Chapter 5

Title: A Heart Felt Reunion

[Author's notes: Thanks for reading and please review! Also thanks to Angelface for once again helping with this chappie.]

Jocelyn grabbed her beach bag. She couldn’t wait to go to the pool. She smiled to herself. She was planning to meet her friends down by the pool. She ran out the door and walked towards the pool. It is such a perfect day for a long walk and a good swim.

Clair grabbed her sun block and jumped into the car with her boyfriend. They were headed to the pool for a nice relaxing day. Nothing like a good swim to make a relaxing day.

Jocelyn smiled as she plopped down into a chair beside her new best friend. His name was Daniel, and he was very much gay. He wasn’t one of those guys who just screamed gay. He is one of those hot guys who make you think, "Oh my God! He’s gay!"

What made her enjoy it even more was the face of the girls that ask him out when he informed them he was gay. She would laugh every time.

Jocelyn sat up to grab her water bottle when she spotted a familiar face playing in the water with who appeared to be her boyfriend. "Oh my God!"

"What’s your problem?" Daniel inquired.

"You see that girl right there?" Jocelyn pointed with a finger.

"Yeah. What about her? You got the hots for her or something?"

"No. Well, yes, but that is not the point. That is Clair." She had a worried expression now.

"Clair. Like video tape Clair?" He sat up to take a closer look.

"Yep, that’s the one." She looked at him.

"So do you want to leave? ‘Cause if you two run into each other it is going to be awkward." He cocked an eyebrow at her.

She sighed. "Yeah, I think that is probably best." They both got up to leave.

The two friends gathered their things and headed for the exit while trying not to be seen. Suddenly something hit the back of her head.

She heard a guy yell, "Oh, sorry about that. Hey could you throw it back?"

Jocelyn leaned over and grabbed the pool toy. She turned around to look at who was yelling at her.

To her surprise it was the boy playing with Clair. He was poking her making her giggle. He stopped and put his hands up to receive the toy. Clair turned around to see who held the toy. She stopped smiling, and her eyes grew wide.

"Jocelyn?" She murmured it barely loud enough for Jocelyn to hear.

"Uh, yeah." Jocelyn blushed. "Here is your toy back." She threw the boy the toy.

"Thanks." He screamed back.

Jocelyn and Clair continued to look at each other for a moment to long. Jocelyn broke the gaze. She turned around and headed for the exit.

"Wait!" Clair yelled as she pulled herself out of the water. She ran up to Jocelyn. "Can we talk?"

"Uh, sure." Jocelyn stammered.

"Uh, alone and in private?" She blushed.

"Ok. Let’s um go to my house. It is only about two miles from here." Jocelyn blushed deep feeling her body getting hotter than the already hot temperatures.

"It is hot out here. I can drive you two?" Daniel interjected.

"Yeah, that would be great." Jocelyn looked at him with a thank you.

Clair screamed to her group that she would be leaving for a little while and then they were off.

The car was as silent as the grave on the drive there.

What does she want to talk about?

I need to apologize. I need her to understand.

"Well we’re here." Daniel broke through the silence.

Clair hurried out of the car. "Wow, your house is big."

"Now where have I heard that before?" Jocelyn said in a sarcastic voice. "Clair go ahead to the door. I need to thank Daniel."

"Oh, okay." She jogged up to the door and turned to look at them.

"Anyways, thank you for driving us."

"No problem. Just be careful." He said in a happy tone.

"What are you talking about?" Jocelyn looked suspiciously at him.

"Let me put it to you this way, if you were a guy, I would tell you to use a condom." He giggled.

"You are so not even funny." She looked evilly at him. "It is so not even like that."

"Whatever, just call me after you two get done having hot smex." He grinned.

"I am going to kill you." She leaned over and pretended to choke him. She smiled and then jumped out of the car.

He smiled and winked at her. "Have fun!" He quickly sped away before she could comment on what he had said.

She rolled her eyes and walked to the door. She got out her key and unlocked it.

Clair and she walked into the house as a cool blast hit them.

"You two seem very close. Is he your boyfriend?" She looked at Jocelyn.

She laughed out loud at that question. "He is very gay. Like Peter Pan in tights gay."

"Are you serious? He doesn’t look it." She made a shocked look.

Jocelyn shrugged her shoulders. "Do you want anything to drink?"

"Water is fine."

"Ok." Jocelyn disappeared for a few minutes while Clair just stood there.

Jocelyn came back with a bottled Pepsi, bottled water, and a bag of chips. "Let’s go up to my room to talk."

Clair followed her obediently. It feels like nothing has changed, but she seems so different.

I wonder what Clair is thinking. What does she want to talk about?

They arrived at her room. Jocelyn grabs a long shirt out her drawer and puts it on. She grabs another and throws it to Clair. Clair mirrors what Jocelyn had just done.

Jocelyn plopped on the bed in front of Clair. "Talk." That was all she said.

"I wanted to tell you that I am sorry about what happened. That leader girl of yours had a lackey that came and talked to me after the incident. He told me everything. It seemed he felt bad about everything that had happened. He told me about all the things that girl had said and done to you." Clair had walked up to Jocelyn and now had her palm cupped against Jocelyn’s cheek. Jocelyn shivered at the touch.

"But I am no better than she is. I put you into the situation that made everything go wrong. I am just so…sorry!" She sighed and looked down.

Clair sat down in front of Jocelyn to make her look at her. "You are not like she is. You decided to stop. You never did anything to hurt me. You were more or less tricked. Plus, when it really counted, you saved my life. I will never be able to thank you enough for that." Clair laid her head into Jocelyn’s lap. "I just wished I could have told you sooner." She closed her eyes.

Jocelyn petted Clair’s head lightly. An internal conflict was going on in her head. If I kiss her things could go back to something like they were, but she has a boyfriend. But that kiss could lead to a lot more and my body would get the touch it has been eagerly waiting for, but what if she doesn’t want it? What do I do?

She looked down at Clair and sighed. While trying to figure out what to do her petting had put Clair to sleep.

Jocelyn lightly picked up Clair’s head and moved out from under it. She then scooped her up softly and placed her on the bed. Jocelyn grabbed a book and sat down at the foot of the bed and started to read it.

When Clair woke up, several hours later, Jocelyn was nowhere in sight. She got up and yawned. She walked out of Jocelyn’s room and headed downstairs to see if she could find Jocelyn.

When Clair got downstairs, she realized that Jocelyn wasn’t in the living room, but she heard talking in the kitchen. She peeked into the door to see Jocelyn was in there joking around with her now remarried parents. She is so much happier now.

Jocelyn spotted Clair and waved for her to come in.

"Hey sleepy head. You remember my parents, right?" She smiled.

"Yeah. Hi again." She was somewhat nervous.

"Well, long time no see. We’re happy that you have taken time to visit our home."

"Oh, uh, thanks." She blushed.

"Well, as much as we would like to catch up, we have got to be going." They smiled as they headed out the door. Each one gave Jocelyn a kiss and then were gone out the back door.

"Where are they going?" Clair looked at Jocelyn questioningly.

"They are going on an over night business trip."

"Oh. I think I need to call my parents. They are probably freaking right now."

Jocelyn smiled at her. "My parents have already covered it. They got your parents number out of your phone and called them. My mom told your dad that you are spending the night here."

"Oh. Well I kinda wish I had clothes." She looked down at herself and realized she was still in a bathing suit.

Jocelyn got up and walked over to Clair. "You can wear some of my pajamas. They will be kinda long though. Are you hungry?"

"A little." Her stomach growled at the thought of food. "Okay, maybe I haven’t eaten all day."

Jocelyn laughed at her and made Clair two sandwiches and a salad.

Clair quickly ate, and then the girls headed up to Jocelyn’s room.

Jocelyn grabbed her shirt back from Clair as Clair took pajamas and underwear from Jocelyn.

She went into the bathroom and quickly changed. When she returned, she stuffed her bikini into her bag. Her phone rang, which made her jump. She looked at it and clicked silence before throwing it back into her bag.

"Who was that?" Jocelyn turned around to look at Clair.

"Oh, it is just Michael."

"Michael? Isn’t he your boyfriend?"

"Yeah, how did you know?"

"Just a lucky guess by the way you were playing with him at the pool."

"Oh." That is all Clair could reply. She plopped down on Jocelyn’s bed with a worried expression. "What are you doing?"

"I am writing a note to myself to not forget to call Daniel later to tell him to return my shirt that I dropped in his car on the way here." She stopped what she was doing and walked over and sat beside Clair. "So, do you love him?’

"Um, he is a really nice guy." Clair looked down.

Jocelyn studied Clair and continued, "But that doesn’t answer my question. Do you love him?"

She looked at Jocelyn with a need to tell the truth. "I don’t."

"Good." Jocelyn got up and moved close to her television. "Do you want to watch something?"

"Any love stories?" She asked with an awkward grin.

"Uh, how about the Wedding Crashers? It is romcom." She looked back at Clair for approval.

"What is romcom?"

"Oh, sorry. It means a romantic comedy."

"Oh, well I have seen the movie but I like it, so let’s watch it."

Jocelyn turned on the movie and off the lights. She and Jocelyn laid against her backboard while they watched the movie.

Jocelyn looked over at Clair. She seemed to really be into the movie. Jocelyn smiled softly. She could feel her face get warm. Suddenly, Clair leaned her head a little forward and tucked her hair behind her ears. Jocelyn could not help but to wonder what she was doing.

Clair Slowly laid her head onto Jocelyn’s lap. Jocelyn blushed harder. She could feel that place between her legs starting to heat up. She turned her attention back to the movie, hoping to drive away this feeling.

Soon the movie was over. Clair pushed off of Jocelyn’s lap to allow Jocelyn to cut off the movie.

"Well it is getting late. We should probably go to bed now." Jocelyn said while trying to avoid Clair’s gaze.

"Well I just woke up like three hours ago, so I am not really tired yet."

Jocelyn stood up and faced Clair. "Well what do you want to do?"

"I don’t know." Clair laid down on her side and gave Jocelyn a puzzled look.

Wow, she looks so cute. Jocelyn crawled up onto the bed and leaned over Clair.

"What?" Clair looked confusingly into Jocelyn’s lustful gaze.

Jocelyn leaned over and kissed Clair. She only gave her four or five small pecks and then she sat up and leaned against the backboard beside Clair.

Clair sat up and looked at Jocelyn. "What was that about?"

Jocelyn shrugged her shoulders. "It’s because I wanted to."

Clair blushed intensely. Should I kiss her back? She laid her head softly onto Jocelyn's lap and sighed.

"Is something wrong?"Jocelyn tenderly petted her head.

Clair sat up and gave Jocelyn a serious look. "You can't...We can't... do stuff like this. I have a boyfriend and none of this is fair to him."

Jocelyn looked nonchalantly at Clair. "Jeez, you act like we're going to have sex. It was just a few little pecks on the lips."

"It is still cheating."

"No it's not. You are over reacting. You need to just chill. Plus you don't even love him. If it bothers you so fucking much, maybe we shoudn't sleep in the same room." Jocelyn got up and headed out the door. "I'll just go sleep down stairs. Do whatever the fuck you want to entertain yourself before you go to sleep." She slammed the door shut.

Clair stared at the door confusingly. Ugh, what was I thinking coming here? Why did I think things could be normal again? I just want to be her friend again. No, I don't know what I want.

What did she hope to accomplish by coming here? Did she think everything would be normal? Did she seriously think that there would be no tension between us? Jocelyn sighed as she plopped down on the couch and laid her head onto one of the pillows.

A few moments later Jocelyn felt a presence behind the couch. "What do you want?"

"I'm sorry. Please come back up stairs."

"Why? You'll probably do something you might regret if I am up there."

"It's not like that. I just don't want to do wrong to anybody and I don't want to hurt anyone."

Jocelyn sat up and looked at Clair's hurt filled eyes. "No matter what you choose to do, someone is going to get hurt, but if you really do not wish to hurt that boy, then stay with him and go up stairs and pretend none of this ever happened. Go to sleep and in the morning walk away from this house and don't look back. It has been over half a year since we saw each other and both our lives seem to be going by with no problems. If we never see each other again our lives will be no different. So go upstairs and just forget it all. It will be less painful for both of us this way." Jocelyn laid back on the couch and turned away from Clair.

Jocelyn heard small sobs escaping from the girl behind her. She sighed and sat up to look at her. Clair has knelt down and buried her face in her hands pushing back sobs. Jocelyn got up off the couch and made her way over to Clair. "What do you want? Who do you want?"

"I don't...know...sniff...what I want, but...who I want...sniff...is you." Clair sobs started to come at a steadier pace.

Jocelyn scooped Clair into her arms and started to carry her upstairs. Clair buried her red face into Jocelyn's shoulder.

When they reached the room, neither one dared to say a word. Jocelyn softly laid Clair on the bed. Clair curled up into a ball while small sobs still leaked from her lips.

Jocleyn laid on the other side of the bed and turned around and gently spooned Clair from behind. Jocelyn reached her head over to Clair's ear and softly spoke, "Everything is going to be okay, just go to sleep." Clair flipped around and snuggled into Jocelyn's chest. Soon slumber found it's way into both girls.

Jocelyn openned her eyes drowsily as she heard a faint ringing sound. She look over to her nightstand and saw her phone lighting up. She slipped her hand from Clair's back and reached over as gently as she could to keep from arousing Clair.

"Hello?"

"So how'd it go?" Daniel said in a chipper morning voice.

"What are you talking about?" Jocelyn returned in a whisped annoyed voice.

"Uh, hello? The fact that I left you on your doorstep with a smokin' hot blond. So what did you two do?"

"We talked and then she left. Happy?" Jocelyn was getting increasingly annoyed.

"Yeah, sure whatever you say. So how does it fell to have her asleep with you?"

"What are you talking about? I told you she left."

"Riiiiggghht, so why are you whispering?"

"I...uh...damn!"

"That is what I though. So what really happened?"

"Well we did talk and I kissed her, but she flipped out, but then she told me I am who she wants, but it is also painfully obvious that she has some serious internal conflicts going on."

"Well that is to be expected. I mean I went through hell and high water with my feelings when I first figured out I was gay and it became even worse when I figured out my first boyfriend was cheating on me, but I got over it."

"I don't think this is quite the same senario."

"No, but it is close. Well it is actually more like all the things I went through with Tom. Tom and I were also childhood friends. He was the first person I ever told I was gay and he helped me with all my boy troubles. It just makes my heart heat up at the thought that I can finally call him my own. I love the sweet taste of his kiss..."

"Uh, Daniel? Do I need to give you a moment alone?"

"What? Uh, no. Sorry, I got sidetracked there for a moment."

"So, I can tell. So am I right in the assumption that you probably have Tom asleep in your bed right now?"

"That obvious huh?"

"As obvious as the fact that I was whispering."

"I am so glad Tom was able to spend the night with me, but I am even more glad for you."

"What? Why?"

"Because that girl was the only thing you talked about when you first moved to our school. It was pretty obvious that you were head over heels for her. So I am really glad that she has returned back to you."

"Thanks. Well I better let you go." Jocelyn was now staring down at a very much awake Clair staring back at her.

"Ok, well I will talk to you later ttyl."

"Ttyl." Jocelyn shut the phone. "Good morning sunshine." The sun was shining slightly though the window illuminating Clair's hair giving her the appearance of a morning angel.

"Good morning. Was that Daniel?"

"Yeah, he wanted to know about how things went with you."

"Oh. Uh, we should probably get up." Clair sat up and stretched. Jocelyn marveled at the clothes that hung loosely over Clair.

"What is the rush?" Jocelyn grabbed Clair by the shoulders and forced her back into a laying position.

"I guess there is no rush." She laid on her side and looked Jocelyn in the eyes.

"You look really beautiful in the morning." Jocelyn reached over and ran her fingers though Clair's golden hair.

Jocelyn leaned over and gave Clair a small peck on the lips. She leaned back and looked at Clair. "Is this ok?"

"Yeah...I uh...think so." Clair had streaks of red doing a morning jog across her face.

Jocelyn kissed her a few more times on the lips and then moved to Clair's neck. She softly let her lips run gently over her neck. She licked the girl's neck and the softly nibbled at it. She continued on to suck on it for a bit. Suddenly she heard her door swing open and her mom hopped inside. "Good morning ladies." She said in an annoying mom tone.

Clair froze where she was and Jocelyn let a sigh slip out onto Clair's neck. She turned to look at her mom. "Good morning to you too. What's up?" She said in an annoyed voice.

Her mom took a minute to realize what she had interupted. She blushed and said, "Sorry to disturb you, but I made breakfast this morning and it is getting cold, so come on down and eat." She quickly exited the room.

Jocelyn sat up and looked down at Clair's tense body. "You okay?"

"I'm fine. I thought your mom wouldn't return until later."

"My parents are weird, they show up whenever they want to. Now come on. It is not very often that she makes breakfast, but it is delicious when she does, so let's go enjoy it." Jocleyn smiled and looked at Clair. The blond was clearly still blushing. Jocelyn looked at Clair's neck and noticed little marks were starting to form.

"Oops, you probably want to cover those up first." Jocleyn giggled.

"Huh?" Clair pulled a mirror out of her bag and looked at her neck. "You gave me a hickey?!"

"Yeah, uh sorry about that. Do you have your stuff to cover it with?"

Clair looked seriously at Jocelyn. "I don't know. I have never had a hickey before."

Jocelyn laughed. "Really?" Clair nodded. "Do you have liquid or powder concealer?"

"Liquid."

"That's good it will be easier to use the liquid. Hand it here." She showed Clair how to cover the hickey with makeup.

"There you go, well now that we're done with that, how about we go eat breakfast?"

"Okay." Clair smiled at Jocelyn, but her cheeks were still a deep maroon.

Clair and Jocelyn hurriedly finished breakfast. Clair thanked Jocelyn's mom for her breakfast and then they headed back upstairs.

"You can wear some of my clothes home, since you have none here."

"Thanks, so your dad is driving me home. Are you coming too?"

"Of course. I wouldn't make you drive with my dad by yourself. That would be akward." Jocelyn handed Clair some clothes.

Clair went to the bathroom and changed as quickly as possible. She came back to an already changed Jocleyn.

"Well get your stuff and let's go." Clair nodded.

Clair and Jocelyn walked down the stairs in silence, but they had there hand intertwined.

Jocleyn opened the door to the back seat of her dad's car to allow Clair to enter first. She then stepped in behind her.

The car ride was quite, but the two girl's sat close to each other with their hands clamped together. When they arrived at Clair's house, Jocelyn leaned over and gave Clair a small peck on the lips.

"See ya later."

Clair stepped out of the car and turned to reply. "Bye." She waved as Jocleyn's father pulled out of the driveway.

Clair ran up to her door. She sighed softly as she opened the door. "Mom, dad, I'm home!"

"She seems nice." Jocelyn's father said to her as they drove home.

"Yeah, I just hope things go smoothly with her."

"Don't worry sweety things will work out for the best." He smiled at his daughter. They finished their drive in silence.
