Chapter 4

Erin sighed, and watched the clock tick slowly. Jeez, Its going to be incredibly awkward. After telling them off that I won’t join, I come back because Faye happens to have Art Club after school…plus, if I can get myself to believe I don’t like Faye, then I won’t ruin this friendship we have…

Erin watched the seconds tick slower, as if the clock were mocking her. Next to her, Faye was finishing off her Geometry Homework. Erin watched her from the side of her eye, smiling at the concentrated expression she had on her face. Shaking her head, Erin tried turning her attention back to her teacher who was helping kids with some problems, but it failed, as her mind directed towards the angelic being seated next to her.

I don’t like her.’

Erin, turned her head focusing on her feet, but it trailed to the flats to her right, looking at the skin revealed at Faye’s feet.

I don’t like her.’

Her eyes trailed up Faye’s creamy white legs that looked smooth since there was no hair stubble, or anything, as if Faye had simply perfect legs. Her eyes trailed up until it hit the black leggings that stopped around Faye’s shins, and started looking at her thighs, which were in a perfect shape.

I don’t like her.’

Faye’s dark blue casual-looking dress was higher than mid center of her thighs since Faye was seated, but it just made Erin more distracted and more in a trance-like mode.

I don’t like her.’

The girl next to her had a thin waist line, not from over-exercising or anorexia, but from eating the right amount food and making sure her body was healthy.

I don’t like her…’

Erin’s eyes immediately jumped up to the top of Faye’s head, and looking down at her blonde hair, that didn’t make her seem like one of those stereotypical blonde girls, but it was a nice color, and trailed down, to her light, aqua blue colored eyes that reminded Erin of the sky, or being over a beautiful ocean.

I…I…I don’t like her…’

Her nose was cute, and below it were her red lips, that Erin wanted to…investigate, or rather, wanted to take her eyes off it.

I don’t like her!’

Her neck, it looked so beautiful, but it looked like it was ready to be ravished by someone, to be covered with kisses and marks of property by Erin….or some other person, but the thought made Erin boil up in disgust.

I…

Erin’s eyes trailed down even more, and a blush grew at her cheeks as she stopped at something that just made her…stare at dumbfounded. Faye’s breasts weren’t flat or small like Erin’s, but medium, and it gave her a perfect shape. They were perfect.

I…’

Feeling guilty, Erin looked back up at Faye, examining her face, wanting to caress her cheek, but suppressed the desire, but her heart jumped at seeing Faye smiled, most likely from solving a problem and understanding it.

I like her...’

Suddenly, a paper ball hit the side of Erin’s face, and she jumped up with a yelp, getting a glare from her teacher who shortly returned to his/her work (Erin really didn’t know, and didn’t want to ask. He/she preferred to be called, Professor for some reason) and looked next to her. Joe was across the room on Faye’s side, and the ball hit the opposite side, and Erin scanned the room, ready to throw pencils at the person who interrupted her…examining process.

Suddenly, she saw a familiar boy with a cast on his arm and his pale blue eyes and his jet black fohawk hair, and whispered, “Ryan?!” However, it wasn’t really a whisper, since Faye looked up and looked to what Erin was staring at.

“Who’s Ryan?” Faye said…coldly.

Erin sighed, and pointed at the boy who simply grinned. Erin sighed, not seeing that emotionless expression planted on Faye’s face, but instead mouthed the words, ‘I didn’t even know you had this class!’ Ryan grinned, and shrugged, mouthing back, ‘I didn’t know either, I just met you in PE. We only have these two classes together though, hey, OPEN THE PAPER BALL.’

Erin brought up the ball, and opened the crumpled paper and read the scribbled contents…

“Y-you…” Erin read, confused by all the doodles. Squinting her eyes, she didn’t know that Faye was reading it along with her. “Were…” whispered Faye, as Erin focused on the next word.

“So…” Faye muttered again, as Erin flattened again in order to make it more readable, and then her eyes widened at the words laid out in front of her, and crumpled it up, not giving Faye a chance to read the rest.

“You son of your mother!” Erin said as a threat before ripping out many pieces of paper and crumpling them up into balls, and threw the mass amount of paper balls at Ryan as the teacher was busy helping a bunch of other students, not even noticing the scene unfold. Ryan would catch the balls back, and throw them at Erin, who had a blush on her cheeks.

How could he write that, I SO wasn’t checking Faye out! Wait…Damnit, I did! Erin grimly thought as she picked up her math book and flung it at Ryan, who yelped and ducked and the book smacked against the wall. The smack attracted much attention since it was a loud noise, and the teacher finally turned around to see paper balls everywhere and all over Faye and Erin’s desk, and saw paper balls in Ryan’s hands.

The math he/she/whatever person glared, and said, “GONZALDEZ, WEBSTER! Detention after school! NELSON, just because your grandfather founded this school does not mean you can allow such disgrace in my sanctuary! DENTENTION FOR YOU TOO YOUNG LADY! BWHAHAHAHA!” the evil he/she/man/monster/dog/object/cheese snickered.

Erin turned to Faye with a sad look on her face, before apologizing. “I’m really sorry I got you detention, I’m really, really, REALLY sorry. I didn’t mean to, please don’t hate me, please please puhh-leaaaase?” Erin said, while batting her eyes and having her best puppy face on. Instead of seeing that light smile that would cover Faye’s face, she saw a light blush.

Blushing…? She blushes after finding out that she has detention with me and Ryan. Does she blush with me? She seemed angry at Ryan throwing stuff, I could tell, I sensed some sort of evil demonic aura emitting from her…perhaps my beautiful Faye- er, my…friend Faye likes Ryan? Oh, that’s not good. Should I kill him? Beat him to death? Shoot him? Rape him? Have Joe violate him? Get Spongebob to gang bang him? I must defeat the evil… Erin glared at Ryan, detesting that feeling in her heart.

She knew Faye, she knew she wouldn’t like such a guy! Then again, I barely just met her… Erin sighed, and turned to Faye. Pointing at herself, Erin looked seriously into Faye’s azure blue eyes. “Do you consider me as a friend? Despite the fact that we barely know each other…?”

Faye looked at her, surprised at the question at first, before getting that smile she had when she was with Erin, and turned to her paper, and inhaled, and exhaled all that was on her mind. “It doesn’t matter how long we’ve known each other…I kind of feel like I ‘click’ with you. I feel…more like me then I feel like the way I am with myself. I kind of feel like I have the choice to know you, to become…close to you…” Faye said under her breath, but loud enough for Erin to hear, in which the answer made Erin delighted.

Erin grinned and jumped on Faye’s lap, who was surprised by the sudden weight, and hugged her as if it were the day before they all became mattresses and the trees slept on them. “Aww, that was so sweet, Faye. You have this charm, my dear, you’ve got me wrapped around your finger…” Erin sung horribly, but got a giggle from Faye who pushed her away, her face a bit pink and her smile bigger than usual.

But looks are deceiving. “Well then, Erin,” Faye cupped Erin’s cheek, before leaning closer to the younger girl, and licking her lips, “We should get to know each other anyways…”

Erin was … shocked. In a good way, an extremely good way. The moment Faye’s hand cupped her cheek, she completely zoned out, and focused on the approaching lips. Faye’s touch was…sending electric shocks all the way down her body, enough that she wouldn’t be surprised if Faye noticed her shiver and tremble at the touch.

But … looks are deceiving. Faye squeezed Erin’s cheek, and laughed as she pulled back. Erin retreated back to her seat, and pouted, “That was mean and cruel Faye!”

Faye smiled, and replied, “That was completely, with out a doubt, cute, Erin.”

Erin pouted, crossed her arms and legs, and pouted to the side, “I’m not cute.”

Ryan snuck up from behind and poked Erin’s arm. “Faye’s a pedophile, she thinks a child is cute.” Erin glared at Ryan and smacked him at the side of his head, causing him to duck and smack his face in Erin’s chair.

“Overkill!” shouted Joe from across the room, and Erin flung her binder at him. “You’re ugly!” Erin cried at Joe, who started crying and sat in the corner.

Faye laughed, whole-heartedly, and not just a giggle or anything, and she smiled. “I’m more than a pedophile…um…Ryan. I think I’m a molester if I rephrase that sentence as, ‘That was completely, with out a doubt, sexy, Erin.”

Ryan let out a fake gasp and used one hand to cover his mouth and another to point at Faye before accusing her for any ‘shameful’ acts she could commit, before grinning, and acting like an old man. “However, Faye, one must have responsibility before a great lover, you do not want to get her pregnant.”

Faye blushed, not wanting to reply, but Erin let her mouth open too soon. “But what if we get condoms?”

The room suddenly went quiet at the word condoms, everyone eager to listen in on the conversation, and Faye’s face became extremely red. “U-um…Erin…I’m not a guy.”

“Oh.” Was the response that left Erin’s mouth, and an awkward silence continued to roam the room. Ryan grinned, “They said when there’s an awkward silence a gay baby is born…”

Erin jumped up, holding her stomach, and shouted out to everyone, “OHMYGOSH! HE/SHE PROFESSOR! I THINK MY WATER BROKE!!” The classroom was silent before cracking up, no one really imagining the small, short, skinny Erin could even take a baby in the first place. “CONTRACTIONS, CONTRACTIONS!!” Erin shouted, rolling on the floor.

Faye laughed, and silently muttered, “Author has bad contractions too, worst than those someone pregnant may have…”

Erin looked up at Faye, not hearing what she said, and asked, “What did you say?” Faye just shook her head and giggled, replying, “Nothing, nothing, nevermind.” Erin looked at her, and shrugged, and continued rolling on the floor, doing weak tumbles and crashing into Faye’s and Ryan’s feet.

Erin smiled, not even caring if what she did was immature. It made Faye smile.

The bell came faster, faster than they had expected. Erin had to hold up joining the photography club, Faye skipped art club, and Ryan just lied to his parents saying he was going to a friend’s house, and they all walked to the detention room.

Erin jumped and hopped as they walked there there, not really caring about the fact that they had detention, as did Ryan, but Faye did seem a bit hesitant and nervous. “Is this your first detention?” Erin asked, nudging Faye with her elbow with her grin plastered on her face like it usually is. Faye nodded, her face a bit more paler than it usually was, and Erin smiled. “Aww, don’t worry. Detention is like, a study hall after school. All we have to do is finish our homework and we get free time to talk and stuffs.”

Faye let out a sigh of relief, and followed Erin from behind, eyeing her and Ryan talking with grins on their faces. She felt a stir in her heart, discomforted by seeing that, but pushed away that feeling. Her light blue eyes trailed down to her feet, and immediately froze as she felt her heart ripping in pain. Dropping down on to her knees, her breathing become short and shallow, to the point where she was almost choking. It hurts… it hurts… it hurts…She chanted in her head, as she grasped her chest.

Looking up, she realized she hadn’t made a noise yet, and Erin and Ryan kept walking. Faye moved to get help, but her knees buckled from the immense pain that shook through her body and fell. Her heart felt like it was going to rip apart, literally. Coughing, she felt blood rising from her throat, and finally, Erin stopped, and turned around.

With fear in the younger girl’s eyes, Faye saw Erin widen her eyes, and her vision blurred.

Ryan looked at Erin, confused at the fear on her face. “E-Erin, is Faye alright?”

Erin just stood there, watching Faye writher on the cold ground floor. There was nobody around except her and Ryan, and she just stood their numb. “F…Faye…?” Erin said, staring at Faye’s empty eyes staring at her in pain as her body started to stay still.

And Erin snapped.

Despite everything, all the recovery she’s progressed, all the warnings, all the pain, all the surgery, Erin dropped her backpack, gave it to Ryan, and ran to Faye. She felt her ligaments stretch in her right foot, rip and ache, and she felt her hidden scars burn as the insides started to tear up.

Faye was heavier than the shorter girl, but Erin wouldn’t let that come into her way. Faye…there was something wrong with Faye. She put Faye on her back, wrapped the taller girl’s arms around her neck, and held her up by her thighs that were on each side of her body, and started…to run.

Feeling the wind in her face was a nostalgic feelings, and she simply tuned out. She tuned out the pain, she tuned out the panic in her heart, and she just ran. Her legs pumped blood threw her body, and she felt her muscles rip, still not fully healed, and she still ran.

Faye’s hurt. Erin nimbly thought, running through the corridors with the faint girl on her back. She’s hurting right now… Erin jumped down flights of stairs, ignoring the pain erupting within each step she took. Once she had exited the school, she had begun to feel a limp and exhaustion from the amount of pain circulating through her right leg to her whole body.

The hospital luckily was probably around 4 blocks away from the school, so Erin didn’t falter or slow down. Faye was hurting, and Erin would go through hell to make sure she stopped, and didn’t know why. Why…Why am I doing this for her? Erin ran around a corner, not seeing the road constructions signs and her right foot fell in a ditch and twisted and cracked. She yelped, but made sure Faye didn’t touch the ground, and got back up and hissed from the pain and from the fact that she had to go the long way to the nearest Hospital.

Erin felt her own tears stream down, and felt some of her scars start to open up and blood seep out. But she kept running, and dashed past cars that screeched along the pavement to avoid any accidents. Some honked at her, others got out to either cuss her out, or see what was wrong with the blonde girl the short one carried.

“Erin?” said a familiar voice. Erin turned, with pain in her eyes, and looked at the familiar face, the young features and the auburn colored locks of curly hair that went silky smooth past the older girls shoulder was easily recognized with Erin.

“M-mia…F…Faye…” Erin mumbled, and Mia just nodded before grabbing Faye from the shorter girl and helped the fainted girl in the car. But, as she put her down, Mia turned to Erin while her hand was on Faye’s chest. “Erin…stay in the back! She’s not breathing!”

Erin let out a breath of pain, her heart filled with panic. Nothing was thinking right, as she immediately went to Faye’s side in the back of Mia’s car, and pumped at Faye’s chest. Her delicate face was paler, and her eyes were slightly open for Erin to view the unconscious light blue eyes that lay there.

Erin heard Mia shut the door and run to the front, but ignored it all. The only thing she remembered before pain over took her herself was feeling her give air to Faye and pressing against her soft pink lips.
