The mystical land of You'aen has a history written in blood. Then, 800 years ago, the last battle of its history was fought. The battle of Shadow Creatures. The last known magic-user died shortly after that battle. Now, in present day You'aen, a new magic-user has appeared for the first time in over 800 years, known only as 'Tsubasa'. After getting word of this, the current emperor of the eastern regions (Ietsuna Kagutaira) has commissioned a band of freelance mercenaries called the 'Kagami Bandits' to escort Tsubasa to his castle. Upon meeting, Aoi (a member of the Kagami Bandits) and Tsubasa start to develop strong feelings for each other. Little do they know that they have a hidden connection that will change the fate of the world...
