going to go home and work on your outfit, okay?" I nodded as Sora headed for the door. "Bye, Sori!" I called in my raspy voice. I heard him laugh. "Bye, Sai!" He hollered back in his unisex voice.
I went into my room and grabbed a blanket, then went back out on the porch. I-was-FREEZING.
I wanted to stay sick, not freeze to death.
Thursday, evening; I found a date for Tereya.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had Nii-san call Tereya Friday and tell her I found her a date named Sai. He fit her requirements and would come pick her up. Mom and Dad wouldn't trust me with their car, but Nii-chan wasn't telling, and nor was I, so. I felt like vomiting- and not from being sick either.
For some reason, I kept thinking it was a date, and I had to remind myself it wasn't.
Just for the record, as good as pizza is, coming back up, nooott so much.

Saturday, day of the masquerade. Sori came wicked early. (If I didn't know any better, I'd say she stayed the night- AGAIN.) I was still sick with a sore throat, so I still sounded like a boy.
She had asked Nii-san to sit tight on the couch while she helped me out.
We had to flatten the mildness of boobidge that I did have.

The mask Nii-san made me fit great with the outfit. (Sori must of told him what the outfit was like.) The mask was all white with the exception of dark blue gems (like sapphire and a few others) and one or two small diamonds adorning the sides in sort of a vine like pattern. (He used them from previously broken jewelry that me or mom had.) It only covered the upper half of my face, which I liked.
Sori had token the liberty of getting me some pure white, knee high boots, and said as long as she got to take pictures of her awesomeness on me, I didn't have to pay her back for them. (I was still going to, though.)
She helped me put my hair back into a ponytail and made sure it wouldn't frizz like it usually did.
My boots clunked a bit as I headed downstairs. Nii-chan whistled. "Who are you and what have you done with my sister? I mean, I do enjoy having a little brother, but I kind of liked my little sister too- kind of."
"Don't make me kick you." I said, showing off the boots. He put his hands up in surrender.
"What do you think? Is it alright? Do you like it Uru-chan?" Sori asked. We couldn't tell if the first few questions were also for me, or for Nii-chan, or for me and Nii-chan, so we both answered.
"I love it Sori. I'm glad the measurements from last time hadn’t changed much." She nodded. "Like I said," Nii-chan said. "I have a brother. You did a great job, Sori." He said, and got up and pulled her down into the couch with him. He leaned in for a kiss and Sori blushed.
I sang, "yaoi!" The best I could, which sounded like a guy who could sing. (I really should record something after this with my voice like this.) Nii-chan waved me off as he kissed Sori. I saw tongue.
"Eww. Guys, I think you just made me a full-fledged yuri." Nii-chan smirked and slid his hand up the back of Sori's shirt. She squealed, then moaned a bit. "Dear, gawd! I'm so outta here!" I said, grabbing the car keys and my coat. (Sori made that too. T'was also white- and awesome I might add.)Nii-chan pulled away for a second. "Take your time coming back." I turned around and tipped my head. "Aren't you two going too?"
Nii-chan smirked. "I said I USUALLY go with Sori. Didn't say I was this time." Sori giggled, leaned into Nii-chan and playfully smacked him.
All I could do was stare with an "oh my gawd, eww" look. I turned around and opened the door, saying "Thanks, Sori." I heard her muffle something like, "You're welcome."

Just as I was about to turn on the car, my phone rang. "Hey, mutt, it's me. Can you tell Sai that my parent's decided to drive me instead? If you don't have his number, I'll kill you." She sounded nervous. I made my voice as high as I could. "Mm-hmm."
"Okay, and I better not see you there, or else!" Click, beep, beep, yeah you get it: She hung up on me.
Of course not my dear Tereya. You won't see ME there. You'll see Sai though.
I had attached the car key Nii-chan gave me to my keychain so I wouldn't lose it. The keychain had only one other attachment besides keys; a small, plain, silver ring with a cheap knock off of a diamond. It was the perfect size for a small child's finger.
I stared at it for a moment, thinking of her.
I gently kissed it and whispered, "Wish me luck." And put it in the ignition.
I said a line of another Automatic Loveletter song as I put in their cd. "...Your stuck in the moment when you thought you were rolling..." Then sighed.
In truth, I felt kind of guilty going out with anyone else. Like I was betraying her. But, how was I supposed to find her if I didn't get close enough to anyone else to find out?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stood in the redecorated gym against the wall and listened to the music. I felt so many curious feminine eyes on me; it inspired confidence.
I knew none of them were Tereya, though, and right now, she was the only one I had eyes for. If I had my ipod, I would of played "Eyes On You" by, oh my gawd, guess who? Yup. A.L. They were what I thrived off of.
"Umm..." I looked up from the floor and pulled away from my thoughts. There was this small, dainty mouse standing in front of me. "Are you waiting for someone?" I nodded. "Her name's Tereya. You don't happen to have seen her or know her, do you? She's a cat." She seemed to flinch a bit. "Oh, no. But, why her? She's pretty and popular, but she's a, um... Well, if you don't mind, why her?" curiosity killed the mouse? "...Because... because she reminds me of someone..." She tipped her head as I played with the ring on my keychain in my pocket.
I couldn't help but notice this scent- this beautiful, scent that seemed to be neutered for forever. It seemed different from other scents. I wonder if anyone else felt that way.
She smelled beautiful, my Tereya.
I turned my head and just stared. I inhaled again, but not in an obnoxious or even visible way. She was beautiful, like a princess out of a fairy-tale.
Her dress was cream, but had an extremely detailed pattern, but was plain on her bodice. It belled out at the bottom, but not in an obnoxious manner. It had no sleeves, or even shoulders, revealing her beautiful skin. She had gloves that came up to her elbows.
The dress made her chest look good. Her mask also covered the upper half of her face. The way it came out, rounded, then pointed reminded me of a simple dove charm. It had a small, cream lace flower on the corner, and diamonds surrounding the opposite eye.
I could tell that almost every guy was looking at her. I was too busy gawking like the rest of the idiots to notice a Tiger walking up to her. "Hello." He said, voice sounding like a smooth talker. She looked over at the tiger that had addressed her. She tipped her head in a dainty, classy lady way. "Are you looking for someone?" Oh, hell no. I quickly walked over to her. "You wouldn't happen to be Miss Tereya, would you?" I asked. The tiger cleared his throat and said, "Um, don't be rude, mutt. We were in the middle of a conversation." I pushed passed him to Tereya. "You are her right? The description left out beautiful and gorgeous about twenty times though." Her face flushed and she nervously blinked. I think she forgot how to speak.
"...Y-yes." The Tiger growled. "Hey!" He said. I continued to ignore him.
"I'm Sai. A pleasure." I said and gently kissed her hand. Her face turned a deeper shade of pink and she blinked.
I finally gave the tiger the attention he wanted. "You shouldn't act out of place like that in front of a lady. It just makes you seem immature and not up to her standards. Understand, kitty?" I was tempted to call him something else that meant cat, but I didn't want anything to go wrong with me and Tereya tonight. I gently took on of her hands that covered her blushing face and took her away from the tiger. (pussy cat)
"...S-so, um, how do you know Urusai? You two are the same type of dog right?"
Oh My God, she just used my name!!! "Uh, I'm her cousin from out of town. My family and I are just back for a bit. It's too bad her parents are still out. Just when we get back too." Yes! I am such a good liar on my toes! I heard her gasp and ask, "From where?"
"Nagasaki." I did move there when I was little, and in truth, we did get back only four years ago. I was little and had to leave her... I wanted to keep her safe... I promised... and I also promised- "R-really? I know someone who moved there a really long time ago and their also a dog..." I stared.
...Could she...? No. She would at least be nice to dogs, but then she was only mean to me- or Urusai rather... "Ugh. I wish they'd play something good. I wanna dance."
"Do they play cd's that we have?" I knew they did, but as Sai, I didn't. She nodded. "Yes."
"I have a cd on me, I'll be right back." I pulled away from her. "Um..!" I turned to her. "Yeah?"
"Do I... Know you, from somewhere?"
"I don't think so." I said. "Oh... Well, I'll be by the food, so..." I nodded. "Alright."
I walked to the dj and asked him to play track 3. He said he would after this song, seeing as I was the first one to request.
I walked back over to where my Tereya said she'd be, ignoring the other girls.
"I heard their going to play something like modern day ballroom music. I helped pick some of it out because I don't like to listen to this crap, so I came a bit later. I hope I didn't make you wait long." I shook my head.
"No, and yeah, I know what you mean. I can't stand this genre of music." She tipped her head and looked at me. "Well then, what do you like?" I asked her.
"Anything that doesn't talk about this girl and that one and her and how he's going to go shoot that one and such. I guess what I'm saying is I like music with a good message. So I guess things like instrumentals, classical, techno, acid jazz, things like that."
"Acid jazz... Like Tatu?" She nodded, seeming to like where this conversation was going. "I also like acid jazz. I mainly listen to rock. I also like things with weird sounds to them." She smiled. "So, uh, do you usually kiss girls when you first meet them?"
"U-uh, n-no. You were just so pretty, I couldn't help but greet you like that."
"Oh, so it's only for pretty girls you just meet?" She playfully retorted. "N-no, uh..." She giggled. "I'm kidding."
"This is the, uh, song I had on me. Hope you don't think it's to girly or anything." She giggled. "No. Not at all."
(It was the cd from the car so, you can only guess who it was. Marlyn Mansion? No.)
She inched closer to me as she closed her eyes and listened to the song I had picked out.
"Walking down the street that we grew up in, but today it's not the same.
It's like a different town, a different place, a different name.
I kick my heels against the curb,
throw a stone to where you live to hoping I'll see you again.
Hope is low, will you show?
And I remember, the day that saved us;
the way you kissed me and the salt that filled my eyes.
---
Lying on the sand, the waves are talking, but today it's not the same.
It's like a different sound, a different cloud, a different rain.
My hearts going faster with every thought, everything that happened here, and it takes, the pain away.
Hope is low, will you show?"
"I like it." She said, turning to me. "It reminds me of someone..."
"Really? Me too. There are other tracks that remind me of someone too." She eyed me for a moment, then asked, "Sai? Will you dance with me once the other music starts to plays?"
"U-uh, sure..."
I'm going to embarrass myself...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

They played lots of "Kanon Wakeshima" and other similar sounding things.
She wanted to dance right away. I didn't even know how to stand, yet alone dance. "Um..." She laughed lightly and put my hand on her waist, the other in her hand.
Her hips felt like they'd break if I held her the wrong way or too tightly. "Look, now back, left, yup. uh-huh, you got it. This way, forward, there you go."
I was looking at our feet, trying not to step on her feet. I glanced up at her. "It would help if we were closer." She said a bit bashfully. I knew I was blushing when my hips touched hers. "You okay?" She asked, tipping her head again. "Uh, y-yeah."
No! But it did help. I didn't look down as much.

...I could stare at her instead of our feet. I really was holding back the urge to kiss her.
She buried her face in my neck. I was only slightly taller than her. "...You smell... so familiar, Sai." uh-oh. "D-do I?"
"Mm-hm... Like a smell I should remember for some reason, I feel like I should know you, Sai..." I was half expecting "I know you" from Sleeping Beauty to start playing. "Sai?"
"Hn?"
"...C-could you tell me... If this reminds you of anything?" It was my turn to tip my head. She came close to my ear and whispered, "I promise..." and kissed me for a moment.

I gasped and stared, my eyes wide. I opened my mouth to say something, but someone else did. "Tereya likes kissing dogs! Oooo!" It was that pain in the ass from the cafeteria that put me in the hospital.
"What's next? The girl one that you hang out with?"
We had both forgotten about the rest of the world, so as payment, we got shoved and crammed back into it.
She quickly pulled away and ran out of the room. (Very close to a Cinderella moment.)
"Tereya!" I hollered after her.
"I swear, she's like bi-polar or something." No, she's not. No one takes the time to try and understand her thoughts.
"She's a bitch." No, she's just scared and doesn't know how to convey her feelings well.
I clenched my fist. "For your information," I yelled as loud as I could to everyone. "I know Tereya better than any of you EVER will!" I ran out after her and yanked off my mask once outside of the gym to smell for her better.

After a while, I found her in a hallway crying on her knees. I put my mask back on and walked over to her saying, "Did they knock down your castle again, princess?" She gasped and turned to me.
"S-Sai, your... your..." I knelt down beside her and took her mask off. "Dry your tears. I'm here now." I said wiping her eyes.
Even though she was crying, she cried like a model. Her face didn't turn red or puffy, her eyes just got all watery and glossy (and pretty).
"Oh, Sai..." She said, burying her face in my chest. "I though I'd never see you again. I though... and I forgot and..." She hiccupped. I stroked her hair. "It's okay."
I cupped her chin and kissed her.
Her lips were warm, and her tears were wet and salty.
I felt her grip my shirt, trying not to cry harder. I wrapped her arms around my waist.
My Tereya... My princess... I've kept my second promise to you...

Title: I Promise I Love You; Chapter 14

[Author's notes: Fixed! holy drama! lol]

She didn't remember my name, and I didn't remember her's, but we remembered how each other smelled.

"Everyone, we have a new student. Meet Urusai. Be polite okay?"
I had started kindergarten freaking out over getting the house in order because we just moved in, and it already made me late.
Somehow I got stuck with mostly cats, a few rabbits, and a handful of mice, and our teacher was a snake. (Funny right?) They were all quiet animals.
When I was little, I acted like a scared rabbit because of various things; being afraid I'd hurt anything I touch because of stereotypes, my slight anger issues (yes, at the time they were slight), etcetera. When I talked, I sounded like a little boy.
"Stupid dog!"
"It stinks in here now." They all thought I was a boy. The cats would pick on me whenever they could get away with it, and the rabbits and mice were to scared to do anything.
"Mph! Stop picking on him!" Her voice was high, but light. "Why? He's a dog- and don't you smell him?"
She walked directly up to me, put her hands on my shoulders, leaned in and sniffed me. "I think he smells nice." She said, turning to the other cats and putting her hands on her hips. I stared at her and my eyes grew big. "...Y-you do?" I had asked her in my raspy voice. She turned to me and took her hands on her hips. "Nn-hn. For a dog, you do smell good." She wiped back around to everyone else. "So stop picking on him!" She yelled, and chucked the nearest wooden block she could find.
She wasn't going to just let them pick on me. They all ducked and ran to the other side of the room.
I came up behind her and tugged her shirt. She turned to me and gave me a big smile, teeth showing and all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Sai-kun, look it!" My name was too long, so she had decided to call me "Sai" for short.
"Okay. One second." I said, hurrying to wipe the finger pain off of my hands. She had allowed me to come out of my shell a bit more. I heard blocks falling.
I looked over towards her, an awful feeling in my gut. She started to cry. "Ha-ha!" A neck boy said, right in her face. I stormed over and growled at him. "I'm gonna beat you so bad, you'll look like a messed up tomato! How dare you make my ~~~~~~ cry! Every single block you knocked down is gonna be in your skull!" I yelled, my voice squeaking. I picked up everyone one of the blocks that he knocked down and made sure they hit his head, if I missed, I picked it up again and chucked it.
(I'd like to make note of how I did little kid baseball, and I was one of the really good pitchers.)
I made him bleed and get a concussion, so I got suspended. When I got back, she was waiting for me.
"Sai-kun, I'm not going to make block towers anymore..."
"Huh? How come?" I asked. "...because they'll knock it down again and then you'll get mad and get in trouble again." I shook my head. "Nuh-uh. Not if I help you make it. They won't wanna go near it!" She stared at me, eyes naturally big. She smiled. "Okay!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"You know," she said, adding a block to our tower. "I'm kinda like the princess and your like the prince." I looked at her. "I am?" She nodded, fixing the position of another block. "Mmm-hmm. Because you protected me. If you weren't a prince, you wouldn't."
"But I don't have a horse." I said. (Like I said, not the sharpest crayon in the box...)
"So? Do you wanna be my prince and protect me or not?" She said, arms crossed, seeing as we were on our knees. I didn't even need a second to think. "Okay! I promise to protect you for forever and ever!" She giggled at me. "Okay. And when we're older, we have to get married now. We're betrodded!" (bethroved.)
"Okay!" I said nodding, full of enthusiasm.

When we were outside, I hunted down a stick, then stood on top of the monkey bars and hollered; "I'm ~~~~~~'s prince! I’m gonna protect her, so if you make her cry, I'll beat you up!" I yelled, waving the stick like a sword. The teacher sighed. "Urusai, get off of the monkey bars like that and put the stick down." Teacher said. "Okay." (I'd just like to make note of how I made a fool of myself a second after that by falling off of the monkey bars from them being slippery and me being klutzy.)

...But like the song by Fiona Apple goes, "Forever is a promise, and you can't afford to lie."
We had to move again. Dad found a better job in Nagasaki. When we were going home, they told me- we hadn’t left school yet, and Tereya was just leaving as well.
"...What...?" I looked over to a choked up ~~~~~~. "But Mom, we can't! I gotta stay here with ~~~~~~!"
"You don't HAVE to, although, I know you really want to."
"No, Mom! I have to! I promised! I promised I'd protect her forever! I can't if I leave!" I quickly ran over to my choked up kitten and hugged her. "I e-even got you t-this." She said in between tears. She held out a small, plain silver ring. "So we could get married..." She mumbled, a bit embarrassed. She put the ring on my finger. "...You can't leave now..."
"I'd don't wanna..." My mom looked like she was about to cry too. She must of felt like an awful parent.
"~~~~~~, I promise that I'll remember how you smell and come back and find you, okay?" I inhaled deep to keep her scent. "Me too." She said, clutching me tighter and doing the same as me. I stood on my tip-toes to reach her ears and whispered in them, "I promise..." and briefly kissed her lips at an angel our parents couldn't see.

It briefly stifled Tereya's tears...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"...Sai-kun..." She said. It almost sounded exactly the same. She put her hands to my mask, wanting to see my face. I quickly jumped back. "Y-you can't." She stared at me. "Why? I want to see your face. I... I've missed you..." She whimpered a bit and started to cry again. My bangs covered my eyes. "I don't mean to make your cry. That's the last thing I want, but... I don't want you to be disappointed... I don't exactly live up to your expectations. I don't want you more upset than you are..." She stared at me, blinking away tears. "...What?" I glanced to the side. "But, I do want you to know that... I... I love you..." Her face had never been so red. She was doing my thing; the 8th color of the rainbow. I knelt down and kissed her.
"I love you." I kissed her. "I love you." I kissed her. "I love you..." I kissed her for the last time and got up. She would feel terrible knowing it was me, especially after how we act towards one another. I was going to spare her the grief.
I left, her desperate voice ringing in my ears to come back.
"Sai, please don't go! Please!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once I was on my porch, I took off my mask and started bawling. Things could never- no, would never turn out the way I wanted them. Not with the way I was and the way she was. I stumbled inside I wanted to go right to my room, but was caught by Nii-chan. "Uru, what's wrong?" He asked, the second he saw me. I did nothing but hyperventilate and burry my face into his chest. He rubbed my back and called Sora from the back of the house.
"What's wrong?" He shook his head. "I don't know. Uru, talk to me, please?"
I looked up at him, eyes blurry from a vast amount of tears. "Nii-chan..."I choked. "...I love her..." His eyes got wide and then he said, "Oh, Uru..." And picked me up and took me to my room.
I messily looked for a cd the best I could between crying. Nii-chan got the one I was looking for and sat me down and played it. I turned it up loud and buried my face in my brother's chest. I felt Sora rubbing my back.
I loved her... I really did... I STILL do...
And even though when I'm me, and she treats me like that, I still... I still somehow...

She hated me, and loved Sai... She loved him, and hated me...

I could never tell her... She would think I found out from him and did it as a sick joke, or that I found out from the real Sai and...

"You build a heart that's strong, walls to last long, it's paper meche..."

I started to hyperventilate and choke on everything; air, my spit, my tears...

My music was so loud I didn't hear the doorbell, or Sora answering it and coming back up to tell Tereya was here.
I just mouthed the lyrics, seeing as I was so choked up, I couldn't sing it if I wanted to.

"Incomplete hysterical, typical reaction, I can't get over-over-over-over you.
This is how the story goes, glory in the moment.
Now I won't let, won't let..."

Nii-chan leaned close to my ear and told me she was here. All that did was make me bawl harder. "I'll tell her to come back tomorrow." I barely heard Sora say to both of us. Nii-chan turned it down a bit.
"Just until we're sure she's gone okay." I nodded and sniffed. I got up and went into my medium sized closet and stripped and put on pajamas. I left the outfit in the back of my closet. If she did come up, I couldn't have her seeing me like that...

"She's kind of refusing to leave." Sora said.
"Why?!" I said wiping around, pissed. Sora jumped, I apologized.
"Just shut the door. I'm not here. I'm out with Sami-chan if she asks." I turned the music down more. "If she asks about the music, YOU tell her what you two were probably doing earlier." Sora's face heated. "W-we didn't do that tonight, honest! Why do you think I'm still awake- and can walk?"
Good point...
Sora made a face and went downstairs.
I heard Tereya say with her usual attitude, "Fine I'll wait until she comes back."
"I-I think she said she was staying the night."
"Like I said," Tereya said, more attitude.
"I'm sorry... I probably ruined your guy's night..." I whispered to Nii-chan. He shook his head. "No. We knew you'd have to come back eventually. No worries. Although, we didn't expect you to come back so... upset is all..." I nodded. "Sorry..."
"Look, if I'm going to wait here, the least you could do is let me i-" She cut short as she saw me in my pajamas looking like my face just got bitch smacked with a tomato. She visibly bit her tongue and crossed her arms. "Oh, so, now your lying to me?" I looked away. "Nii-chan, could you please?" He looked like I had just told him my goldfish had died, but he rubbed my back and when to the door. "If you need me, call okay?" I nodded, not looking up. The door shutting seemed louder than usual, making it seem like I was trapped with my impending doom for forever. She glared at me. "Gimmie Sai's number." I shoo my head. She narrowed her eyes at me. "Give it to me- now. It's not a friendly request. It's an order."
"When have you ever not given me an order?" She looked like I had risen my hand to strike her, but didn't go any farther than that. She walked over to me and sat on my bed, quiet for a moment.
"...You look like hell."
"I'm sick. Not that you care. Even if you did say I could go, I kinda can't." She rolled her eyes and starting rubbing my back. "Sai's number... please?" Oh, so she was buttering me up, now? Oh, hell no.
I flopped onto my side on my bed. "My phone broke." I lied. She smacked my thigh as hard as she could. "Ow!" I growled. She hovered over me, using her arms to keep me from escaping. "Stop lying to me. We're going to play a game now. I'm going to ask you a question, and if I think your lying, I'm going to hit you." I shrugged. "What if I'm honestly telling the truth?" She just stared at me. "What color is the sky?"
"Orange." She smacked my thigh again. "Ow! It is! At dusk or dawn! See! I was telling the truth and you hit me! Damn it, Tereya!" I flipped her over, my anger on a royal level.
"Sometimes I really wanna murder you, you know that! I wanna fucking strangle you or fucking shoot you through the head! I wanna stab you in your goddamn heart and make it stop beating, along with your never-ending antics! I fucking hate you, goddamn it! FUCK!" I pushed off of her, standing up and going over to my vanity. I discreetly watched her sit up in the mirror, shaking. "So, what did he like, ditch you or something? Or did you ditch him? Or did you find him a creep? Or did he remind you too much of your goddamn mutt-slave-servant? Hn? Which is it, Tereya? Huh?" Her hands started shaking. "Oh, you don't fucking like it when I'm like this do you? I'm fucking tired of you holding that shit over my head like a goddamn leash! Do you know how much SHIT I could do to you if I wanted? I could make you so fucking scared, you'd never want to even mention it without fucking crying! God! Fucking... UGH!" I threw a small glass jewelry box with velvet lining at my wall and it shattered. Her eyes were welled, and her shaking was so visible, you'd think that there was a massive earthquake going on only where she was.

She burst into tears, quietly crying, trembling and holding herself. My eyes widened, and my chest clenched, making me feel like I had to puke.
"You don't get it... do you?" I said in a much more gentle tone. I calmly and slowly walked over to her. She flinched as I reached for her, but I didn't stop. I hugged her to my chest and started stroking her hair. I started humming "Hush" by Automatic Loveletter, her cries getting a bit louder, and shudders getting more violent. Eventually, I sat down on my bed while she still cried in my arms from the same person that had scared her so bad... yet she was clinging to me... still crying into my chest, still gripping my shirt, still allowing me to stroke her hair and rock her back and fourth. Eventually, she fell asleep.
I adjusted myself and sighed a deep, heavy sigh. I covered us both and kissed her head.
She smelled good.
I thought about the terrible move I had just made. I couldn't tell her anything. I couldn't talk to her as Sai, and because of Sai, she'd grow to resent me even more so. I had made her feel more than loved by being the one from long ago, yet in the same moment, I ditched her... As me, I had terrified her so much that she had even fallen asleep here...

I envied how simple it is to be children. To love without being in love. To be able to say "I'm sorry" and everything would be automatically better.
But I didn't apologize. Not once. And I didn't want to, either.

Chapter 8

Title: Secrets Are Meant To Be Kept, Promises Meant To Be Broken; Chapter 15

That morning, I got up before her, feeling like hell in a hand basket. (A saying my mom would always say.) I held my phone over the trash and snapped my it in half. I wouldn’t have her calling me a liar, nor do I want to carry on being Sai at the moment. (A moment later, I regretted not writing down numbers and such, but then if you think about it…)
I’d have to either tell her the truth, or lie to her even more. (Probably the latter one…) I tossed it and sat down at the table and sighed, head in my hands. Nii-chan was drinking coffee by a counter, and cautiously watching me (Like a tiger starved for weeks and there was still no food around), just in case. Sora came over to Nii-chan and delicately kissed him like he was the one who was pissed, and mumbled “good morning.” He gently kissed him back and mumbled the same, eying me in case for some reason, it angered me. I got up and quietly went upstairs, and my aura with it. I could tell it was choking them and making them feel awkward to be around me; I knew it was. I quietly sat down at the edge of the bed and stroked her hair whilst she slept.

She looked exhausted; she was still in her dress, and it would probably be wrinkled once she got up. Her eyes were rimmed red, (no make up was running because she didn’t wear any, yet alone need any) but she still looked beautiful… I gently kissed her forehead, and she woke up and jumped in the same instant and looked over at me. I just stared, not moving. She sat up slowly and looked around my room. She saw the broken box I had thrown at the wall, and she made a face like she was about to cry. I pulled her closer by the back of her head and kissed her forehead.
I felt her eyes close and her eyelashes brush against my cheek.

It reminded me of butterfly kisses I would give my mom when I was little: How I’d bat my eyelashes against her cheek, and she’d do the same for mine, which would result in me giggling.

I closed my eyes and let my gentle kisses trail down to her cheek, then I hugged her and batted my eyelashes, making me give her butterfly kisses.
Light, delicate, fragile, kisses. I felt her gently grip the back of my shirt. I sighed and sat down next to her.
“…You hungry?” She nodded, eyeing my floor. “What do you want…?” She shook her head. “…Whatever…” I stood up and went to my door. “You know, you look really pretty in that…” I said, then quickly left.
I decided to vamp up so waffles for her. She did say whatever. I heated her up two of them, and if she wanted more, I’d just get her more. Simple as that. I sliced some strawberries and put them on there for her. I went upstairs, and she hadn’t moved from her spot on the bed. I handed them to her. “Do you want anything else on them?” She shook her head and daintily started eating like a princess. I looked away and spotted my broken mess. I went back downstairs to get the dustpan before it ended up in my foot. I cleaned it up while the only noise between me and Tereya was the slight sweeping noise of me cleaning and the slight clanking of silverware as she ate. I heard the doorbell ring. I tossed the broken glass into a small plastic bag and then put it into the kitchen garbage. I hated when I took the trash out and there was a piece of something sticking out and just itching to slice my leg open. “Nee, Uru, Mom and dad are home.” My ears perked up. “…What?”
“Mom and dad are home.” My eyes wandered up to the ceiling, where my room was, where Tereya was. I just sighed and tromped upstairs. She was just sitting there, staring blankly at the empty plate. “My parents are home.” I simply told her. She just looked up at me. “I want to go home… Take me home.” She said, her voice seemingly neutral, but I could hear it discreetly shaking. I nodded. “Okay.” She stood up, and in doing so, her pride seemed to come back. “I’ll be back because I’d like to talk to your parents, but I’d like to change first.” She said, gesturing to her outfit. I just nodded and started stripping in front of her to change. She glanced away face red. “Wh-What are you-”
“When we first met you got all pissy because I hid under the covers and changed. Remember?” She stared at the floor, gripping the rim of her dress nervously.

Right now, I didn’t care. I took off my underwear, bra, everything, THEN looked for clothes and got dressed. The entire time, her face was heated, her ears were down, and her tail was tucked in between her legs a she glanced in the opposed direction. I turned to her once I was dressed. I had on jeans with a purple, skirt that layered and frilled at the ends over them, and a shirt that was the same shade of purple, but had a built in thermal. “Alright, let’s go.” Her cheeks were as red as the strawberries I had given her. She nodded and followed me out the door. “Hi, Urusai!” Mom greeted me. “Hi mom. I’ll be back.” She tipped her head, seeing as she had just got back and I was leaving, then saw Tereya and nodded with understanding. “Oh, so your to good for your old man? I don’t even get a hello?” I stopped and let a smile wiggle it’s way onto my face. I went over and hugged him, my face buried into his chest. He rubbed my back and mumbled into my ear. “You okay?” I swear he had radar specifically for when I was upset. I shook my head. “We’ll talk later. I promise, okay?” I mumbled back. He nodded at let me go. As much as I love my mother, I got along best with my father. He ruffled my hair, laughed at me and how crazy I looked, then smoothed it out.

Mom said one of the things she loved best about dad was his brilliant hands. They were so big and warm and strong.
I understood that. When I was little, I loved it when my dad would let me sit on his lap and pet me while he talked with mom, or watched the television, or whenever else I could sit on his lap.

It was the one thing in this messed up world, that even now, I know are safe and sure.

I walked out of my house with Tereya following close behind. I had handed her a spare coat, and she simply draped it over her shoulders, while I put mine on. We went to the garage, and I got into the car’s driver’s seat, she got into the back. I eyed her funny. You think a spoiled-rotten princess would want to sit in the front. “There’s more space back here is all…” She mumbled. I Must have been staring to hard…
I started the car and we drove in silence. I decided to play my cd- then I was so glad we were at a red light. I hit my head so hard on the steering wheel and left it there, it beeped for about the entire red light.

…I had left my cd.
Dear god she had better not find out and use it as a Cinderella thing… FUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCKKK!!!!!
“What?” She asked simply. I shook my head. “Nothing. Just left my cd in the house. Thought it was in the car.” She raised an eyebrow. “Meaning I don’t know where it is. It’s one of my favorites is all.” She just nodded, then looked out of the window. “I hate when that happens…” She mumbled.
Wait- was she agreeing with me? Holy Sh-”So… um… Are you feeling better, now that you got to yell at me?” I looked back at her, then quickly looked back at the road. “No. Because I know I’m just going to regret it…” She leaned forward. “How so? What do you think I’m going to do?” I shrugged. “Tell. Screw me over ten times, then burry me six.” Her laugh sounded like a sneeze. “Funny. And yeah. But really… It would help if you used that brain of yours sometimes.” Another red light. “Well, I don’t use it because I don’t know what I’m supposed to be thinking of because SOMEONE won’t tell me, so there’s no need.” She rolled her eyes. “Your so stupid.” She huffed, leaning back. “By the way, did you really break your phone?” Green light. “Did you NOT see the broken glass? Phones aren’t that hard to bust.” She nodded. “Uh-huh… So, you don’t have Sai’s number?” I almost slammed on the breaks. “No. I don’t.” I said simply through gritted teeth. She pouted slightly. “Alright, Hime-sama. Stop wining. What happened anyway that made you come over to MY house of all places.” She looked out of the window again. “He… Well…”
I looked in the rearview mirror to look at her.
“He didn’t ditch me or anything… and wait- WHY am I telling this to you?”
“Because you came over to MY house, dearest.”
“Don’t call me that!” She said, sounding disgusted. “Fine, whatever…”
It was quiet, meaning she wasn’t going to continue, meaning in turn, I would have to prompt her to. “So, he ditched you, but you swear up and down he didn’t?”
“I’m really gonna choke you and get you into a wreck. No he didn’t. He just didn’t want to show me his face, so he left…”
“Maybe he was ugly. You ever think of that?” I felt her smack the back of my head. “Not with eyes like that he isn’t.” I was glad she didn’t sit in the front. I felt my face tint magenta. I turned on the radio so it wouldn’t be so awkwardly quiet.
“Oh… Unmei No Hito… I haven’t heard this in forever…” She mumbled.
“It’s pretty.” I replied. “Yeah… I like all of Fujita Maiko’s songs. The first one I had heard by her was called Mizufuusen. I went to this festival when I was little and they had it playing.”

…I remember that…
It was over one of the breaks… She had hauled me out of the house to go. I didn’t want to because I was a big baby, but seeing her in a yukata… I melted and caved. I went, and she made me enjoy going out…
“MUTT!” I slammed on the breaks. “What?!” I whipped around. “You missed the turn and you were ignoring me!”
I sighed/grumbled and turned around and did a U-y.
“Now what were you bitching about while I thought of days when I was happy?”
“Oh shut up. I was saying, it was the one coming up break after next. That’s the one I went to as a little kid. I want you to have Sai’s number by then so I can go with him.” I felt something in my chest tighten.
Was this all I was going to be good for, now?
“…Hey… Tereya… Can I… Ask you something?”
She looked away from the window, her chin was in her hand. “Hn?”
“…Say you wouldn’t need me anymore… What would you-”
“Are you saying your dead? Because that’s the only way your going to be useless in every aspect. Do you understand? Even then, I could use your organs for when I get old or sick or something, so even then, I’d have a use for you.” I pulled into her drive way and turned off the car.
“…So… What your saying is…” I turned around in my seat to face her. “You still need me?”
She looked at me with wide brown eyes, and faintly nodded. “If that’s how you want to word it…” Then glanced away.

It was quiet, as if even the molecules in our bodies were trying not to stir.
“…Honestly… I’m jealous…” I said and turned back around so she couldn’t see how much of a girl I was being.
“How so?” I laughed, a bit. “Not a single thing between you and I has changed after a couple of months, and you spend one night with this guy, and…”
“Get the fuck out of the car.” She stated, anger in her voice. “What?”
“Don’t you make me repeat myself.” Why do I have the feeling she’s going to beat me? I got out and so did she.
She glared at me, then smacked me.
It stung, and at the same time, reminded me to not let my head fly off or leak through my mouth; Those stupid, angst-y thoughts of mine…
I felt her take the same hand that she smacked me with an the opposing one, and gently cradle my face. She made it so I had to look at her, then she gently placed a kiss on my lips.
“Don’t you dare go spouting one-sided, retarded, obnoxious SHIT- do you understand?” The warmth from the kiss spread through the rest of my body and I almost forgot how to move.
I nodded. “…Good.” Was all she said as she walked into her house.
I tipped my head back and stared at the bright blue sky. I felt so muddled right now.

…What in the hell does that girl want?
WHO in the hell does that girl want? Me? Or Sai? Or someone else entirely?
If I had a brick wall, I swear my head would be through it I’d hit my head so many times.
I sighed and went inside. “Pardon the intrusion…” I mumbled as I striped of my shoes. I went to Tereya’s room and sat outside the door to the side.
She had faint music playing.
“…hayaku ichiban taisetsu na hito no tokoro e
Konomama kimi wo hontou ni ushinau sono mae ni
Totae wa tokku ni kimatteru
Omoi wo katachi ni kaerunda…”
I laughed at the irony of the fact that she was listening to a song like that, and that’s how I felt… I pulled my legs close to my chin and listened to the song she was listening to.

In an odd feel, listening to music that gets to your heat, as well as someone else’s, it makes you feel closer to them. It honestly does. I heard her sing a single line, which was cute. (Her singing, not the line.)
“…Boku tachi wa…” She opened the door and looked down at me. She had on a pair of skinny jeans and a white t-shirt with a catchy, graffiti looking logo on the back. “…Um, what are you doing?”
“Sitting. You?” I asked. She rolled her eyes and went downstairs. “Hey, mom!” She called. “Yes?” She asked, her head poking around from a corner. “Can you and dad come with me to her house?” She asked. Her mom nodded. “Um, sure, but why?” Tereya pulled her closer by her arm and whispered in her ear something I couldn’t hear. Her eyes grew a bit wide, but she nodded. I’ll, um, get your dad. I’ll be right back.” My face screwed into a worried one and stuck. “Don’t worry, I didn’t tell her.” I could hear the “yet” just dying to be put there- no wait. It wasn’t just dying. It was dying multiple, dramatic times, and getting revived, just to die again.

She walked by me and put her hand on my head and barely petted me as she walked by. She went into the kitchen and got a granola bar from the cupboard. She sat down in a chair and munched on it as she waited. I felt really angst, and my stomach was twisting around so much, I felt sick.
“Can I use your sink?” I asked. She raised an eyebrow, but nodded. I went over and vomited. Her face quickly turned to a disgusted one. “Ew!” She hollered. Her mom came running. “Oh my god, are you okay?” She asked, rubbing my back. I heaved and vomited again. (Now that I think about it, I didn’t even eat anything, so where is this vomit coming from?) I gagged, and whipped my mouth. “I’m sorry…” I said. “No it’s fine. Are you okay?” She asked again. I nodded. “Yup. Thinking about angst stuff is all. It’s nothing. I think I just did it to myself is all.” She rubbed my back some more then got me some water. Tereya just sat there and stared, grossed out.
“That’s disgusting.” She said, and went back to eating her granola bar.
I chugged the water, and then was handed a granola bar as well. “Relax, okay?” I nodded and sat down. “Yeah, relax, man.” Tereya said, intentionally making herself sound like a hippie. I rolled my eyes, trying not to smirk.
“Alright. You okay? Your dad’s almost ready, so uh… Wait-” Tereya’s mom said and turned to me. “Were you driving?” I nodded. “Not anymore. Not after that. I don’t know if you were dizzy or, what, but let Tereya drive.”
She can drive?
“She can drive?” She crossed her arms at and glared at me. “No stupid. I can’t drive, yet I was appointed driver, because that how my mother thinks.”
“Okay, I’m sorry…” I said slinking down into my chair. “Sheesh…” She rolled her eyes and got up to toss her wrapper. She also took mine- with about a third of the granola still in it.
She looked at me once she sat back down, knowing what she did.

We waited as her mom ran around like a chicken with it’s head cut off (they really do do that before they die, it’s quite scary…) because of the last minute “get ready and go!” Tereya imposed on her. She was finally ready and ran out of the house (latterly). Tereya’s dad looked after her, and laughed a little. “Alright girls. We can go, now.” We got up and followed. I sat in the passengers seat, while Tereya got into the drivers seat. “Keys.” She said with her hand out. I took them out of my pocket and handed them to her. She took them and was about to put them into the ignition, when she stopped and stared at my key ring. “What?” I asked her. She shook her head, looking perplexed, then said “Nothing…. It’s nothing.” And started to drive.
I had to give her the occasional “Turn left after this light” and “You passed the turn off” because she really, honestly didn’t know her way to my house. (Wait- remind me how she found her way to my house last night again?) I shrugged it off. No biggie- right…?

We arrived upon my lovely little abode, then got out. “So remind me why your parents are here?” She just looked at me, then got out of the car. “You’ll see.” Why in the HELL did I just get a chill down my spine?
We went inside, and Tereya had everyone sit down; my parents, Nii-chan and Sori on one side of the couch, her parents on the other, and me with them. “Okay, so um…” She started.

“Uh… How do I word this…?” She started pacing. Why do I feel sick again? “Um… I guess I should just be blunt. Um… My Hari-No-Nekkuresu broke. Urusai accidentally broke it.” I felt my face pale, and my body start to shake. I got up and ran to the sink and vomited again. Because I only had that bit of granola, most of it was me just dry heaving.
Everyone stared at me; mom, dad, Nii-chan, Sori, Tereya’s parents, and HER.
TEREYA with wide eyes like a child that had just told her parents she had done something minorly bad and was hoping to be forgiven.
Like HELL she would. I did all that SHIT for her, and she goes and TELLS? Did I tell you I have this urge to just go JUMP out of a window and KILL myself? FUCK this, she’s EVIL.

I looked at everyone, who in turn was still staring and pale faced. I dry heaved again and made a hitching noise in my throat. I ran upstairs to my room and slammed the door and bolted it. I ripped open a cd case, not caring if I broke it at the moment, and hurriedly put it in and blared it. I didn’t want to hear anyone at my door asking me questions, or even myself as I screamed what she screamed. That’s right; metal. My world mainly revolves around Automatic Loveletter, but that doesn’t mean I only listen to one artist.

In This Moment, Prayer.

I wanted to die. I liked it better when she just screamed, so I could just scream. FUCK singing right now.
“NEVER BRING ME BACK A-GAIN! NEVER BRING ME BAAAAAAAACCCCKKKK!”
I stopped dead scream. I blared the next track. This song… This goddamn song was HER.

Beautiful Tragedy.

That’s exactly what she was…
“And this confession is killing me again…” I mumbled. What confession? That I fucking busted her necklace? That I totally wanted to make-out with her and I got off on thoughts like that?
What the FUCK. I grabbed a blanket and buried myself in it in the bottom of my closet. I made it so no new air would come it. I burst into tears. Fuck, fuck, FUCK!!!
“Will you be there by my grave,” The radio sang. “Or will you be THE DEATH OF ME?”
I wondered… I sobbed… I passed out… I awoke to blaring music, and not being able to breathe. I climbed out o my closet and turned it down. My ears were ringing and I felt congested. I opened my door. I was going to have to face the music sooner or later. I mean the pretty blonde posing as a fat lady DID sing, so…

I went downstairs, to find no one inside. They were all in the backyard; My music must have been to loud.
Tereya and her parents were still there.
Mom ran up to me and hugged me tight. “Uru why didn’t you tell me?” Nii-chan asked. I didn’t hug her back, and I didn’t answer him. Instead, I gently removed my mother, and went over to sit on my fathers lap like the big baby I was. He didn’t ask me questions, he didn’t say anything. He just stroked my hair as I wrapped my arms around his neck and clung like a baby koala. My eyes were puffy and red.
“…I didn’t mean to…” I mumbled. “I know.” He said into my hair. Gravity seemed to want to pull at my face extra hard right now. I blame that for more of the tears.
“I’m sorry…” I whimpered. He stroked my hair as I cried into his shoulder.
“It’s okay…” He said.
“Alright. I think we should just go. I’ll tell her tomorrow.” Tereya said.
“Tell me what?” I asked, leaning away from my father to look at her. “What we agreed on as a temporary, uh, solution.” I narrowed my eyes at her.
“I wont date anyone- because it’s broken. If anyone asks, I’m engaged. We just need to find someone I’m engaged to. And you…” I stared, waiting for an answer. I probably looked ridiculous, nose and eyes red, and trying to be serious.
The next part, she almost whispered, and it came out very fast and in her highest, prettiest, sugar coated voice she could probably muster.

“And you have to do whatever I say until then.”

I clenched my fist and teeth. I got so angry, I saw spots, then I blacked out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to my alarm clock going off. Why in the HELL did I feel so- My face auto-scowled.
Tereya. That BITCH. Ugh I was gonna- Ooo, I like this song- wait- damn it!
I sighed and got up. I turned it off and went to the bathroom. I wet a washcloth and washed my face. I felt Nii-chan come up from behind me and hug me. “Hi…” I mumbled. “You okay?” He asked. I nodded. “Mom says if your not you can stay home.” I shook my head. “No I’m good. Plus, I have a few things to tell that… ugh… so many words, and it would take all day to say them.” He buried his face in my back, then sighed. “It’s okay. By the way, you also have to give her “Sai’s” number because I said that I had it.” I turned around and he let go. “Would you be alright with me banging my head on the sink, full throttle?”
“No.”
While eating breakfast; “Jumping off of the empire stating building?”
“Nhope.” He said while chewing.
While he changed, me doing the same outside of his door; “Jumping into Mt. Fuji?”
“Nuh-uh.”
“Oh, come on! It’s not active or anything!”
“Still no.”
“Damn…” I mumbled and walked away.
As he got into the car to drive us to school;
“Can I lay under the car as you back out?”
“Uru,” He sighed. “Yup?”
“Stop.” He said. I sighed. “We’ll get you a new phone, and that’ll be Sai’s number. That one will be a minute phone though.”
“That one? So I’m getting two?”
“Yes. One for that charade of yours, the other for you. For Sai, you can lie and say something like “my parents thought I talked on the phone to much, so now I have to text like a girl”, er, something.” I nodded as I got into the passengers seat. “That’ll also keep you from having to talk to her.”
“Smart.” I said. “Mom and dad came up with that one.”
“Wait- mom and dad?” I asked turning in my seat as he started the car. “Yup. I had to tell them because she asked about Sai and if we had his number. I told her only you had it, so we’d have to get it again.” I nodded. “And mom and dad went along with it?”
“After I explained and weaved in some lies, yes.” He said, backing out of the drive way. “And your lies would be so I don’t tell the truth?”
“That you wanted to go, but didn’t want to embarrass yourself -for various reasons- so you went as a guy, and she liked you. She noticed similarities, so you lied and said you were your own cousin.”
I nodded. “You are amazing, you know that?” He nodded. “Yup. I know.” I rolled my eyes. “Stupid senior.” I said, lightly elbowing him because he was driving. “Stupid sophomore.” He said, elbowing me back- hard. I gave him a look that said I’d get him back later. He laughed at me. “Don’t gimmie that look.”
“Oh I will.” I said simply. “And I’ll get you back. Just you wait ‘till you get out of this car.” I threatened him. He smirked. “Oh, yeah. Smart move. Embarrass yourself in front of everyone in the parking lot.” He said. I punched his shoulder. “Oww.” He quietly hissed. I smirked. “Okay, okay. You win the car round. I’ll kick your butt later.” I nodded and sarcastically agreed. “Mmm-hmm.”
“Oh, I will. Just you wait.”
“Okay. Whatever you say.” It was quiet for a minute, then he struck up another conversation. “So did you check your new schedule?” I turned to him. “New schedule?” He nodded like I was slow. “Yeah. New-Sched-u-al.” He said each syllable distinctly. Okay I know for a fact I’m not slow….
That often…
“…No…” I mumbled, slumping into my seat. “Well we got ‘em in the mail because the marking period’s over- as you know- wait, you do know THAT MUCH, don’t you?”
“I swear I’m tempted to seriously hit you and jump out of the car as you get into a wreck.” He brushed what I had to say like water off of a ducks back and kept talking. “Well I shoved your into your bag, I mean, figuring you probably didn’t know we got them, yet alone look at it.” I punched him like he was the source of all my sorrows. I made him swerve. “Damn it Uru! Cut that shit out!” He curse at me as we avoided another Honda. I stuck my tongue out at him.
In situations like this, I just tend to make them worse. I’m stubborn and don’t want to apologize, and I continue aggravating people, even if I know how they feel. It’s part of my bad side that I hate. And I always play it off like them yelling at me doesn’t bother me… Which it does.
I sighed and rummaged around in my bag for my new schedule. I skimmed for gym. I liked it- just not early in the morning. Lucky me, it was last block. I mentally did a happy dance while the outer me remained calm and continued to skim over it. Everything was pretty much the same except for three classes: Gym, obviously, which used to by my two study halls, a.k.a. nap time, (Our school was retarded, so you only have gym two marking periods all four years, but because of that, we have it twice a week.) technology which was now art, and home economics, which was now music. Sweet. I sucked at technology and hate home ec. Both were nothing but extra math (Which I was OKAY in, but you know… Could do better.) “Anything different?” He asked me. “Yeah. Nap time got replaced with gym.” He sucked his teeth and shook his head. “I’m sorry.”
Nii-chan does the same thing as me during study halls. We parked into the student parking lot and got out. Nii-chan looked around then started walking away from school to the front gate to go be with some friends. He turned around and walked backwards and pointed to the front doors, his book bag (which, if you asked me resembled a mini duffle bag) was slung over one shoulder, swaying as he walked. I looked over. Oh, HELL no! Was she- was she LOOKING for me?! “No, no, no!” I yelled running after him.
He caught me and turned me around. “Go!” he said pushing me. I looked up at him. “But I don’t wan to!” I pouted. He jerked his chin in her direction. “It’s public now. Get, or else we’ll all be screwed because of YOUR problem.”
I tipped my head. “All of you? How?” He nodded to her again and left me to my own accord. I sighed and gripped the strap of my book bag and started walking over to her.
“Hey…” I mumbled. “I’ve got something for you.” She said, immediately as she saw me, rummaging through her bag. She pulled out a slip of paper. “Here. Sign it.” I tipped my head. Was that-
A Contract?!
The Hell?!
“Your parents already signed it, so it’s fine. It’s just a more formal version of what we agreed on when my parents came over.” I skimmed it over. “And it we break it?”
“You mean if you break it?”
“Hey! I’ve been a good little girl so far!” I retorted. She rolled her eyes. “Right.”
“Sai…” I mumbled just loud enough for her to hear. She stopped as she bit her lip and looking pissed.
Ah-ha, I win.
Wow, I’m so mature, right?
I sighed it on the wall, and gave it back to her. She ripped the back page off. “Here’s your copy. By the way, this HAS happened before, but not really, so…”
“So is this how you neko girls keep your men in line? Make them forever your slaves?”
I had the urge to write a dirty yuri fan fiction about this subject… Master-servant type thing, only their rich and one’s seriously her servant.
“MUTT!” She hollered at me. “Huh?” Why do I reply to that again? “Don’t space out when I was answering your question! God, your so RUDE.” She stated. I just smiled at her. Something about how she was getting mad right now was really cute…
“W-what?” She asked.
Shiranai…
Maybe it was how she clenched her fists to her sides all the time, or how she sometimes stomped her foot, or how her thin, shapely brows furrowed.
I bet you if she were to act immature and stick her tongue out at me, I’d think it was cute.
(Don’t get me wrong! I’m NOT one of those freaks that enjoys getting stepped on or things like that. Gawd, no!)
“Nothing.” I said, shaking my head. “I can see why you have everyone drooling all over you though. No matter what you do your so cute.”
“Yeah, I’ll be cute when I’m punching your lights out!” She said between clenched teeth.
WHY did I just see a chibi-Tereya punching me and doing no damage? I turned my head to keep from laughing. “What?!” She hissed. I couldn’t help it; I burst out laughing. “Na… Nothing!” I had to use the wall to hold me up. “Your just so…!” I laughed and pointed at her. Her face flushed and she stomped her foot.
“Stop it, and that’s an order!” I stopped and smirked at her. “Oh, so now there orders?” She glared at me. “I figured that if I worded it like that you’d stop.” I shrugged. “It worked.” I said as the bell rang. She brushed passed me like she had never even talking to me. Like I was just some stranger in her way. She walked over to a bunch of people I had never seen. (Well, I probably did, I just don’t pay attention to people unless they piss me off or are my friends.) I noticed how she smiled when she was with them. I couldn’t help but notice how it was off. Someone who didn’t know her all that well wouldn’t of noticed, but I did.
It wasn’t real.
I realized after staring long enough. I had seen her real smile, and they hadn’t. I smiled to myself as I walked to class, my own little secret dancing in my head.
[End notes: The song Tereya was listening to was "Sonic Boomb" by Maaya Sakamoto, also from the anime Tsubasa Chronicle.
Here's the translation for the short clip of the song:
“Quickly, to the most important person in the world to me
I might really lose you
If things continue on like this
So before that happens
I will bring you the answer that I had decided from a long time ago
And change my feelings into reality.”]
Chapter 9
Title: Drowning in Euphoria NOT DONE; Chapter 16
[Author's notes: *You’re more like a man- if Japanese men like sweets, it’s considered to be girly, so they have a tendency to avoid them, more or less.
Is it odd that I wrote this in the tub? lol]
Gym class: Woo- fun stuff. I had gym with- guess who? Guess, guess!
No seriously, guess because I have no idea who half of these people were.
I just new Tereya was in my gym class, and we had swimming. Oh… SWIMMING… And she had a TWO PIECE…
Please tell me that I don’t sound like a horny high school boy right now?
…No?
Hey!
I am NOT a horny-high-school-YURI!
…That often… Okay sorry. Just the though of seeing her in a two piece sends me off the deep end.
Hee-he. Get it?
Okay sorry, I’ll stop.
Really though. It makes me excited for swimming- despite the fact that I can’t… Not very well anyway… And yeah, being a dog, that’s uh… the ONLY swimming technique I know and can do correctly. Regular strokes almost drown me, and if I’m in water above my head, I freak and end up drowning myself.
Not Fun.
So yeah. Gym locker rooms, woo! Girls stripping out of clothing to reveal pretty panties and matching bra sets. I always feel awkward in the girls gym locker room. My face always heats and I feel awkward about changing in front of other girls- like my body has some weird dieses that I don’t want anyone to see.
I went down there a bit late because I was talking to the coach, so before I even opened the door, my face heated thinking of all of the girls that weren’t just changing- they were STRIPPING. As in, like, ASS NAKED. I melted. If I seriously was a guy, I’d totally have to skip gym to relieve myself. I gulped and opened the door.
…I wanted to slam it and run out. The first thing I see is Tereya in nothing but her skirt, and in the midst of taking off her bra. I couldn’t do that though, so I just awkwardly walked to my locker, looking like I had a fever because of my red face. “Gha, Trish, I can’t get this off, can you help me?” The girl named “Trish” (Which was probably short for something) was a frog. (You can usually tell because of the freckles on their face, sometimes on the rest of their body, and bright green hair that was the color of Lilly pads.) She walked over to Tereya. Her fingers touched a small amount of naked skin as she undid her bra, which fell off her shoulders in such a manner… Hnnn…
I buried my face in my locker for a minute, feigning getting my things. I clumsily went over to a stall, dropping things along the way. My face was hot. “Hey, Mutt!” Tereya called me. I turned around, face still red. “You okay?” She laughed, as she stripped of her skirt to reveal faint pink panties. Trish was also stripping next to her, not saying much. Frogs were more of less “one-worders”. I nodded and wiped around. She sauntered over to me, hips swaying more that needed and her tail curled around her hip.
“I didn’t know you changed in the stalls. Doesn’t seem like you.” She said, dainty fingers touching my shoulder.
“You honestly don’t know shit about me.” I spat. (Although it didn’t come out as harsh as I wanted it to.)
She giggled, obviously amused. “You feel awkward in the locker rooms, don’t you?” She whispered in my ear, silently noting the fact that I was a closet yuri. I rounded my shoulder to get her fingers off of me. She giggled and whispered again, “So you’d feel awkward if I stripped of my underwear behind you right now. Oohh, poor puppy fantasizing about naughty things, nee?” I whipped around to face her, face red from embarrassment and anger. She giggled and evil, high-pitched laugh and left me alone to pick a stall to strip in.
I felt like it was a waste of money to go out and but bathing suits, so I usually used the school one. (I know your like, where the HELL did she get a bathing suit from -school one or not- when she didn’t even know she had gym? Well, some students don’t get their schedule chance in time, so the school as bathing suits reserved for that purpose, which I just go and use anyway.)
It was indigo and had a white strip over the chest for your name to be written on. It was a one piece that seemed like a dress- besides the fact that it stopped WAY to short and had built in bottoms in it. (They were kind of like mini-shorts.) I quickly stripped, just to as quickly, if not faster, put the bathing suit on. I took a hair tie out of the pocket of my jeans that were on the small bench in the stall and put my hair up.
I came out and quickly shoved everything into the compact locker and shut it, leaving my towel by my bag.
I hurried out to the pool, as much as I dreaded getting into it. Tereya was already out there sitting on the bleachers with her towel around her waist, giggling with a different girl about girly things that makes girls giggle. Stuff of that sort.
I sat at the opposite end and just waited for everyone else to come out so we could get this over with.
Perks: I got to see lots of lovely sights
Downfall: I hate swimming, and Tereya was going to watch me embarrass myself.
I sighed, which for some reason, the girl behind me nudge me with her knees. “Hn?” I tipped my head back to look at her. She was a wolf, a.k.a., Ookami. “Hm? Oh, I’m sorry.” She said, realizing she must of nudged me. “No biggie.” I said simply, turning my attention back to the dreaded mass of water.
“…Did you know that there going to MAKE us take the swimming test?” She asked suddenly. “Huh? But that’s unfair!” I pouted, turning to my side to talk to the girl better. “I know right! I like water and all, but what if we drown?” I nodded. “I’m alright as long as my feel touch the floor, otherwise I freak. They can’t really MAKE us, can they?”
“If I drown and almost die, I’m SO suing.” She said, which got me to laugh. “If we do it at the same time, think we have better chances of winning?”
“CAN we sue the same people at the same time?” We both laughed. “Names Oura Ookamineruka. You call just call me Oura. I’m a junior, class 4-A.”
“Urusai, sophomore, class 2-D. Yoroshiku.” I said, nodding. She flashed me a smile with a set of nice, white, canine incisors. I had to admit I was a bit jealous of them. Her hair was the same color as her ears and tail, a light grey, almost white looking. Her hair was so fluffy, you couldn’t even see her ears because they blended in besides the pink undertone. She had a single part that was braded, and her eyes were aquatic and at the same time, electric. A fitting combo for someone such as herself.
Oura’s faded grey tail flicked, and her right ear twitched. “Coach’s coming.” She said, and stood stick straight like she was in a Nazi training camp, and coach was Hitler. I laughed. “Sshh. I know some people like ‘em straight out of the concentration camp, but oddly enough, I found out coach likes ‘em girly.” I laughed. “Seriously?” She lost her pose and nodded. “Weird right? For a muscular guy like him? I was even starting to think the guy was one of those types that is in love with himself.” I burst into fit of laughter- only because I could see it. Coach in the mirror eyeing down himself, posing and getting himself turned on.
“Oh my gods, can’t you just see him in the mirror, extra muscled up-”
“Posing and getting turned on!” We both were laughing so hard we were clutching our stomachs and so loud everyone was staring and deathly silent.
I felt someone smack the back of my head. “Will you shut up already?” Tereya hissed. “Coach is waiting for you two to shut up so we can start!”
“Hey!” Oura said, standing up. “What makes you think you have the right to go hitting people like that?!” She growled.
“Oura, sit, it’s fine.” I said, monotone, but keeping an eye on Tereya the entire time.
“Alright, if you two are done,” Coach started. We both covered our mouths and snickered, both probably imagining the same thing.
“Now I need you all to do warm ups, so pick a partner.”
Oura wrapped her arms around me like I was her new screw buddy, and made a big show of putting her leg over mine, and laughed. I gripped for her, imitating a b rated movie’s version of lust, and laughed too.
It was cool. We just, clicked.
We laughed again and got up to stretch and do warm ups. There was more space at the end of the pool (by the deep end… Hhnm… >.
How To Explain by The Cat Empire
(subject to change this)
When a room becomes an altar
And what beast that must exist
It flies with music from our lips
And steals a kiss and blows it
Out into the mist
Where castles stand on cliffs
And cobbled streets they wind and drift
And moods are made and set but shift
This place where skies are low
And birds are big
We went to sleep in day
And woke again the same day
We have learned to cheat the time
And find the hours
That the clocks cannot define
As I looked up from that stage
I felt the thing that had been made
And how it raged
And how it raged
How to explain?
Something makes me howl
And shiver to the core
Ah outside if it was raining
Then inside there'd be a storm
We've got a pair of hands for climbing
And a pair of knees to spring
And a pair of balls for strength
And a pair of lungs to sing
And these simple chords
That say: music is the language of us all
To write these songs is to be written
Ah the chorus always knows
What is in store
And what is more the thing that sings us
Is the thing that makes us roar
I felt that beast 'kisso my neck
We clapped our hands
And heard them spread
There was a trumpet and a call
A pack of Spaniards screamed for more
Music is the language of us all
Music is the language of us all
Music is the language of us all
Music is the language of us all
I find it hard to speak emotional
Cos these things are the things that
Can't be said
And when it's struck it strikes
The memory from our heads
Once I wrote to play's
To be immortal for a night
And despite the unknown hours
Something happens
When the light turns out the lights
Then we fade and yawn
To music that's the language of us all]
