Title: Chapter 2 - Camp Pawa

[Author's notes: Arriving at camp, things seem the same, but a dark but beautiful stranger turns the camping experience into something very interesting.]

Chapter Two - Camp Pawa

Camp Pawa had not changed any in they year since Mandy had been there. The three main buildings of the dining hall, recreation hall and the first aid building looked exactly like it had. The cabins that dotted around the large open drive area were freshly painted, but other than that, were also the same.

The mass of children had been unloaded, and were checking the bulletin board for their names and which cabin they were to be assigned into. The crowd jostled and moved almost like a unsynchronized ballet, as one kid found his or her name, another one quickly stepped up to do the same.

Mandy looked for her name for her assigned cabin quickly, hoping that she would have one of the newer ones that were nearest the waters of Lake Pawa, or at least have a direct path to the dining hall..

" Did you see my name there?" Asked Donna, who stood just behind the dark haired lass.

" Find your own there... I have not found mine yet." Replied back Mandy, half ignoring the pushy girl.

Mandy found her name, and she was assigned to Senior cabin number five. She was sort of happy about the placement she had been handed, as that particular cabin was one of the better ones in Camp Pawa. The cabin was one of the smaller ones, just past the dock to the boats and right next to the bathrooms. The cabin only had six beds in it, plus one extra for a live in councillor

" I have number five." She said, as Donna elbowed her way past and got to the bulletin board.

" Me too." The red head squealed. " We are cabin buddies again."

That was not a surprise to Mandy, she always ended up with Donna as a cabin mate. She sighed and walked off. With Donna in the cabin, she knew that the girl’s bouts of earthshaking snoring would make the time living there interesting. She giggled, as if there might be a new girl in the cabin, she may or may not enjoy it too much hearing the jet engine that was Donna..

Gathering up her suitcase and her bookbag from the pile left by the bus driver, Mandy hurried to get to the cabin, as others raced around the dirt paths to do the same like ants at a picnic.

The little cabin was very clean, painted a odd shade of off white and had new linens on the beds. Mandy noted that on every headboard, was a name written on a brownish-grey piece of cardboard. She looked around the small space, to see just where her bed would be for the next month.

On the left hand side of the room were three beds that were lined up, the middle bed had the name ‘ Mandy Thayer’ emblazoned in red marker on the headboard.

" There it is..." She thought to herself, moving to where it was.

The bed was right under the small window, with its school locker type of cabinet sitting beside it. She looked at it and shrugged. It was not much to look at, but it was going to be home for the time being. She set to work unpacking some things into the cabinet, stowing the rest of it still in her suitcase and pushing it under the bed. She knew the drill perfectly by now, maximize your space, that what Lacy always said. She missed hearing that..

Done in a matter of minutes, Mandy took a look at the other names of the beds on both sides of her. She was hoping that she would not draw Donna to be sleeping right next to her. At this close of range, it would be almost impossible to ignore the girl if she started her ‘buzzsaw’ routine at night, that horrible noise she made could literally scrape the paint off of walls at times.

The bed closest to the door of the cabin was Lori Casper’s bunk. She knew exactly who it was, but never had got to know her despite having her as a cabinmate for the last two years running. The girl was a extremely quiet one, to the point of disabling shyness, but she seemed to be nice enough aside from her inverted nature. She looked over to the one on her right to see who would be the other girl on this side of the cabin with her.

Mandy read the name, and did not recognize it as anyone that had been to camp before.. The cardboard read ‘ Crystal Campbell’ in the same writing as was on her’s. She let herself crack a smile, as the realization that the noisy sleeper Donna was assigned on the other side of the cabin, and that was a good thing. She knew she would get a little better sleep than those unfortunate people that were sleeping across the way.

Some of the others were coming in also, dragging their things behind themselves. There was Mary Grisson, a tall slender girl with short blonde hair that went to her school and was sort of a friend. Donna Vincent was at her bunk now, who she already knew was here and then there was Tracy McDonald. She was a very snobby cheerleader type of girl who always thought that she was above everyone else around her. The girl knew she was pretty, and would flaunt it at all just because she could. Now, only Lori and this Crystal girl was left to complete the cabin.

Demure Lori came in and quickly started to unload her stuff. The plainly dressed girl gave Mandy a shy greeting, but soon was busy with unpacking her belongings into the all too small storage they had. The girl had not changed in the least, she thought, as the girl kept her head down a little as she put her things away..

The buzzing of the room was becoming deafening, as people greeted one another as they set themselves up for the camping experience. Mandy was already done settling herself in, and was just talking with Mary, while trying to ignore the complaining of Tracy who was already spouting off about how little space she had for her clothes. It was always the same with the prima donna, and that was not changed either.

The room suddenly went hushed for a moment, as the last of the campers came in. All eyes looked over at the door, as a leather wearing figure strode in with a subtle defiance. It was the goth girl from the back of the bus, who seemed to be the final camper.

Tracy stared at the new girl, and give a sound of disgust.

" We have a freak in her this year!" She said, giving a cold look to the leather wearing girl. " We always get a freak."

" She’s a goth..." Mary said, her voice not very powerful.

" She’s still a freak! Look at her make up... looks like she was attacked by a blind cosmetician in a cemetery" Spat Tracy, making sure that the new girl could hear her ever venomous word.

The goth girl shot a cold look at Tracy for a moment, then simply ignored the words Tracy had spouted. The new girl looked around until she saw the name on the empty bed next to Mandy’s. The very tall girl hefted what appeared to be a navy issue dufflebag with surprising ease and headed straight over to the bed in question. Tracy sneered and went back to her bunk, as the rest of the people fell silent.

The girl simply shucked off her leather, stuffing it into the locker. She opened up her bag and began to shuttle things into it confines with apparent ease. She seemed to be ignoring everyone, not even making any sort of eye contact.

Mandy went over to her bed, while the others were beginning to talk about the welcome lunch that was scheduled to be served very soon. She was not really afraid of the girl, but she did make her nervous for some odd reason..

" Hi there..." Mandy said, trying to be more friendly than the others in the cabin.. " Crystal is it?"

The goth girl looked up at Mandy and seemed more than just a little surprised that the short girl had even greeted her, considering she heard the things that were being said about her. She looked at Mandy for a moment, not quite knowing how to reply.

This girl’s sleek angular face then turned up into a smile, and she looked right at Mandy with more of a friendly way. She stuck out her hand over the bed, and shook the girl’s hand

" Call me CC." She said

" Mandy... Mandy Thayer." The smaller of the two replied, a smile pouring across her face.

Looking into the deep brown eyes of the goth girl, Mandy actually felt herself shiver a little. The girl’s eyes were so alive and deep, that something inside of her felt as if it jumped, and not out of fear or anything else. The girl was mesmerizing her in a way that was so complete, and Mandy did not know why.

Mandy was going to continue speaking, but a bell rang out loud and clear from outside. Her cabin mates started to move to the door, but the black wearing girl seemed puzzled by the sound.

" That is the bell for us to gather at the Dining hall" She explained.

" For what?" The girl questioned.

" It is the traditional lunch that welcomes up to Camp Pawa." She said. " They feed us, while they explain the different activities and programs that we will be doing during our stay here.

" Cool." Said the girl, her smile making her black makeup look less menacing by the second. " Where the heck is the Dining Hall around here?"

Mandy giggled, CC seemed to be friendlier than she had expected..

" First time here at our camp?" She asked.

" I stick out like a sore thumb ‘round here... Yeah, it is!" The girl laughed, the sound was almost musical.

" Come with me... I’ll show you where to go!" Invited Mandy. " It’s not too far."

" Cool!" The girl said, as the two headed off. " Lead on!"

The rest of the day, everyone was checking out what Camp Pawa had to offer. Old favorites and new programs were on tap, which excited everybody. Even Mandy was starting to look forward to the summer, although she still would have preferred that Lacy could have been there. It helped though, that she was showing CC around, but the constant verbal barrage that Tracy was loading on to the new girl was making Mandy a little angry, but the new girl seemed to be taking int in stride.

Nighttime was on the camp, as kids started to ready themselves for the first sleep of the long summer. Crickets outside chirped their songs into the darkness, creating a blissful symphony that only could have been enjoyed in the great outdoors.

Mandy readied herself for bed, slipping on her favorite ‘Garfield’ nightshirt. She was feeling tired from the days busyness, and was looking forward to slipping into her camp bed and getting some sleep.

Mandy looked over, and saw CC reading herself for bed too. The girl had undressed fully, and slipped on a very long black teeshirt, which had the picture of a large skull holding a wilted rose in it’s teeth. The shirt was very unique and Mandy thought it was very cool looking, as it clung to the body of the goth girl. She noted that CC had taken off her makeup as well and had pulled the pigtails out of her hair, and thought to herself that she looked as beautiful as she did all gothed up.

Tracy suddenly appeared, dressed in a expensive silk nightgown. She was looking at CC dressed for bed, and gave a scoffing laugh.

" Are you going to wear that to bed?" She said with a highfaluting snuff. " Did you raid The Adams family closet or something?"

" What the hell do you find wrong with my nightshirt?" Asked CC, obviously annoyed with the girl finally.

Tracy made a face, like it should have been obvious what she was saying.

" You dress like you are going to a some sort of funeral or satanic rite and you do that on purpose??" She said dripping with sarcasm. " If you dress like a freak, people will see you as a freak."

" I dress the way I dress because that is who I am." Said CC, through gritted teeth." Got a problem with that?"

" Dressed in that what are you going to do? Sleep in a casket or hang upside down like a bat?" Shot back the blond haired girl, flipping her hair with a hand.

CC got up off her bed and looked at the blonde, staring her down. She pulled off her teeshirt and stood there completely naked and stared at the girl.

" I usually sleep naked anyway!" She calmly said, her eyes twinkling with anger. " Guess I am going to do just that, since my nightshirt seems to bother you so much, Princess."

Mandy gasped, looking at the now nude CC. The girl’s body was slim and smooth with ivory skin, her lines were trim and curvy with long athletic legs She had quite large breasts that were well rounded and were jutting out, topped by dusty pink nipples that perked out in the coolness of the cabin. The girl had no pubic hair to speak of as she obviously shaves herself, and right where the hair would have been was a bold tattoo of a winged dragon sitting on a rock.

Mandy stared at the girl, enthralled by the girl’s beauty, even naked. She could not make herself look away from the pretty goth girl.

Tracy wrinkled her face as the girl stood there defiantly in the buff. She put up her hand and shook her head.

" Ewwwh!" She said loudly. " I don’t want to see you naked.... and that Tattoo."

" Deal with it..." Smirked CC, defiantly.

Mandy moved next to the naked girl and stared at Tracy.

" She can do what she wants to, dress how she wants and even sleep in the nude if she wants.... and doesn’t need your approval for anything." She said right to Tracy. " I like the way she dresses, if you want my opinion."

" You would..." Said Tracy, turning away from the nakedness of CC. " You have always been weird anyway, Mandy, are you going to turn into a freak like her also."

" Maybe, maybe not." Mandy smirked. " I just think she is who she is."

" Are you going to sleep naked like her as well?" The girl said. " That is just ... Eeewh!!"

In response to Tracy’s words, Mandy hoisted her nightgown up and over her head and threw it on her bed, then pulled off her panties as well and deposited them with her nightshirt. She stood up straight beside the nearly half a head taller girl, now herself completely naked in support of CC, and stared down the feathered haired girl in the silk nightgown..

" Does that answer you?" Said Mandy.

Tracy gave a squeak of dislike and went back to herself of the cabin, her tongue now silenced. The others in the cabin laughed and then left without anyone speaking.

CC turned to Mandy and smiled.

" That is the first time anyone has stood up for me..." She began. " I always get that from people, just for how I am."

" I think your ok the way you are." Mandy said, trying not to star at the naked beauty as she stood there.

" Thanks!" Said CC, her voice showing her appreciation.

The goth girl smiled, then turned. She slid into bed, keeping to her word of sleeping naked. She smiled and looked at Mandy as she covered herself with the blankets.

" Good night and thanks again."

Mandy nodded, and slipped herself also into bed. Someone turned off the lights, and the cabin settled in for a good nights sleep.

Mandy layed there for awhile, her mind playing over the image of the Naked goth girl. She shivered as she thought about CC, her mind not forgetting one inch of luxuriously sleek curves the girl had. She felt herself getting wet between her legs, and the giddiness that was building in her chest, making her heart pound like crazy.

She had never felt like this before, and was a little afraid of how it made her feel. What was it about CC that was making her feel like this, she kept asking herself. All she knew was that the goth girl was right there, in her mind, as she tried to get to sleep.

She began to try and stop herself from thinking on it, but the fact that CC was only a few feet away and laying in her bed naked, excited her even more. She closed her eyes tighter, and willed herself to fall asleep, and soon was successful. Her dreams though, always held the beauty and fascination that she found with the goth girl.
