Chapter 1

I looked up at the blank white ceiling emotionless, while he penetrated himself inside me. I was use to it, the pain. I blocked it out trying to remember the past, before, when my mother was still alive. Her gentle touch and soft voice that always comforted me. All the days we spent together doing meaningless  things  that mean so much since she’s past away. How did my once perfect life come to this? I ask myself over and over trying to forget about the pain, the way you do when your lover leaves  you for some other unimportant being in this world. I sway in and out of consciousness  faint memories of before it came to this running through my head. Before I met her, before my dad was a drunk, before mother left me behind on this god forbidden earth, before I lost myself completely.
I stared at the green scenery flashing past my eyes, as the silver Camero I rode in sped down the empty road. I already knew this was going to be a long trip, it would be longest I’d ever rode in a car at least twelve hours. I should be excited, any fourteen year old should have been excited about moving to Las Angeles, shouldn’t they? Growing up in a rural town wasn’t the most exciting thing, but it would just make it harder on me moving somewhere I had no friends or no one to talk to. Of course its not like we had much of a choice. Seeing as we wouldn’t have anywhere to stay if my dad hadn’t taken this job. I shouldn’t be complaining it could be much worse.
“What is it honey? Are you getting car sick already?” my mom’s gentle voice asked.
"No I’m fine." I replied continuing to stare out my window.
“Are you sure?” she asked turning her head slightly to look at me.
"I’m fine." I said coldly shifting uncomfortably, from her looking at me. She turned back around without replying.
Hours later my mom awoke me telling me that we we're almost there and we had stopped to eat, since we hadn’t had lunch I was starving. We stopped at a small fast food restaurant off of the interstate  to eat, which wasn’t a very good choice for me considering I’m a vegetarian. "What am I suppose to eat here?" I asked in a low tone looking at my parents.
“Well I’m sure they have salads here, honey.” my mother said reassuringly.
"Whatever." I replied crossing my arms following behind them into the fast food restraunt. I sat down at an empty table, while my parents ordered. Glancing around I noticed a girl around my age maybe a year older sitting with a few other girls looking at me. A little uncomfortable I got up and headed toward the women’s restroom. I splashed my heated face with water looking up at my reflection in the mirror. I hated the way I looked. My pale white skin and  shoulder length dark brown hair wasn’t like the style of  clothes that I wore. A black tee-shirt with black fishnets underneath, and a jean skirt with black leggings. Not  to mention my black Osiris skating shoes. Sighing I turned to dry my hands off, they are out of paper towels. "Damnit!" I exclaimed to myself “now what am I suppose to do?”
“Here use this.” an unfamiliar voice said from behind me. I turned around shocked to see the girl from before inches away from me holding out some napkins with a weird looking logo on them.
“Thanks.” I said shyly taking them from her slim hands. I examined her thoroughly. She was a bit taller than me, with short burgundy dyed hair, and tan skinned wearing baggier boy clothes. “Umm so when did you….“ I started to ask when she cut in.
“I came in when you were cursing to yourself.” she said smiling at me.
“Oh.” I said a little embarrassed with my behavior. “Yeah sorry about that I’m just a little stressed.”  I said forcing a smile on my face.
“Hey no problem that’s normal of us teenagers right?” she told me looking at me with her bright blue eyes, making my cheeks flush.
“Yeah.” I Agreed looking down at the checker patterned floor so to avoid her gaze.
“I haven’t seen you around this part where did you come from?” She asked holding her gaze.
“Well we are moving here from Iowa.” I replied still staring down at the tile floor.
“Oh really? What school are you starting, I live here too.” she asked smiling down at my red tinted face.
I’m suppose to start Jefferson High Monday. I said glancing up at her.
“Awesome, that’s the school I’m going to. So you in nineth?” she asked.
“Yep.” I said a small smile showing on my face.
“Well I guess I’ll see you in class then. huh?” she said tuning to leave the bathroom as an older woman walked in.

“Sure.” I said quietly to myself staring at the stained wall of the bathroom.
