Blood…Blood everywhere. I lay there breathing hard. Where am I? I looked around and tried to get up, but I'm chained to the wall. I looked down seeing that I was still dressed in a red kimono top and black kimono bottoms with a red and black striped obi holding them around my waist. Just as I looked up someone walked into the room. “Jordon,” my brother looked at me with emotionless eyes. “Unchain me, help me escape, brother!” He knew I was desperate but he just looked at me.
“No.” A smirk appeared on his face and I realized he was the one that brought me here. “You’re out of control. You should be caged!” I knew he was wrong. Of coarse he was wrong. I shook my head and he laughed bitterly. “I can’t believe dad picked you to be the heir to the throne!” My eyes widened and Jason spat at me in disgust. “You can’t even control your demon blood!”
I growled at him then. He went too far! “You don’t even know what it feels like to have demon blood you filthy human!” I yelled and he smacked me with such force my head snapped to the side. “You’re just mad because you were adopted out of pity when my dad thought my mother couldn’t give birth!” I knew I pissed him off. His eyes darkened with anger and he smacked me again and again.
Suddenly he stopped and sighed. His faced had an emotionless mask on and he unchained me. “I gave you a potion that erases your memories…all of them.” I looked at him in horror and he smirked. “Get out of here before I kill you!” I ran out the room and out the small house he abused me in. I looked around but all I saw was forest, thick forest.
I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder, back, and head. “Damn…” I looked at my shoulder to see it was bloody. A wave of brutal pain pounded against my head and I fell to me knees. “I got to get away from here.” I got up and ran into the forest my demonic agility taking me far away. Another shot of pain danced in my head and my vision got blurry. “No…I can’t forget.” Darkness…Cold darkness, am I dead?
When I woke up, I heard birds singing happily in the background. I didn’t immediately open my eyes, but as soon as I did I wished I didn’t. The sun shone out brightly and burned my eyes, aiding my headache to become stronger. “I see you’re up.” I look to my side to see a woman with black hair smiling at me. She had a basket of some plants in it. She was clad in blue kimono tied with a white obi.
“Do I know you?” She shook her head and I sighed. I tried to get up but a sharp pain in my shoulder stopped me. “Damn it!” I shouted and the woman rushed to my side placing the basket next to her.
“Don’t get up.” I looked at her eyes and saw concern in those green irises. “What’s your name?” She asked as she took of the top part of my kimono. She took the bandages that she must’ve put on and replaced them with new ones.
“I don’t know.” The woman looked at me and sighed. She closed her eyes and licked her lips. It took all my will power to not kiss her. “I don’t know where I came from or who I am…I forgot.” I whispered and she opened her eyes.
“It’s ok; you probably hit your head or something.” I shifted a little and she helped me put on my top and I tried to get up but she gave me a look that told me ‘if you get up I’m going to put salt in your wounds’, but what she said next surprised me. “I’m glad you’re alright. When I saw you, your back was all cut up and your shoulder had stab wounds.” Suddenly flashes of a man beating me with a whip filled my mind and my breath came out in gasps. “Hey, are you alright?” I didn’t get to answer, darkness surrounded me and I pasted out.
