Chapter 12

Title: Eariler Darkness

[Author's notes: Hinata + OOC = Madness]

In the tower of fire Sakura, TenTen, Ino, and Hinata stood before the 5th Hokage.

“So that’s how it all happened, this Akatsuki thing is getting out of hand, I’ll send a squad of Anbu black ops to search for Shina you all take a couple of days off, dismissed.” Tsunade ordered as the group of girls nodded and turned for the door.

“Hinata, may I have a word with you?” Tsunade spoke up suddenly as Hinata turned back to the tall blonde. The others watched as the Hyuuga walked back to Tsunade’s desk with questioning looks.

“Alone.” Tsunde snapped with a smirk as the others hurried out the door with only their curiosity. The blonde sat down with a sigh, looking at the future leader of the Hyuuga clan.

“This girl…”

“Hinata, Kurenai spoke to me earlier and said you’re having some problems… sexually.” Tsunade looked Hinata over with a straight face as she could help but smile at the young girl squirming in her seat. Hinata’s face turned bright red as her eyes dropped down to the floor, her index fingers tapping wildly.

“Well?” Tsunade cleared her throat as Hinata just nodded.

“And through my own observation, you have a thing for Temari of Suna, right?” Tsunde explained simply, knowing she was right the white-eyed girl just nodded again.

“I know you girls are coming of age where your bodies crave a certain kind of… “Attention” but it’s still dangerous to let yourself become attached to other people that way, your not in trouble Hinata this is just a fair warning.” Tsunade lifted her feet onto her desk and locked her fingers behind her head.

“Believe me; it will hurt a lot more if something terrible happened to her god forbid, she got lucky this time but maybe not next time, understand?” Tsunade finished her spiel as Hinata nodded yet again.

“Look at me and tell me you understand Hinata.” Tsunade’s voice hardened, waiting for Hinata’s white eyes to meet her green ones.

“Yes Lady Tsunade, I understand.” Hinata said meekly as she had a hard time looking the Hokage.

“Good, go get some rest with the others and remember what I said ok?” Tsunade assured caringly as Hinata stood and bowed her head.

“I will Lady Hokage, thank you.” Hinata made her way to the door somberly, her thoughts racing as her chest tightened.

“What do I do?”

Hinata pondered sadly as she walked down the hall, fighting back the tears ready to stream her cheeks yet again. Hinata made her way across the courtyard as Ino stood at the front gate, waiting. Hinata simply passed the blonde without a word.

“Soooo, what did she have to say?” Ino asked curiously as she walked next to her fellow genin. Hinata remained silent as her mind was a whirlwind of confusion.

“Hinata?” Ino tilted her head a bit, trying to catch the dark-haired girl’s eyes.

“Hinata, are you ok? Talk to me?” Ino was almost begging as she tried stopping the girl with a soft hand.

“Don’t fucking touch me!” Yelled Hinata slapping the girl’s hand away as Ino was taken back by Hinata’s language and reaction.

“I just want to make sure your ok.” Ino said quietly, showing real concern for her friend and comrade.

“It’s none of your goddamn business, and why is it every fucking time I'm like this, you show up, why do you keep stalking me?!?” Hinata’s angry voice drew strange looks from the people passing in the street as they all knew it was very unlike the Hyuuga girl to raise her voice or swear for that matter.

“But…” Ino whispered this time almost ashamed to be arguing with Hinata Hyuuga, Sakura yes, but not with the heir to one of the most honorable families in all the Leaf.

“But nothing, jus’ leave me alone, you stupid fucking flower girl.” Hinata pushed the blonde out of her way and darted down the street alone. Ino just stood by herself, wordless and hurt.

“Hinata-sama.”

Hinata began to run at top speed as she fought back the anger and sadness sweeping over her. She wiped her eyes unable to hold back as she blew by TenTen and Sakura eating rice balls.

“Hinata!” TenTen hollered and looked at Sakura with a shrug as Hinata didn’t even think twice, turning into an alley and sprung to the rooftops.

“Why do I hurt so much? My heart feels like its splitting in half.”

Hinata struggled for answer, scared and excited as she didn’t know what to do; she wanted to be free of these haunting thoughts that plagued her, but now something else began to whisper to her… something dark.

“I jus’ want…”

Hinata unexpectedly lost her footing across a roof as she tripped and fell into someone’s garden face first. Neji’s word poured to the front of her mind again as she threw up, lifting herself up.

“You can’t change who you are, no matter what you do.”

Her anger boiled into hate as she balled her fist and struck the soil under them. Again and again until a shiny red tomato rolled into the wrong place.

“Oh no, you ruin my tomatoes!” Hinata heard a voice speak up gruffly as she stared at the mess in front of her. A man stood over the girl as his hands meet his hips, looking at his destroyed plants. Hinata slowly got to her feet with ease as she looked the man straight in the eye, not even worried about the tomatoes squashed all over her front side. Noticing her tool pouch the man huffed.

“You damn ninja, think you can do whatever the fuck you want around here but let me tell…Arrgg!” The man was cut off instantly as Hinata struck the man with her gentle fist. Hinata could both hear and feel the man’s ribs crack under her hand as the man flew back screaming and gripping his chest on the ground.

“W-what the hell a-are you?” The injured man bellowed as the dark-haired girl’s eyes flashed black and then returned to white.

“Never speak to us like that!”

Silently, Hinata continued on her way, brushing off the tomatoes residue as she didn’t even bother to help or apologize to the man she had just severely injured.

“What was that?”

Hinata suddenly realized that she had blatantly hurt someone for no good reason as she shuttered violently.

“What just happened to me?”

Hinata drew a blank as she didn’t or more less couldn’t remember why she struck the man in the first place.

“I just need to get home and get some rest, that’s it I’m just exhausted that’s all.”

Hinata put what happened in the back of her mind as she landed in front of the main Hyuuga branch’s estate.

“Temari will be coming over soon.”

Hinata headed into the tranquility of the main garden as a set of eyes watched her from the roof, masked and clothed in black. Hinata’s senses rippled alive as the dark figure sprung down off the roof.

“I got her!”

A dark leer ceased Hinata’s face as she jumped and spun 180 degree with her foot leading the way. Her foot blasted the attacker to the left with brutal force into a wooden support on the deck. The support cracked a little as a breathless gasp escaped the dark figure’s mouth.

“H-Hina..ta.” Hinata walked slowly, grinning evilly with a charka filled hand towards the foreign intruder. Her eyes were black as night as she reached back with her fist ready, almost willing to end the stranger’s life.

“Hinata, I-it’s me!” The figure yelped as it pulled down its mask down. It was poor Hanabi, twisting in pain as Hinata’s eyes flashed back to normal.

“Hanabi?” Hinata said softly as the grin disappeared. The older Hyuuga hurried to help her sister as the girl just snarled in anguish.

“My arm, it’s dislocated!” Hanabi gritted her teeth as Hinata handled her arm carefully.

“I’m so sorry; I didn’t mean to kick you so hard.” Hinata said weakly as she quickly jerked the young girl’s arm back into place.

“Arrgghh, thanks.” Hanabi shook her stinging arm as she looked at her sister with a surprised look.

“What the hell was with those black…?”

“Eyes? Here, let me help you.” Hinata’s devious smile returned as Hanabi flinched back against her throbbing arm.

“…And that smile?”

“No, I’m fine p-please d-don’t.” Hanabi scrabbled to her feet hurriedly and out of her sister’s reach.

“What’s wrong Hanabi, jus’ let me…” Hinata tried to help as Hanabi scampered off swiftly.

“I’m fine.” Hanabi yelled over her shoulder and disappeared out of Hinata’s sight as the older girl stared in wonder. Hanabi rounded the corner breathing heavily, holding her arm.

“There’s something wrong with Hinata.”

Hinata looked around the garden then her hands, still dumbfounded by people and their strange reactions to her.

“Why is everyone acting so strange?”
