Ray gently shakes Tyla awake.
“Tyla, don’t you have an exam today?”
Tyla opens her eyes and looks at the clock reading 9am.
“Holy fuck! I’ve got just over an hour, shit!” Tyla jumps out of bed, dressing as quickly as she can. She heads to the door and sees sadness in Ray's face.
Tyla runs back and leaps onto Ray, who squeals with surprise. “You . . . are . . . awesome!” Tyla kisses her deeply, coaxing her tongue in. Ray wraps her arms around Tyla and responds with enthusiasm. Tyla finally breaks free. “I want to stay with you Ray, I really do, but I don’t have time.”
“Well then, will I see you later?”
“I don’t know when, but I’ll try. I have some errands this afternoon.”
“Good luck!” Ray collapses back on the bed.
Tyla closes the door and stops dead when she sees the two blondes sitting at the table eating breakfast. Michelle stopped mid-bite.
“Was that you last night . . . banging and screaming?”
Tyla blushed. “Yeah, I guess so. I’m late, can I take this?” pointing to the toast.
The girls nod. Tyla takes it and races out the door. The two girls look at each other and rush into to Ray’s room. They burst in and jump onto Ray’s bed.
Ray jumps back against the wall and pulls the sheet up. “What the fuck?”
“You didn’t . . . not with Tyla! All that noise coming through my damn wall was you two?”
Ray looks at them in silence.
“Fuck Ray, say something before I strip this bed sheet off and tickle you,” said Michelle.
Ray holds the sheet tighter. “She stayed over . . . so?”
“Ray, she’s . . .” started Sophie in disbelief.
“She is the most amazing person. She has no inhibitions about anything. We fucked each other and made love all at the same time. It was so incredible!” gushed Ray.
“Slow down, Ray.”
“No Michelle, this is it. I’m in love. I’m so in love with this girl. We had the most mind-blowing sex ever.”
“Ray, its not like she’s had a lot of experience in this area,” said Sophie.
“I don’t care, she's so . . ." Ray puts her hands to her eyes and catches her breath.
Sophie realizes Ray is crying. “Hey, hey, don’t be upset with me. I’m happy for you, really.”
“I know, but it was just so intense!”

The day drags on and Ray hasn’t seen or heard from Tyla. The day after is the same and Michelle encourages Ray to pop up and see her. Ray refuses and sulks most of that day.
A note is slipped under the door late in the afternoon. Michelle picks it up and reads it.
“End of exam party at Tyla’s place. Celebrate the end of exams before I go home for the holidays. Hope to see you. Tyla.”
Ray hits the roof. “Fucking hell! She couldn’t even come in and tell me personally. I’m not going to her stupid fucking party.”
Sophie touched Ray’s arm. “Just come along and talk to her.”
“Why should I? She couldn’t be bothered with me after she got what she wanted. Fuck, I’m such a moron!” Ray goes to her room and slams the door.

The party is in full swing when Tyla enters the kitchen to find John, Gerrick and Julie leaning against wall.
“I’m sorry about the crowd.”
John laughed. “It’s okay, but you certainly know a lot of people.”
“Actually I don't. I only made about 12 copies, but I left the original invitation in a photocopier at the library.”
They all look into the main room at a crowd of about 50.
Julie laughs. “You are definitely a cracker. What are we going to do for those two weeks while you're away?”
“Sleep,” says Gerrick.
Tyla punches Gerrick. “And get your own milk.”
Their laughter is broken up by the arrival of Michelle and Sophie. The girls hug Tyla.
“Where's Ray?”
“She’s not coming Tyla,” says Michelle.
“What, why not? She loves a party,” says Tyla sadly.
“Actually, she's really upset,” growls Sophie.
Michelle hits Sophie. “Sophie, don’t . . .”
“No, she needs to know. Ray is our friend and she’s upset because you haven’t contacted her since the night you two spent together.”
Gerrick and John choke on their beers.
“I'm not avoiding her. I just haven’t had time.”
“Really? Or maybe you just got what you wanted,” says Sophie
“No, it's not like that. I've just been so busy with exams, then organizing my trip home tomorrow and I . . . kinda didn’t get around to it. It wasn’t deliberate.”
“Maybe you should tell her. Perhaps you can break her heart completely and get it over with,” says Michelle.
“I'm not going to do that! I really like Ray, I really do.” She looks around at the group. The boys haven’t blinked since finding out about Ray and Tyla. Michelle shifts uncomfortably.
“Tyla I think you should go and talk to her, admit to her what you feel,” says Julie.
“It’s going to be difficult . . . I'm still a little confused.”
Tyla leaves to find Ray.
“Those two weeks without Tyla better go fucking quick,” laughs Gerrick.
“Tyla with Ray . . .” says John, shaking his head “I hope she enjoyed it.”
Michelle takes a sip of her drink. “She said it was the most mind blowing sex she had ever had.”
Julie looks at John. “Well, I’ll bet there's a new dent your ego, buddy.”
“I'm getting another beer.” John walks away from the laughter.

Ray opens the door. “Oh, it’s you.”
She walks away with Tyla following close behind. “Ray we need to talk. I’m sorry, I just . . .”
“Look, just save it, okay? We had a good time blah, blah, blah. Just move on. I have!” yells Ray.
Tyla lowers her head. “But I haven’t moved on. And I don’t want to, either. If you don’t want me, then it's you that’s been avoiding me. What did I do wrong?”
Ray shakes her head. “Nothing, nothing . . . I just thought you didn’t cared.”
“Just ‘cause I haven’t been here, doesn’t mean I wasn’t thinking of you. I can't stop thinking of you. For the past few days, I’ve constantly tried to sort us out and I keep coming back to the same conclusion.”
“Yeah, what?”
Tyla embraces Ray. “You're part of me and I want you in my life. I’m totally confused about everything . . . except you. My feelings for you are the only thing that makes sense and I don’t want to give that up.”
Ray finally surrenders and pulls Tyla close. “I thought you didn’t want me.
“Oh Ray, but I do, I do! After the other night, you can forget being alone.”
“Is that right?”
“Yep! But no other women, promise?”
“What about Sophie, Michelle and her puppies.”
“Well, only them as long as I get to watch, but no one else. Got it?” Tyla pokes Ray.
“Okay, okay, so I guess I'm going to your party,” says Ray.
Ray moves to the door, looks over her shoulder and sees Tyla going into her bedroom.
“Nah, you go without me. I’m going to spend some time with Angelina Jolie.” And takes her shirt off
Ray walks into her room. “Not without me!”

Julie looks at her watch. It's been an hour since Tyla left.
“Hey, Michelle, you think Tyla will be coming back to her party?”
Michelle smirks. “Nah, not likely.”
The girls begin laughing.
